Hi, I like traveling, languages, music and sexy women.

I browse the Internet to study places to live in for a while. Then I watch videos like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Bj1GaBdCG4 and think to myself 'Nice, Brazil it is!'. But look at those Dominican dembow girls, they are also fit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0K1oP81Nro . Let alone those Paisas: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0Lx1F8Ubkw . Or how about the french: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPC8Qkrs2F4 ?

I've read a lot of insights into the pros and cons about various Latin (American) countries but the more I read the more options I see in search of a country/city that I can live in for at least three months. My brain is overloaded with information. With limited time and money I just don't know which place to choose without questioning whether another choice would have been better later on.

Which strategy would you recommend to get a feel for the various places in Latin America:

Visiting every city/region that you're interested in for about 2 weeks, then go back to your favorite one. That is you would most likely live in hostels/hotels/short term rentals, spend more money due to constantly moving localities/trying to make the most of you stay under time pressure and have a harder time building a social circle with the locals.

OR

Staying in one place for 3 to 6 months with the occasional getaway into nearby cities/the countryside and then determine if you still have the wish to visit other Latin American countries. The disadvantages mentioned above wouldn't apply and you could afford a longer stay in Latin America for the same money that you largely would have been spend on flight tickets/constantly eating out and a generally tendency to spend more money as a tourist. Furthermore, a longer stay allows you to socialize more with locals by joining dancing classes, gyms and and other regular activities.

That happens if you read the forum.

You just need to pick one and go.

Many times you will find your experience to be way different than other forum members. There are just too many variables.

I have actually found a lot of places to be not as good as a lot of people say or claim. But so much of this comes down to perspective.

Yeah, so just start traveling and you will figure it out.
