In game, when you have no brains it probably will be easier to fuck hotter girls. However, when that anxiety and depression kicks in, you will need your brain to keep you in line in the long run.

The best players I have heard off are borderline genius and insane.

This is what I call a Simplex question. Seemingly simple yet very complex.

Brains

What kind of "Brains" are we talking about ? Social Intelligence, general knowledge/exposure, Raw problem solving intelligence ?

When it comes to girls all that matters is social intelligence man.

I've always been very anaytical, logical ... I like to ask questions and break things down to their bare essence or draw conclusions from trends or situations. Mental workouts are my thing.

This might get you admiration from Men & let you succeed academically( given a baseline level of discipline)

When it comes to women however, it means next to nothing. I constantly have to struggle with pretending to be interested in mundane things 99 % of women are interested in.

Back in March I had this date with this 24 y/o History grad student ( I'm undergrad and lied about my age). I figured she would be interested about her field but all she would talk about is her friends, her friends' boyfriends, her sisters and how cute her pet rabbit was.

Tbh , if women didn't have vaginas, men would hunt them like wild animals. They just have no use.

As a result, I believe that for a lot of guys with too much Intellectuality could do with less of it because all it does is make you over analyze things and make it harder to relate with women.


Muscles

As a guy who turned from skinny to sexy (see my avatar), I can tell you that muscles do matter. But only to a certain extent.

I got more out of upgrading from skinny to fit than going from fit to muscular.

However for a lot of guys, muscles give them the sense of entitlement and confidence they did not have before. Men you once considered competition are no more.

As a result, your game skyrockets in direct correlation with muscles.

Conclusion

An average bodied intellectual guy with little social intelligence can greatly benefit from building muscle as it increases his confidence.

A dumb muscular guy can pull a wider range of girls if he learns how to be intellectually stimulating.

An average bodied social intelligent guy can get his game to astronomical levels if he builds some muscle.

All in all ...

Owning a Zebra > Social Intelligence > Muscles > Intellectual Intelligence

Unless the intellectual intelligence is translated into Money later in life !

With a great body you're accessing a woman @ her most basic level. She can't help but twirl her hair and bat her eyes. (and open her legs). Being in good shape makes that you can make alpha mistakes and not worry about them.

Even assuming you can't use brains to get muscles, brains still beat muscles in utility.

Muscles are only good for picking up girls; brains can be leveraged more broadly to improve one's life.

My gut reaction was brains, but in case, that this was an artifact of my narcissism--I thought about this a bit more carefully, along different values of z-scores for muscles and brains.

My conclusion was that the closest muscles gets to brains is probably around +1 to +2 z-scores.

Somewhere around +1 or +2 stDevs in musculature you start seeing a qualitative difference in picking up girls; your physique alone will start attracting girls.

However, being +1 to +2 stDevs in intelligence isn't qualitatively different from being dumber than that, and "intellectual" pursuits such as STEM academia or quantitative trader are still out of reach.

By +3 the gap between brains and muscles is very wide again. Being +3 in physique doesn't "buy" you that many more girls than being +2 in physique would, but being +3 in intelligence opens up a lot of doors in life that +2 wouldn't.

I think of the returns to muscles as being a skewed logistic curve with the rate of change highest around +1 to +2 z-scores, but returns to brains being much less unbounded.

+2 std devs means you're in the 97.8th percentile, no? For reference, that percentile amounts to about a 2140 on the SAT. Pretty high, but not enough to be accepted into a top school off horsepower alone.

If you're black or latino, 2140 means you're a shoe-in at any school. If you're white or Asian, it indeed is the case that 2140 is insufficient for "horsepower alone" admission.

But indeed, +2 standard deviations in intelligence still isn't that smart. The average investment banking PPT&Excel-cranking analyst drone is probably around there.

In the hard sciences nowadays, +4 standard deviations may be what's needed to make significant contributions to the wealth of knowledge.
