Even when I am in a very good mood, to people most strangers i seem angry and arrogant until of course they talk to me.

I feel like with a little more jovial facial expression I can step up my game to the next level.

What is your default facial expression like and do any of you have experience changing it ?

I had the same problem. I used to walk around with a blank stare on my face. I didn't like to be expressive. I thought it was a waste of energy. I am more of a quiet type of person. I like to conserve energy. I really don't want to talk to people when I am out. I just wanna get my shit down. I am really an anti-social person.

People said I looked like I was mad, even though I was happy.

I thought my facial expression was just neutral.

WestCoast told me that girls were looking at me and I wasn't not smiling at them. He thought my facial expressions could be more attractive.

I started to work on it. Basically, I started smiling more. Not a huge, wide, full smile but just a light smirk or grin. Now, when I make eye contact with a girl, I give a soft smile. This has been working much better.

This has actually helped my game alot.

When girls look at me, they see more confidence, humor, light-heartedness. These things are more attractive then my former look of indifference, not caring, and neutral.

I have since improved my eye ball language and overall body language.

I was not presenting myself in the most attractive way.

Your body language is an expression of your vibe. We need to present an attractive vibe if we want women to be curious about us.

Body language = Fashion. You wear it and it effects how people perceive you.

Thanks Gio !

I'll start working on some attractive default expression. Smiling has always been a huge hang up of mine. I even have trouble smiling in pictures.

I would +1 rep you if i didn't already do that less than 2 weeks ago.

RE: What is your default facial expression ?
I think its more of having a more relaxed expression on our faces.

Growing up, i had a very focused, serious expression on my face and some people i randomly at a bar told me i looked like i wanted to kill someone. I then had no idea what they meant as i wasn't aware...it was just i was into my thoughts alot of the time...to where i decided to look at how face that face was and i'm like 'Holy shit!"

But then as i learned to relax my face more, people seem more open to say hi out of the blue.

I know some people are stubborn about this and say "I'll look as pissed off as i want to"...well...if no girls are smiling ur way...don't say i didn't tell u.

But default face expression....kinda a half smile.

Over the years trained myself to have a default slight smile as an expression.

Hmmm.. Interesting..?

I wonder why you are uncomfortable smiling? I actually used to have the same problem. Maybe, I was afraid to show weakness???

I wanted to look tough and strong. Smiling felt soft to me. I was wrong. Smiles, smirks, and grins are better for getting girls.

Also, its important to relax your eyes and not have serial killer eyes.

Agreed.

We want to be alpha. We want to be tough. But, this often leads to a face that shows too much tension. We think we look macho and strong, but, often that just makes us look like we are trying to hard.

I have had much better results from being relaxed and happy.

I believe a lot of our subtle mannerisms are learned in our early teens. Everyone has an ideal self they want to achieve. We adjust our character towards that ideal self and start acting in that manner. Over time, it becomes who we are.

For example regular guys who adopted the Hip-Hop swag persona in our early teens eventually became just that.

My idol in my teens was James Dean and now that I think of it i always tried to mimic his non-smiling , non-chalant facial expressions which over time became a part of me. While it does spark interest, people are going to be less receptive of you.

Probably the reason I started smoking cigarettes at 16 too.

This thread is too funny. Tuth, that convict looking guy set me off.

Gio, any detailed advice on how you altered your facial expression? I've been thinking about this a lot because I have the serial killer face even though it doesn't reflect me. I'm pretty sure I've lost prospects on lack of returning smiles alone... even when I mean to, I just can't smile sometimes.

I'm going for the cheeky smirk without seeming too happy...more like a look of arrogant indifference but with a positive aspect to it. Any thoughts?

The smirk is the way to go.

Think James Bond.

Smiling and grinning makes people see you as nice, safe and friendly.

You don't want that... you want quietly confident and a sexual threat.

EDIT: By sexual threat I mean, he has the balls to escalate things to sex.

I did deadlifts the other day and went for 405 beltless. Totally crushed it then I walked over to the water fountain looking exactly like this and there was this 11/10 chick walking towards me. We made eye contact and she just turned around ahahhaah.

It started with my attitude and perspective.

I stopped trying to be a tough guy. Instead of trying to be a tough guy, I just wanted to be a fun guy.

Also, I allowed myself to be happy. I learned to forgive the people who had done me wrong.

I got help for the underlying emotional issues that I was angry about.

I decided I wanted to go through life with a new outlook. I studied comedians.

I forced myself to smile more and talk to more people in public.

Little by little, I lightened up and stopped taking life so serious.

I traveled to other countries and saw people that were always laughing and smiling. Going to Brazil helped alot.

I decided that I wanted to change my life and I attacked the issue from all angles.

The serial killer look is unattractive.

The James Bond smirk will get you farther in life.

It's really not that hard. Just smile and say hello to people.

Why? Are you afraid to show vulnerability?

Are you insecure about it?

Cheeky smirk is alot better then serial killer.

Allow more humor into your life. Don't be so serious.

You don't have to smile around guys, but, you should be smiling around girls.
