When I met the first Russian girls here I took them on the first 'date' to an expensive place in Cannes. It was totally needless and made things harder for me.

1. Because those places are boring as hell most of the time. Very reserved atmosphere which is not good for flirtation and fun.
2. Because I am not rich so the whole time I was thinking about the bill and how bloody expensive it would be which is not a good frame of mind.
3. It did not impress them at all. Why? Because these were not country bumpkins from Vorkuta but rather highly educated and successful women who are from Moscow. They have eaten out on Tverskaya numerous times no doubt.

Cheap or expensive has nothing to do with it.

Dope or wack, has everything to do with it.

I concur.

Look at it this way. Do you think Richard Branson takes a date to a high end restaurant first thing?

All the pics I see of the guy he's having a blast on the beach or something else fun.

Hell, I get dressed up and take girls to a seedy lounge for first dates and they love it.

Staring at each other across a table while eating steak and lobster isn't very exciting no matter what it does for your palate.

Vorkuta,

Any dope date spots you recommend for Nice, Cannes, Monaco?

Clubs, restaurants, nightclubs? Even lunch spots would be appreciated.

RE: Dirty Rotten Scoundrel: Cote d'Azur
To answer some of the PMs I received: The reason I didn't post any more in this thread was because I got access to the boat after a couple of weeks and then the whole game changed. I spent my days sailing up to Monaco or down to Antibes. When you do that it's impossible to post up your stories without coming across as some kind of boasting dick head. I hate boasters so preferred to let the thread die.

Out on the boat:

So date spots G, yes plenty in Nice.

Start off by meeting at the 'W' bar which is next to the Westminster hotel ( part of the hotel but separate entrance ). It's a plush champagne bar but you can get reasonably priced glasses of wine and spirits etc. Chilled atmosphere, very chilled but good place to start off.

Then head up to the top terrace of the Le Meridien for a glass of wine whilst overlooking the Promenade De Anglais with your date. There are sofas up there. Best view in the evening when it's lit up. Have some drinks and say "let's go and get drunk".

For that I always took them to Wayne's Bar ( I doubt many Nice experts will agree this is a good place but I swear by it ). It's a grungy studenty type place with cheep drinks and loud music. You can up the temperature here by getting drunk and getting her into a more sexual state.

Then finally if you want you can hit the club 'High' which is on the promenade. I hated it but that is because I hate clubs in general. It's only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I went in and left after an hour. Lots of local dudes in there and a bit of a sausage-fest but if you are taking a girl with you then no problem.

I called it a night after Wayne's bar and took them home to mine or a walk on the beach.

I could take it out with 2 hours notice as I had to give them time to arrange a skipper and fuel her up.

When you are in a bar and you meet a Finnish tourist and you say 'do you want to sail up to Monaco tomorrow with me on my power boat?' there is not much more game needed. A boat is the biggest aphrodisiac I have ever known in terms of chicks.

I've been preaching this since jumpstreet here. Imagine having one 24/7 and waterfront bars to troll up and down the coast. I've been at this hard for 20 years.

Dope.

Thanks a ton.

You are The G.

Wait, a suit on a yacht in Côte d'Azur?

Wouldn't that qualify as Beta?

I hope you didn't pay for the gas for the boat.

Because we all know, if you take a girl on a yacht in Côte d'Azur and pay money for gas, you will be forever branded as a "beta" and nothing you could do in the future could ever change that.

(I actually think I am really confused on this whole "alpha-beta" thing now).

Side note:

That looks like Nice Port in the background.

Am I right?

Side note II:

Ever go to The Negresco Hotel for food or a cocktail?

What were your favorite restaurants?

DAMN!!! This is some Thurston Howell game going on. I can't imagine whats going on in a woman's mind when you pull boating game. You always see pics of Leonardo Dicaprio and other famous players partying with chicks on a luxury yachts--now you get to do it. Lets hear at least on good story.

RE: Dirty Rotten Scoundrel: Cote d'Azur
I feel you.

The boat was moored on the front line of the marina in Cap Ferrat. Opposite the boat was a line of restaurants where people sit outside and walk up and down. I would go down to the boat and sit on the sofas on the rear deck with a bottle of wine and just say hi to passing chicks. Every girl says hi to a guy on a boat. I'd invite them to join me for a drink and if I liked them and thought nothing better would come along I'd promise them a day out sometime and swap numbers. Fish in a barrel.

Good cars are common, any attractive girl has access to a guy with one. Boats are something else, a whole different level and most girls do not know anyone with one. The problem was that the chicks would spend a great deal of the time snapping photos of themselves as we sailed instead of getting down below deck to the bedrooms!

Called a G by THE G. I can retire happy now!

No the port in the background is Cap Ferrat. Nice port is for the mega mega yachts, the 15 bedroom and a night club type yachts.

To my shame I never went into the Negresco, I drove past it every day and always said tomorrow, tomorrow, but never made it. I heard there is a club in it but I don't know if that's true. I go back on Sunday to meet my favourite Russian chick so I promise to go in and see what the place is like.

Favourite restaurants: honest truth... the buffet in the Cap 3000 shopping centre! Well cooked meals with wine for 10 Euros. Not what you were expecting me to say but it's the truth.

All right, I'll finally listen to El Mech.

How big does the boat have to be? What's the best pussy-melting style? Speedboat? Cabin cruiser? As I prefer granola chicks, maybe a sailboat?

Looking good man. It looks like you found a great home base that will bring the women to you. This is something I have been thinking about for a long time. It gets tiring living in some places so it would be nice to live in a place like Nice where you have 1st world accommodations and a place that plenty of women would like to spend time.

I think most of us know your not a boasting dick so don't worry about posting some of your experiences and thoughts.

Is that a suit or separates (jacket & pants)?

Nice touch with the pocket square. And alpha body language.

Did you ever figure out how to close the girls who came on board by the end of those two weeks? Did bikinis come off?

And what was the cost of the charter? Skipper, crew, fuel, sundries...

No success without being hated!! I am not motivated to try to make some money so I can at least hover around the edges of a place like this. Maybe it's possible to rent something 10-15 miles inland for not too much.

You can rent a pretty nice studio or 1-Bdr Apt for a fairly reasonable price. I'd recommend Beausoleil, which is the french side of Monaco, walking distance and plenty of street parking. The key is a place with a balcony and sea view.

Sure, you can rent out a studio in beausoleil for a "reasonable" price. But nothing else is reasonable. Drinks? Eating out at a restaurant 40 Euro+ per person not including drinks.

The competition you're up against? Russian and Italian aristocrats who a "reasonable price" to them for an apartment is 10,000 euro/month. You're not gonna be bagging the dimes anything soon over there unless you're living the same wealthy lifestyle that they're expecting. Sure, you might fuck one of the whores who live in the apartments caused their looking for a revenge fuck after someone done and pissed them off. But that's just scraps.

It's not all cocaine and bitches my friend. It's also doable if you want to go there yourself or take someone with you (girl, fam, friends).

Date and cocktail spot in Monaco: the Vista hotel, spectacular perched building overlooking Monaco

The Aquarium is a good day date spot in Monaco, followed by drinks or coffee at the
Cafe de Paris. The Botanical Garden is not bad, it's perched high and has some nice sea view.

For pubs, at the strip by the port, the Stars and Stripes for a casual setting, and for high-end clubbing
if you're dressed up, have a hot date that's not in flip flops and are not too young, Jimmyz'.

Restaurants: if you have a car, the best restaurant outing in Monaco is in the old village of Roquebrune,
a few minutes just to the east, drive up to the village square and walk to the end of the alley.
La Grotte is a really good pizza place on the square high up, lively place, get reservations.
Inside the village, Au grand Inquisiteur, very good french cuisine, reasonably priced, very romantic setting.

Monaco proper is a bit of a tourist trap, albeit a nice one. Locals and people who know the area
will seek out places like the ones above. The main strip around the shopping mall in front of the casino
does get animated on weekend eves, mostly with Italian weekenders, but the restaurants are overpriced
and not all that great, not the best settings for dates.

Eze is a perched village above Monaco on the way to Nice, there are a couple of nice restaurants
with great views. Breathtaking setting, right around the corner above Monte Carlo:

The Chèvre d'Or is a grand restaurant, Michelin starred joint that will set you back several hundred euros,
top restaurant splurge in the area, but you could limit the damage by going for sunset drinks on the terrasse.

[Image: 38-so-2012restaurantscafecarte-photo01-fr2.jpg]

Le Nid d'Aigle is a mid-level restaurant in a beautiful old stone building with a nice deck and views.
Mets Vins Chics is also good, more modern with a great wine list.

5min East of Monaco on the Basse Corniche (seaside road), l'Hippocampe is a good restaurant in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin
(not to be confused with Roquebrune village above), family-owned for ages, traditional food and good seafood right by the water,
and you can swim there after lunch, make sure you ask her to bring her swimsuit.

The places I've pointed out in Roquebrune and Cap Martin are reasonably priced, good cuisine, and have better settings than most Monaco dineries, which tend to be ripoffs. Au Grand Inquisiteur is only 35 euros for a 3 course meal (tip and tax incl.), and it's quite good, great setting for a date.

That type of apartment rental would be good enough for real-life girls like Vorkuta's Russian pair. Million euro view on 100 euro/night. You don't have the pool for a night dip, but you could do that at the beach in a quiet cove off the trail in the Cap Martin peninsula after a nice dinner up on the hills, that's plenty to work with, and it's worked for me. Not fish in a barrell like with Vorkuta's yacht, but good fishing nevertheless if you're not hopeless.
