The 9% statistic should be taken as a floor. That number will rise as technology gets better. Plus let's see what people do, not what they say. How many people two decades ago would have said yes, they would regularly jerk off to lighted up pixels on a screen transmitted across a series of tubes? Hell, how many people would admit that now?

I can't see this taking off simply because it's inferior to porn and will be until you get to like Blade Runner level technology. Visual stimuli is worse: you're looking at a dead lifeless mannequin instead of a video of real girls. Could serve as a form of population control and keep the worst of the betas from reproducing.

If a guy is so beta that he decides to buy a 9/10 robot rather than have kids with a 2/10 wife that might be a good thing; hopefully a male equivalent that looks like a Ken Doll will be invented to appease the 2/10 fatties.
