and I came back with some issues. I just found it infuriating that he would openly praise me only to go behind my back and try to raw dog my then girlfriend while I'm out hooking and jabbing on his behalf.

I'm split on this. On one hand, I think one should not go beating on guys who hit on your girlfriend. If she gets with him, it's more because she wanted it, then him going after your girlfriend. That in turn, means you got bigger problems than just thirsty dude's hitting on your girlfriend.

On the other hand, this guy being all friendly or acting the role of friend, is a slimy motherfucker who is abusing the man's trust. For that I would beat on him as well, for he has proved no friend of mine.
