WSJ Book Review on Hookup Culture
http://online.wsj.com/article_email/SB10...ttom_email

Emily Esfahani Smith reviews The End of Sex by Donna Freitas

To summarize, the book says hooking up is dehumanizing to women and men. It's selfish too.

It seems like humpty dumpty's pieces can't be out back together because the people trying to do so only have a few of the pieces.

Seeing the whole picture is too painful so we get books like this.

Painful???

I think "seeing the whole picture" is a beautiful thing.

Sex is a beautiful thing.

"dehumanizing"???

No. It's the most "human" thing we can do!

Pretty much anyone who is anti-sex isn't getting laid. So that helps you understand why the author is against hookups.

yeah, i think its the opposite though: if you can't get laid, you become anti-sex, everything's wrong with society morally!

Yup.

Anti-sex people generally are not having quality sex.

Or, they are morality extremists who want to push their version of morality onto everyone else.

Anti-sex. Hahaha. Get a life!
