Two approaches depending on your vibe:

Say, "really? I didn't notice." Look away. Act bored that she's talking about this. Change the subject to something that you want to talk about.

Or say, "really? I didn't notice." Then lean in and ask her what she finds attractive in a man. Getting her thinking about attractive men will up her buying temperature and give you an insight into what she digs.

It never matters what your reply is. It's all in how you react, or how you don't react.

You could literally say the worst response, (ie. Really? Did you meet up with any other guys from that night?) said with the right tonality and subtext, it wouldn't matter at all.

This right here.

I learned this early on when I first started studying game but I thought being cocky was cool. As a recovering beta I was so used to just answering a girl's questions without even thinking, and then I started giving cocky answers which worked better but I realized that not even acknowledging their bullshit and restarting the conversation works so much better.

Now girls often say I avoid their questions or never take them seriously. And I've also never gotten laid more in my life.

That's about what my friend did: He simply said "Nice weather today, hm?"

But to me this sounds kinda butthurt. Also she followed up with something along the line of: "Does this make you jealous?" which implies he hasn't passed the shit test in her eyes.

I'm not sure what I would have said, but with only 1 sec to think I'd probably have answered with an agree and amplify like "Yeah, that night made me almost turn gay!"

I dont think so. I think she realised that he doesn't give a shit about her oh so subtle attempts to make him feel insecure. Thats why she bluntly follows up with the direct question about wether or not the thought makes him jealous.

I guess he could have gone with this line as well: 'Well if you mess this up with me, at least you'll know where to go to looking for your next date.'

But after thinking it over, I have to say not acknowledging it at all is probably the way to go.

I read this as the girl being frustrated that she couldn't provoke your friend into a jealous reaction. Her complaint is a sign he did pass the test- remember- when a girl complains that you aren't doing what she says wants you to do, you are almost always on the right track.

What a girl says she wants you to do and what behavior from you she actually finds attractive are two very different things

If anything, you could just play up the local stereotype (assuming it's not NYC/LA/MIAMI). The truth is, most American guys outside a few trendy zones in those cities still dress like full grown boys, I would have poked fun at that.
