Alright, I will leave this one with a final point, because this conversation surprisingly got emotional and sensitive and a lot of feelings were hurt (or maybe not so surprisingly).

Just because McDonald's popularized the hamburger doesn't mean that McDonald's makes the best hamburgers.

It doesn't mean McDonald's is the greatest restaurant.

It doesn't mean McDonald's invented the hamburger.

In fact, if you did a little deeper, you might realize that the McDonald's hamburger, although easy to access, is really just crap.

That is all I am saying boys. Dig a little deeper into history.

Search a little. Don't believe the crap that is spoon fed to you.

Yeah, but I think we all agree here that his value wasn't in his fashion sense. I haven't seen anyone here standing up for fuzzy hats etc. (except for me saying that flare can be good sometimes).

I think a lot of guys see the pics of the guy with the funny hat and are probably turned off game, which is a shame. But, I'd bet these are the same kinds of guys who take a little dabble in the game, get rejected a few times, and then come to the conclusion that it's all bullshit.

It's there loss, but it's our loss too. Part of the reason I come to this forum is to get perspectives that I can't see on my own. I wish there was an army of guys pro-actively trying new things out and reporting back to us here.

It makes me wonder how game has experienced growth in the last ten years. It sounds like there was a time when guys were going out like scientists, pushing very hard to break new ground.

I wonder how the rate of innovation during the heyday of alt.fastseduction compared to what we have going here.

It seems that you have a minority on this forum that are quite bitter in the way you represent yourself.

I come from a similar type of background which follows your type of mentality.

With respect to some of the tussles you get into , I view these kind of scenarios as a kind of play fight. With the intention of laughing about the outcome afterwards. Regardless of who seems to have the upper hand.

I think what upsets these people who are not familiar with this way of settlement so to speak.

Is the fact that they start the fight with the intention of winning and then get really upset when they feel they are in fact losing the battle in which they originally started. Hence why they get really vexed and do everything in their power to feel better about themselves by venting their anger, as their ego has been deeply punctured. Which goes to show that they care way too much and are taking things too seriously.

But real men who understand this concept, just get up, laugh about it. Shake hands and move forward and at times agreeing to disagree. Discussing about how they might have got out of the headlock etcetc and joking with his buddy (opponent) about how he will go down next time.

This toughens you up.

A lot of my good friends that I have, all understand this concept. If things do accidentally spark up.  

Anyway just thought I would let you know that in my opinion the hatred that you receive is purely from sore losers who would very much like to live in a similar manner as you, but have no idea how. which then leads on to jealousy and doubt. As they can't comprehend or come to terms with how you manage to live the way you do.

IMHO, Not everybody grows to understand this concept, I think it all boils down to a person's mentality. For the naturally more Alpha members I believe it is an innate trait.

Can it be learnt?

I guess but only after one has been knocked out a few times and come to terms with reality.

Ali, if what you say is true, that's really cool.

For me, this forum has served a purpose that is more than just sharing ideas and stories. I feel like it has me to build my confidence. If Mystery is lurking here as someone else, it's just more validation (yes, I think that there's a certain amount non-bang validation that is necessary and healthy) that this forum is probably the current center of the exchange of game ideas.
