Since I saw Mystery's show, "The Pick Up Artist" on VH1. (which turned out to be fake)

before that i guess it started in 4th grade when i tried to kiss the pretty girls at recess.

But I've mentioned in other posts that when I did get laid before 'studying' game, I was actually using some of the key tenets; scarcity, aloofness, demonstrating value, playful teasing and the like.

I first found out about this stuff around 2004 or so. I was a complete AFC to the bone. Needy as hell, if I liked a girl I'd tell her all this emotional stuff way too soon and scare her off, low self-esteem. Did everything I could to seek girls approval, had no idea how to make myself the prize or demonstrate higher value. I was a complete mess with no inner game to speak of not to even mention outer game. I still don't have great outer game, due to my low key and somewhat introverted temperament, but I'm not sure there's much I can do about that, I think I was just born that way. But as far as inner game I feel like I'm a new person. Any way what caused me to get into this stuff was when I got blown out by a girl I had been seeking for years. Well I finally got her sort of, we were dating for a few months, then she turned cold and broke it off. I was absolutely devastated and crushed and for weeks could barely even break a smile. I even lost my job soon after. I think the depression after loosing her had a lot to do with my inattention toward detail at work. While unemployed and feeling a low point in life, I located an out of print yet very important book in downtown L.A. library, the only copy in the entire state. It was called Shyness and Love and was like 800 pages long of research about the lives of men that had ill fate with women. I coouldn't put the damn thing down and read damn near every waking minute. Only took me like 3 days to read it. It was cathartic and this psychologist who wrote it was someone that understood this life-debilitating situation. The book however didn't offer much in the way of solutions, it just addressed the problem, the possible causes and the consequences. I needed a way out and searched for more material on the internet. I then came across a book by Mike Pilinski. One of the first gurus offering ebook pdfs on the subject of game. Soon after I discovered David DeAngelo who was just getting started with his project and I read his newsletters religiously. It completely turned around my mindset, like someone going through a 12 step program. I felt like he helped me heal my inner game. Yet he was insufficient as well. I needed stuff to help with outer game. Sure, I now knew how not to be needy and demonstrate lower value, but I still didn't have a clue how to walk up to 2 girls at a bar and build attraction from scratch. And to be honest I'm still struggling with that. I'm still dealing with girls who give out flaky numbers and shit. I'm at an age where I don't go out as much as I used to and many of my friends are in relationships or married. During this time of learning game I have been in a few relationships though. After reading about game, in retrospect I can't blame that original girl for breaking it off. I did every fucking thing wrong a guy could do. I deserved it. But what was good is that it forced me to seek answers and I started reading various material.

I'm still not even close to where I want to be, but I've come a long way I feel. I'm most struggling with the building initial attraction and fast attraction. I feel like the only time I have success with girls is only after a long period of time where they get to know me. But I haven't unlocked that key to making girls hot for you from the outset. That's my sticking point.

I would say between 3 or 4 years when i was looking up for some information for a friend. At the time i was naturally good at talking to girls, but the jump between discourse and intercourse was pretty hard for me. Did some reading, and applied it, and started doing pretty well for myself.

There´s a video of me with 7 years old in a birthday party, I´m talking to a girl and brushing her hair and kissing her on the cheek. My nickname in Madrid was el Don Juan Portugues, although I was faithfull all the time. This american girl told me "you know all the mooves" My two older brothers were great players, although now "retired". Well to tell you the truth except for one girl, all the others I´ve dated meaned close to 0. Also I don´t seem to get the girls I want. In general fucked up ones are atracted to me and me to them, architects, marketing, pscylogistsetc. I was asking a friend of mine why I liked them. He answered that normally they are the most interesting. Yep thay are interesting for sure. But starting to cry in the midle of the night without reason, and shit like that are things I don´t want to continue experiencing.

I´ve downloaded and read The Game last month and De Angelo (for respect to Roosh I will only read his books when I buy them). I didn´t liked reading The Game. It´s like when you sart thinking how to walk. De Angelo was different, it mostly aplies to Latinas. Nowadays I´m looking for a girl I truely like being. The problem is that I´m used to sluts and fucked up bitches. I met this girl the other day she was more normal than I´m used to, but I treated her like shit. Did practically everything wrong with her, I knew what I was doing was wrong but kept doing it. This forum is good because it makes you stronger and more alert, but if you read it too much a sense of negativity and skepticalism hits you hard. Mixx, Lumiére, Kona, the G and of course Roosh normally have positive comments, funny that I think they are the best players in here, so this means they know woman well and should be the most skeptical also. I´m doing a diet from information trying to get inspired again from life. Travelling makes me feel good. But in Europe when I visit a different city I feel like I´m repeating myself.
I´m even thinking on starting going to church (although I know the catolich church is one of the most hypocritic institutions on earth) to get a "normal" girl.

I find the dichotomy of game interesting, as it seems to be kind of split between the "naturals" and the "AFCs" that have to study, analyze, and learn game. It's strange at certain points of my life (mostly high school/ first year of college) I was kind of a natural with girls, but at a certain point I got jaded and bitter with girls, as they mostly played games with me and I was an overly-sensitive guy with a great deal of anxiety. This feeling of jadedness led to resentment, and I soon adopted the attitude of an angry guy who was basically like, "forget those dumb bitches, they aren't worth the time." This is probably the worst attitude you can have, as it seeps into your inner game, and infects your whole attitude and aura, and women can sense this from a mile away, and it's a major turn off.

So after a long period of time where I basically swore off women, focused on school, friends, and making $$ in that other "game", I got to the point where I had absolutely no game. It got to the boiling point at the end of last year, where all my friends either had girlfriends or fuck buddies and I was going through the longest dry spell of my life. At a certain point, I was like man, I need to get my shit together, and started to discover the "game community", I knew of the concept of "game", but I never knew there was so much to it, such a "social science" if you will. I started with "The Secrets of the A Game", which is alright, but was lucky to find this site and the great free info. that Roosh gives us, bought and read "Bang", and am half way through Mystery Method. I've found a bunch of good stuff on the internet (Mystery seminars, Cajun interviews, and this great site called mensroom.tv with host Mark Sparks). I haven't been transformed into "Don Juan", but my game has significantly improved in the past 6 months since I got into the "community". I have a long ways to go, but the "force" is growing stronger, and I think a lot of it with this is getting "momentum".

It wouldn't surprise me in the least if these shows like the Pick up artist and keys to the VIP were staged, however has it been PROVEN that they are? That's what I'm wondering.

I've seen interviews with the PUA "Cajun" and Mark Sparks who runs mensroom.tv and both guys claimed it was 100% real, but were both on the show, so who knows what their M.O. is. Also on keys to the vip, there are some girls who have their faces blurred out, which would indicate they didn't consent to being on film. I think it has been proven that the "Pick up artist" was fake though.

I remember snooping around in my roomate's room a year ago and happened upon his copy of the The Game by the toilet on top a pile of Maxim mags. I glanced at a few pages and dismissed it seeing shit like "don't masturbate for x amount of time, blah, blah." Fast forward a year later and I'm googling stuff about Latina women and travelling and I stumbled upon Roosh's site and the next thing you know I was hooked on the blog. The perspective and the observations he had on culture and women abroad and in the u.s. were so refreshing to me while being stuck at my boring ass sedentary cellphone retail job. I was able to make the connections between the things I read in his blog and the what I was doing or had done in my own interactions with females.
I had been unknowingly using some aspects of game at the end of my senior year in college last year; I banged an indo-guyanese chick 4hrs into a non-alcohol, daytime, coffee shop- to-hookah shop date. This was a very rare occurence for me but I now know that I was using some of the things that Roosh and others have emphasized: going for the makeout on the, venue changing and takin it to the crib; all on the first date. So, to be honest, I've only been studying the art itself a 3 months ago. I only wish I started earlier

I am pretty damn sure Keys to the VIP is not fake, in other words: the girls on the show are definitely not actors. That said, of course they edit the show to make it funnier to watch. Like all other tv-shows being produced.
And oh boy, they still broadcast some sets that would scar the contesters for life, just by the pure brutality of the rejection. And then on national television. Ouch.

On the original topic: I've known about all the subculture stuff for nearly 4 years, and have seen some pretty dramatic results. But then again, I am not sure whether to ascribe it to any theories or just to getting past emo-teens.
