High school has always required strong game in my experience, simply because women are in their primes and thus free to exercise their primal desires the most. Maybe it was different 30 years ago, but I wouldn't know.

I know what you're saying, yes you do need game in highschool as well but that's more like athlete/jock type game, but perhaps not sophisticated to the level of negging which this kid would need to use in this case.
