Found a JFK to Montevideo flight for under 400. Going to use the boat to see BA.

It's through copa. I use Hotwire to find dates. The flight I booked was under 400. The pic shows 450 for another flight. I don't know when it ends.

I think its cheap because the weather sucks then. It isn't freezing cold by any means but it isn't that nice out either.

Especially Uruguay, which gets a nice breeze along the the coast line in the summer which you do not get in BA.

Yeh you're not going to get a deal in jan and feb but October looks promising.

Take a cheap ferry or bus from Montevideo to Buenos Aires during that time too. You got yourself a trip son!

How much is the ferry between Montevideo and Buenos Aires? i thought it was like $75 or $100USD.

Its not cheap. the ferry from port to port (montevideo -buenos aires) is about 150 dollars round trip. the other option is going to Colonia and take the ferry there, i Think is 100 dollars round trip( including a bus ride from Montevideo to Colonia).
