Assume that you are a middle aged guy with a protruding gut and you want to approach a lot of women (in their 20s) knowing that it will be a numbers game finding one attracted to you. Which of the following would make the best use of your time?
a) Nightclubs/crowded bars with lots of women to approach.
b) Restaurant bars on weeknights
c) Streets/parks/stores/coffee shops.

My answer is c. Here is why:

a. Wrong - If you have a protruding gut and middle aged, it's kind of embarrassing to be in a nightclub environment. I think the only way a middle aged guy can fit into a nightclub is if he is in excellent physical shape.
b. Wrong - Restaurant Bars - Sometimes have nice women but it is kind of difficult to get a lot of approaches in. If none of the women can overlook your gut and age then you will end up there with your drink. Can't play the numbers game in this environment.
c. Correct - Daygame is probably the best bet because you can get a lot of approaches done in a variety of locations.

Anyone have a different opinion?

Good point Kenny, that is a valid choice. I'll update the options:

Interesting. Now we have two people who think that a man who has a protruding gut should not approach women until they lost the gut. I can see the point. If one has a protruding gut it would make sense to put all available time, focus, energy, and effort into fixing the gut.

Ridiculous, you can only exercise so much. Two hours a day 5 days a week is more than enough and the protruding gut will be gone ion no time, one hour a day is just fine. Just cut out something else from your life that you would do in this one/two hours.

I am assuming that if option a, b, or c is chosen it will include time at the gym. Obviously it is important to get into shape but you won't get into shape as fast as if you spent all available free time in the gym.

So I am assuming that you are changing your answer to c (daygame) with the caveat that enough time is spent in the gym to get into proper shape.

Now we are down to just one person who thinks that approaching should stop and all available time should be spent in the gym.

Go out and hit the pavement, by all means, if you're all fired up. Just know you're handicapped by something easily fixed. You're already trying to convince young girls to date an older man -- conforming to "old guy" negative stereotypes (like having a gut) is just going to drag you down. Maybe she starts extrapolating the gut into saggy wrinkly balls, hair creeping out of every crevice, and an overall old man boring lifestyle.

To summarize my interpretations of the postings, Daygame wins out over Restaurant Bar game and nightclub game for approaching lots of women in their 20s for an overweight middle aged man.

Here are other points that I synthesized from the postings.
1. It is generally believed that the overweight middle aged guy needs to get his ass into shape and that should take at least some priority over approaching women in their 20s.
2. Some believe that it is impossible for the overweight middle aged guy to have any success with women in their 20s so it might not be worth trying.

I would suggest getting rid of the gut first. That is, unless you have a high level of power, fame, fortune, or some combination of all three.

If you're an average middle-aged guy with a big gut, approaching attractive 20-somethings will be an exercise in futility and the damage to your inner game and self confidence will far exceed any benefit derived.

Get in the gym, get your diet sorted and get start getting in shape.

Notice I said START getting in shape. Once you've made some progress toward getting in shape, the tremendous confidence boost will be a jump start, and you can begin approaching once your fitness plan is well underway and has started to show results.

Also, make sure you highlight your new physique with some stylish threads that fit properly.

If you can approach women who may judge you for your looks at a certain venue whilst sporting a gut, it will build your confidence a lot better. Hit on some women closer to your age who will be less judging of you while you learn and get used to routines, questions, stacking, shit tests and closing. And so you have more chance of getting your dick wet.

Then as you lose weight and get in shape and start feeling better about yourself, you will improve your confidence even further and will have got past the beginning stages of game in the time it took you to get in shape.

See a girl you like in the shop? Hit on her. See a girl you like in the mall? Hit on her. See a girl you like at the bar? Hit on her.

Wear some clothes that will disguise the gut. I mean, how big are we talking here?

You can daygame while losing the gut, as I alluded to above. The problem is, unless your game, especially your inner game, is already pretty solid, your return-on-investment for daygaming will be quite low. Daygame is already more inefficient than night game, for the simple fact that girls, even though they might be higher quality with lower bitch shields, are not liquored up and not deliberately looking to meet men. Add to this the possible problem of being very inexperienced in game, and the problem of being physically unattractive due to being out of shape and at least somewhat fat, and you could be looking at 3-400 approaches per notch, or even more than that. That would be pretty punishing on the psyche, I'd think. Hence, although gaming while getting into shape isn't a bad idea in itself, it might be better to just focus first on losing the gut. Paleo diet + intermittent fasting + hitting the gym for some free-weight bodybuilding ought to take care of the appearance problem in a matter of months. It takes discipline but is hardly impossible. After that, you can game wherever and however you want.

The only other realistic option is to find a fishbowl where the ladies are less picky and don't mind out-of-shape middle aged men, which means you better start planning a trip to Thailand or Sub-Saharan Africa. (Famine game!)
