I'm a little drunk in writing this, but I just finished reading your new book tonight.

I don't think you're starting to believe your own hype, I just think that you have evolved...and that's fucking great. Personally, I'm looking forward to what the future has in store for you.

You're not that confused, clueless, socially awkward beta anymore with little to zero knowledge about game. You are not a guy, like myself, who some months ago received their first objective dose of reality by stumbling along some blog in his search for the truth.

You're now a man with several years of experience under his belt, a successful and widely read writer, and one of the utmost authorities of the "manosphere". Who the fuck else can even relate to that?

As far as I'm concerned, that review is questionable. What cities has that guy been too? What limited sample size and time frame is he operating under? I guarantee it's far less representative of your experiences and the collective experiences of the guys on this forum.

But I will say this...the nature of your writing will change, and a consequence of that will probably be a change in the make up of your readership. I would predict that firmly entrenched blue pill males are less likely to lower their barriers with this "new" Roosh. You're on a different level right now. A JV basketball player has a hard time identifying with a NBA baller for obvious reasons. Likewise, a blue pill guy is going to have trouble grasping suit-game, traveling the globe, and the differences in foreign cultures when all he has ever known is his hometown, where the only women he has ever seen are the local she-beasts that have been raised on sugar and entitlement. It's just not practical for some guys, but for those of us who are willing to take that plunge...we are the ones who are going to stick around for awhile.

I got your book and enjoyed the read.

I think others mentioned, you seem to have went off on women pretty quick. I think you already made up your mind before you got home as to what would happened and acted accordingly. It seemed you already had a negative view on what would happen before getting on the plane.

I think the quoted review looked at it differently.

It is hard for people who haven't lived overseas for an extended period to understand what happens when someone returns. There is a culture shock when returning home.

The anti climatic return was exactly the same thing I experienced. Not many people asked about my experiences but talked about their mundane lives that hasn't changed for years. heh

You will lose current readers but that means you are growing as a man. That is something I would be excited about. Besides, how many times can you write DC chicks are fat. You didn't originally get into writing because other people wanted you too. You did it for yourself and you should continue your business and life the same way.

As for the kool-aid comment... sounds haterish to me. I believe you would have had the same experience in DC no matter if you had recognition or not. Just because you have been getting recognized for your work, it automatically makes you pompous and drinking the kool-aid. Lame comment that show jealousy.

It should make you think and keep you grounded. I forget exactly how the story goes but there was a historical king or a caesar who kept someone in his entourage to whisper in his ear during moments of adoration or triumph something along the lines of: "You are nothing special, you are just a man."

I read the book a couple weeks before the launch and if I remember right there was only one, maybe two typos so I'm not sure where that criticism came from.

Things change.

Sometimes you're the hammer and sometimes you're the nail. It's natural that your writing will change as you do.

You've worked hard and had to struggle to get where you are at now. In the process you've inspired a lot of guys like myself to make changes. If you lose some people along the way, so be it.

Sadly, it seems most in America strive for mediocrity; the middle management gig, the 1.7 hour daily-commute, the practical sensible car, the loving spouse, 2.1 kids.

Instead of going out there and taking what they want, most people simply imagine what it would be like to have what they want. No one is hungry, everyone simply wants to be comfortable.

What stops men from breaking out of mediocrity? Fear. The fear that what we're doing is the wrong thing, the fear that what were doing may come back to harm us and others.

What stops women from breaking out of mediocrity? Expectations. Expectations that she deserves everything and anything she wants just because she was born with a vagina, 'Sally has a BMW, makes 90k a year and a hot husband, why don't I have all that!?'

Not all men and women are created equally.

I have tremendous respect for Roosh because he was able to overcome his fear to do the things that few have done before; things that have changed him. We evolve every day, the things we say, the things we do, they're always changing. I can't fault a brother for struggling to find new ways to say the same thing...especially when you consider how much the very nature of his message (game) has changed in the last few years; Game started out as guys in fuzzy hats and mesh shirts...game today is going to the gym, making more money and asking girls where the pet shop is. Roosh has kept on top of this change in the scene better than most, in my opinion.

Bask in the revels and buy the hype, Roosh. Your work has helped men everywhere get more sex from better-looking women, Nobel Peace Prize worthy shit.

It's all earned. This is what a man struggles day and night to achieve, a payoff. Anyone that can't respect that is either a chump stuck in the grind or inherited his means in some way.

Roosh the only question is what you want. If you’re ready to stick with easy pickings (easy because you cracked the code) in EE then no one can take that from you. You still have the option to challenge yourself, I remember for example that you dismiss hi-end clubs as "snobby". Might that be another area where you can keep pushing your comfort zone.

It is worth picking up, however, if you've read any of his memoirs esp "Dead Bat" to see where the journey has ended. It also includes some characteristically amusing anecdotes though they seem laced with bitterness moreso than previous accounts.

Yesterday, before I saw this, I was thinking, "Am I starting to believe my own hype?" I don't expect my readers to be overly critical, but the flood of compliments online and off is gassing me up. Even girls, who don't know of my writing, say crazy shit like I'm "amazing" and "so interesting" and one girl said I was "perfect." Pefect! People here stop me and ask to take a picture with me. How can you not become arrogant in the face of this?

My stories used to be about struggle and hardship and self-discovery and now it's poosy paradise and relatively easy bangs in a bachelor pad with great women in Eastern Europe. I try to stay grounded, but I think my "success" will change the nature of the work I put out. I will probably lose some of you as I become someone different than the guy who put out Bang six years ago. I have no idea where this will go... I'm just riding the wave.

I emailed the guy, “Sorry I didn’t come through,” then I went back to sleep and got up at my normal time of noon.

I wonder if I’ll ever reminisce about these days when I’m filthy rich and hand feeding my perfect assed Brazilian bride chocolates wrapped in gold foil.

Criticism is good. It forces us to re-evaluate our perspective. Even if we don't change our perspective, it is good to take a critical look at ourselves sometimes.

It was an honest review, it was just one persons opinion. Don't take it too serious. Parts of it may be true, parts of it may be false. Just keep working towards your vision. There will always be haters and critics. So what?!?

Roosh to me it sounds like when a band makes it big. When bands struggle, they typically write their best music. Nothing fuels creativity like struggling. And then the band releases some great shit, they get big, and the success kills their struggle, so they write music that's watered down compared to their earlier creative genius.

This is the general stereotype, but not all bands follow it. Good bands reinvent themselves. Tool and Radiohead come to mind. You will always have detractors saying, "Ah, their earlier work was much better." But any good critic is open to new material and listens to it with an open mind, instead of constantly comparing it to earlier work.

Ultimately, I think the goal for any creative type is not to constantly struggle, but to stay relevant and genuine. If you're broke and struggling, make it genuine. If you're prosperous and happy, make it genuine. All humans appreciate honesty more than anything, whether it's negative or positive. I think if you express yourself correctly, people enjoy relating to positive stories just as much as they relate to negative ones.

Some other posters have already brought up these points, so I will keep it short:

The main reason this reviewer got mad is that, unlike previously when your hate was directed at DC & its women, this time you declared that maybe America & its women as a whole suck. That is a tough pill to swallow for a beta still stuck in the Matrix (aka America). When you say that, the reviewer felt like you were criticizing his decision to remain stuck in the Matrix, and so he got offended. I don't think the reviewer would have been satisfied even if you had visited New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago and Las Vegas before you made that decision. He would have just said "Oh, but Roosh only visited big cities. If he had visited second-tier cities, he would have come away with a different opinion. Not all American women are like those in the big cities because blah, blah, blah,..." I've met these dudes. There is no way to open their eyes. Now that you are truly an international playboy there will be people who originally followed your earlier work who can no longer relate. That is part of evolving. No need to feel sorry about that. Just keep telling the truth and don't bullshit yourself, and you will be ok.

Roosh, if I had to make just one criticism of your content it's a tendency to rely heavily on generalizations. The books tend towards being educational and open-minded, full of verifiable ideas that readers are encouraged to explore on their own. Most generalizations (that aren't obvious trolls) seem to be for reader convenience and not meant to be the sort of dogmatic generalizations characteristic of closed minds who have bought into their own hype. But even so, generalizations about cities or countries home to millions of people, especially a diverse country like the US, are always going to seem trite; at least to people who aren't primed to accept generalizations for what they are and not taking them too seriously.

So I guess my point is that while I think the criticism is valid, don't take it too hard. Nothing is perfect, no matter what your groupies say.

But your criticism is itself prone to the same criticism, because all human language must rely on generalizations.

Indeed we can come up with more and more accurate generalizations, but still all human knowledge will forever remain a generalization. It is impossible to describe anything with perfect knowledge.

I think what you meant to say is that Roosh's generalizations are not accurate enough for your liking; please correct me if I am wrong. There is only so much any one man can infer from his experiences, and all men are limited to this flaw.
