Ever had that dream of going back to school as an adult and doing all the things right that you got wrong the first time round,being the cool guy and banging the cheerleaders?

Well I just received an email from a university in the FSU offering me a place on their year long Russian language programme beginning in September. I intend to accept. By that time I will be almost 40.

I'd like some in put from you guys about how would you play it specifically. If you had your time again what would you do different in terms of chasing skirt at uni? How would you turn being much older than everyone else into a positive? Is there a taboo on gaming staff members? Should I run suit game on campus? Would you go into the university hostel or would you rent your own place ( or even stay with a host family for that matter )? etc.etc.

Also if anyone here has studied at an FSU university then feel free to chip in with some knowledge about campus life on and off-campus.

Let's hear some feedback from you cats.

I took time off from school and went back as an older guy. Not as old as we are now, mind you. I had quite a few girls liking me because I was more mature and had lived in a few other places.

You should be able to build up a nice social circle going back to school. I don't think suit game would be good, just a cool guy that has seen the world should get you laid.

Definitely get your own place. Not only good for girls, but as hangout central since most kids are living with their parents.

I am actually thinking of doing the same thing for learning Russian.

Great subject as I take courses at night at the local university and study there on weekends.

I think your situation is a bit different seeing you are going to be a foreigner, i can only imagine the amount of girls that will be curious as to why you are there and what you are taking. I am sure it will not take long for you to find a "study" partner to improve your russian language skills.

I would dress decent but no need for suit game, stylish clothes which I am sure you have covered. You might want to get another pair of those prada shoes

1. Find the age disparity in that country. Setting up a couple online profiles might dial you in, but I'm sure members here would know from experience.

2. Dress younger, let your hair out, and be prepared to lie about your age if necessary. Unless you are looking for ltr's.

3. Act younger and more playful. Find out what kind of shit the college girls are into, especially into, and learn it so you'll have something to connect with at their level.

I'd assume the disparity is probably 10 years, so you may have a slightly tougher time. Also don't discount the poorer girls in town that can't afford the uni. They may put out quicker seeing you as a potential provider.

I am almost 40. I game on college campuses everyday.

It's very simple. It's really no different then being 20 years old.

The formula is the same..

Talk to girls
Make connections
Build a social circle
Talk to girls

Take them on dates

Repeat

Didn't know that you were doing that rudebwoy, gives me confidence to hit the books. Probably a few of us older dudes who messed about in our youth and are finally getting round to getting some skills behind us in our middle years.

Start taking amino collagens too. It'll help you look younger. MikeCF has a lot out there about turning back the clock a bit. I'm in my mid-30's, and know the feeling about getting older. Girls do like older guys, but you have to look and feel the part. Being stylish and in shape are big factors. Being foreign will give you an edge if you play it right. I'd go full blown rockstar with the attitude to boot. Create the bubble and make them come to you.

Awesome man. I vote against going the host-family route. Might help with your language practice, but in my experience host families are not on board with bringing home girls (nor are the girls). My experience is in Latin countries though, could be totally different.

Yes that was what I was getting at, what attitude I should employ at University,should I play it different than how I usually do etc. Should I be the 'party' guy or the cool urbane foreign dude.

I do better with young'ens than I do girls my own age most of the time. I have still not analysed quite why that it but it is a definite pattern in my relationships. I'm hoping in the country I will move to that it will be the same.

I was very successful in college so I can't say I would do anything different. My success was based on fame.

If I went back, I would make damn sure that I had some fame. Start a band, be a DJ, be a bartender, something like that.

It depends on your personality. I'd dress the part but tone down the attitude during the day. Then plan on throw some light parties at your pad, then turn it up a few notches. And Gio is right, stay where the students live, but you need your own place. If you have extra quid, deck the place with cool stuff, mostly foreign. It'll add to your mystery. Think of it like setting up a movie stage.

I'd lose my fucking mind living at an FSU campus for a year.

Both.

Adjust your attitude depending on the situation and the girls you are talking to.

You can be the party guy on the weekend and the cool, urbane guy during the week.

You won't know how to behave until you get there. Then, you can adjust and fine tune.

This is what I would do.

I would start a cover band that plays popular American songs in bars and clubs. I would also have a big presence on social media so all the college girls could see pictures and videos of me in action.

Having done biz meetings in Moscow with the under 30 nephews by blood and marriage of a true Oligarch that they work for and with and who interestingly helps them build their own onshore/offshore businesses I have some interesting thoughts to share.

Look like a Russian - Have a black leather coat and blue collared shirts black Russian fashionable (pointy) euro shoes black slacks and carry US Cigarettes even if you do not smoke - offer cigarettes as they all smoke like chimneys - get used to it. I choked on cigs all over Moscow - the servers all bring you a fresh tray by stacking the old not to spread ashes and leaving a new. When I finally smoked a cigar it put them at ease. When in Rome etc.

Whatever you do avoid the Rick Steves Eurpoe cheap traveller dockers and golf shirts look - they hate Dockers there - black slacks and black jeans work fine. Never make any comments comparing USA to Russia - they will be defensive and it will create and unchill vibe. Russian women have a fine tuned intuition and will sort the shady slick types from the real biznyessmen interested in real exim or services opps in about one half of one nanosecond.

The ones who really like you will be more frugal with your money than you and negotiate out Bullshit (overpriced cabs food meals shopping events etc) automatically without you even noticing. 2nd the DO NOT DRIVE theme. My dad got jammed up by militizia in moscow. He had a chaffeur. They were stopping every car on the way out from the restaurant, and checking them. He had an American passport, but speaks fluent Russian. Cop- Listen, I can hold you up at the station for 3-4 hours, or we can work something out... Dad- hands over 1k rubles. If he was driving this woulda easily been 5k roubles.

As for a man of action- yes, sober- relatively, sharing women- big no no at least in public. Everybody talks and the social circles are tiny. Keep it discreet.

As a person doing business, Russians expect you to drink. If you dont drink and can't keep composure, you will get no TRUST. Best start training your liver....

Obviously, I'm not anywhere near middle aged yet, but I will be returning to university full time in September as a 27 yr old.

I'm looking forward to it.

A lot of guys wish they knew what they do now back when they were in university. In my case, I've dragged out graduating for so long, that I actually get to know what I know now, while still legitimately being an undergraduate student.

I had a comparatively boring freshman year. Sophomore year barely ranked as well. But by my junior year, I was starting to head in the right direction. My senior year (two semesters, divided by a year away in China) was reasonably awesome. Its in the last two years that I've finally had a glimpse of my true potential in pickup and life and I'm so looking forward to going back to school again.

The second semester of my senior year, I got more attention from women than ever before. Girls offering to make out with me at parties (without me intentionally gaming them). Girls finding me on Facebook and sending me their number without any effort on my part.

Unfortunately, I was in a long distance relationship this time and couldn't follow up any of these opportunities.

So, needless to say, with two more years of game development under my belt from the past two years since I was a university student, I am so looking forward to taking another run at this.

Fun fact: I wore suits every day during my last semester. I wouldn't say that I was running suit game, but it did help me stand out in a helpful sort of way. It did garner me a certain level of respect from some people. One guest speaker in a class thought that I was a teaching assistant. Girls were always super curious as to what my deal was, although not in a bad way. Simple peacocking principle. It opens the door to the initial interaction.
