I think it's not the jeans but the attitude you have while wearing them that helps you. Same with my leather jacket - I feel awesome wearing it and consequently get laid more.

I have gone through the same problem as you have and have even tried all the brands you mentioned above, so I seriously recommend you going for a higher end jeans(Diesel, Rock and Republic, 7, Joes, Citizens of Humanity, True Religion etc). There is real value for money, and the jeans would look as good as new for atleast 2 years, a lot longer if you take proper care.

I saw some real good deals on jeans at MBK mall in BKK, around $30-35 USD for Diesel and true Religion, not sure if they're real or not but may pick up a few pairs. No doubt the Diesels are in style now, but haven't True Religion gone the way of Ed Hardy and Affliction tees?

To prevent crotch blowouts try soaking/washing your pants more regularly since the dirt and grime weakens the fabric or have your tailor sew in reinforcements in the crotch area, should be about 10 bucks or so. I've heard of this stuff working for crotch blowouts as well, but never used it myself.

   

True Religion is definitely the jeans version of Ed Hardy and Affliction being way over-styled on the back pockets with ugly designs.

I've had articles of clothing that get me laid. I've also noticed the trend doesn't last forever. Something will get me mad attention for 6 months and then no more.

I just got 2 pairs of sick Joe's Jeans and some shirts too. The black ones are some sort of composite leather/denim. I've gotten comments almost every night I wear them out. Slubu's slut harem even made a comment about me recently when I was wearing all Joe's...

I had a Diesel phase some time ago, in fact right when I was just getting started with putting my fashion together. Gone through several phases...Diesel, 7s, good ol' Levi slim fit. Now it's Joe's and William Rast.

I'm finding it's best to wear shit that fits well but also attracts just the right amount of attention.

This t-shirt has gotten me laid several times:


That shirt is made by Plain Gravy, which looks like a short-lived clothing line that came out in '08 or so. Their other stuff looks sick if you go for an urban look.

I have always worn quality cut/fitted clothing. When you wear trendy name labels, it matters.

Fashion is ridiculous, but wear whatever works. If being a D-bag works, be a D-bag with sunglasses in a club. If being a hipster works, wear bullshit hipster clothing (note in general that does not really work for cute girls).

End of the day people can say "real men wear XYZ" but that's just nonsense. Real men only care about results.

I am sure the G is going to get pissed when he reads this, but if wearing glitter on my shirt works 10 years from now, i sure don't give a shit i'll wear glitter instead of spending a bunch of money on other ways to gain access.

Find the fashion trends, ride the wave and switch the trends depending on where you are.

Note when you're young you can get away with much more flashy stuff, then as you age you have to be more congruent. IE: a 40 year old walking around in hot pink pants is sure not cool.

I do not agree with this.
If you are just talking about fashion, then I might understand.
(eg: some pople spend $$$ on wheels. it works the same and looks similar to cheaper ones. it's for self-indulgence)

I honestly can't understand why they are a lot more expensive than regular jeans.
(one fact is they make it in U.S. They pay the manufacturer about $50. Wholesale is about $120)
I bought this Rock and republic jeans. I felt it was softer, lighter and fit better.
It was only because they used thinner and weaker fabric.
I folded it at the bottom and those folded lines were becoming holes.
I didn't do any household jobs with those jeans on but I saw the hole coming out from knees.
just plain sweat pants would've lasted longer than this pants.

I pay attention to the fashion a lot but I never felt a need for premium jeans.
I can see the different 'lines' from hugo boss jacket Vs Express jacket, 50/50 polyester wool pants Vs 100% wool pants. But I can't see the difference between $80 jeans Vs $200 jeans.

IMO, it will go against the fashion if they try to craft it in a fine manner.

Can you imagine a jean with fine silk like material, sewn like a dress pants, no wrinkles at all???

Jeans are Jeans. you can make it premium to only a certain degree.

Smart women notice the style not the tags.

I like to keep it casual. Put on my slightly worn out Levis 501 and a plain white T, preferably slim fit, maybe a v-neck. Some decent shoes, no high-value stuff. On a cold day, I may throw on a vintage leather jacket, no fancy stuff. Because I know I can score with no more, I always feel psyched and confident rocking that look. Plus, I wont appear as a try-hard kinda guy.
