He has a point. Keto isn't horrible but analyzing every single thing isn't needed either. Like I said, if you wanna lose weight just count your macronutrients via a website like myfitnesspal so you can eat whatever you want and not be limited to certain foods.

I like this ketostix thing. If I understand correctly, you MUST Be losing lard if that stick turns the right color.
You could have oscillation of water weight but as long as you're not also losing muscle you're golden.

That's way more complicated than simply following a low carb paleo diet.
And obviously ketosis isn't horrible, that's a ridiculous assertion which he didn't even attempt to back up.

I don't know anything about calories but I do know if you drop the carbs you lose weight fast.

That spaghetti squash can double up as hash browns. Just save some and fry it up with butter salt and pepper it has the same texture once it's covered in egg yolk you won't notice.

Loosing that water weight is key as you won't get into any real fat burning once that is out of the way. I personally prefer fasting as you get more fat burning out of it compared to trying to yo-yo calories and cardio daily.

I still think your food levels are to low. If your not getting an adequate amount of calories/nutrients daily your body will actually just simply hold onto to its water weight. You will burn it of more slowly and delay that critical fat burning. This is the trap a lot of women go through in which they stress the body by just eating rice cakes all day and achieve extremely slow fat loss because of it.

Having a gut is simply just excess fat but also know that your gut will be the last to go. Getting a big gut down to regular levels will mean you gotta be below 22% body fat (if your got some good muscle on you, lower if not).

When I diet I would get 1500-1650 calories. I was below my body's baseline of 1700 so it was ideal for me. Fasting 16 hours per day and the weight was falling off after about the 3-4 week mark. I would day for your goals being realistic it can be done 2 months. Of course you can drop the weight quicker but its gets more dodgy and sketch the shorter you make that window.

The poster whom recommended Myfitnesspal is right on. Use that App track a decent amount of calories for you to take in daily. 1200-1500 would be idea.

You can also find your exact RMR (Resting Metabolic Rate) through a doctor/sports science facility and get a more accurate number of calories to meet the goal. Mine cost like $80.

I was told that you actually want to eat at least as many calories as your RMR to avoid your body going into "starvation" mode and your body down regulating its metabolism.

I don`t really see the reason why you would lift weights with that diet! You have FAR too little proteins in it.

Add chickenbreast/salmon and veggies for dinner, and a shake an hour before you go to bed. The fruit you can throught the day along with the nuts. Also, dont forget to drink water.

My shakes are like this:
Neutral whey-80 protein (1,5-2g per kilo you weigh, neutral bc I hate artifical sweeteners)
Half a banana
One spoon of oat
Non fat milk

Shake it!

Well if you drop carbs you automatically drop calories, thats why. It's also much easier to just cut carbs out of your diet instead of fat. And besides, carbohydrates aren't essential anyway unlike fats + protein.

my mainstream, hip young medical doctor told me lo-carb is OK, and that his patients had had good luck with it when my blood pressure was high and I needed to lose weight.

Snort two 8 balls of Beekers and drink a bottle of whisky every night. You'll lose weight fast.

I call this "cracktosis".

You lose a lot of water weight when you first ditch the carbs.

the diet is easy for people to follow though cause they can still make tasty food. i.e. chicken breasts with cheese on top which is something I enjoy. Others seem to go all out on bacon, sausages etc.

exactly, people just assume that once you drop carbs that theyl drop weight,of course theyl drop weight because your cutting calories.

everybody loves keto on this board.its crazy.ive tried it and of course it works but i felt terrible (ive competed) so i know what im talking about.carbs are WAY more beneficial than fats.of course in nature they are not essential but for muscle growth, energy and metabolism they blow fats out of the water.

ever try reverse dieting? i used to be "afraid" of carbs thinking they would make me fat,i made all the wrong mistakes of not eating enough,my metabolism was sluggish.I was eating barely any calories and doing tons of cardio for minimal weight loss.my metabolism was damaged.i got lean very slowly.reverse dieting is adding (eg 10g) carbs to your macros every week so you dont gain weight.

FIRST: COUNT AND KNOW YOUR MACROS: eg about 10 weeks ago i was coming off a mini cut,so my appetite was high but my metabolism was slow due to being in a kcal deficit for so long

my macros at the end of my cut where 220p 170g carbs and 50fats.

i added 10-15g carbs every week slowly to let the metabolism adjust over time.im now MAINTAINING my weight on 450g carbs A DAY.also my allowance for fats have gone up.THIS IS HOW YOU GET LEAN AND STAY LEAN.im a natural endomorph.so there you are.also i eat candy ice cream and pizza because they fit my macros.iifym bitches.look it up.

It's not bad. I cover it with parm cheese anyway. The thing is when you're doing this anything different is exciting. I have a link to post here tomorrow that breaks it down.

I should also add I got some Ketone Test Strips for Urinalysis a while ago, when I did a low carb diet for a month, damn strip never changed colors.

This sounds stupid but I am doing the test right? Just piss on it for a few seconds and wait 10-15 seconds to see if it changes color

El Mech, question:

Have you ever told a girl, "Look b*tch, I am in Ketosis!"

How did it go over?

Easy close?

Second question:

Do you attribute your success with women more to "Boat Game" or "Ketosis Game"?

1200 calories is the amount of calories female figure competitors consume at the end of their prep. A grown ass man should be eating much more than 1200 calories. Start at 2500 and go down from there. You will ruin your metabolism if you go with 1200, guaranteed.

Well it mellows me out a bit so no I haven't been talking as much shit as usual this ketone season. Nobody around here understands any of this shit. I'm pretty much the smartest person on Floridas west coast. The only diet talk you'll find here is whether or not Subway is the healthiest place to eat in the world.

They run together. You have to have abs of some sort to run proper boat game. It's like this, when you run around all summer with no shirt on women decide if they're going to hop on the boat in one second.
