What's Al Pacino been doing lately?
He's been doing one lucky lady from Buenos Aires, 40 years his junior:

This is how you roll @72.

RE: What Al Pacino's been doing lately?
On a related note, the guy is always smiling, always laughing, very friendly to his costars, fans, even paps. None of that sad/serious/depressed (out)look often associated with advancing age (especially with people involved in such vanity profession).

His secret of "keeping young?"

"Keep 'er quiet."

Did I hear that right? Did he say that? Wow, if he did!

Props to him.

The GrandFather.

He's doing the Phil Spector thing on HBO I think. Mamet's involved so it might be good.

What is the point of an autograph? I never really understood that.

It "certifies" to mere mortals that the "celebrity x wuz here".

But those fucktards nowadays are volume pros. selling it on eBay to 50-y.o. obese star-struck housewives from North Dakota who've seen LA and NYC only on tv.

Honestly, in recent few years Pacino's best work has been made-for-cable movies. He played Jack Kevorkian in "You Don't Know Jack," and won the Golden Globe, Emmy and SAG awards. I definitely expect him to do a great job with Phil Spector, and I'm definitely a fan of Mamet projects. Al also loves the stage, so he does plays when he can.

RE: What's Al Pacino been doing lately?
Al Pacino is my favourite actor. And David Mamet is my favourite writer. And the film they last made together (Glengarry Glen Ross) is my all time favourite film (although somebody else directed it).

So I am looking forward to this new project. Particularly since Phil Spector is an interesting guy. And since I feel he was probably innocent of the crime. So the film may bring to light an injustice.

Just a shame I saw some bad reviews on Slate.com (an ultra liberal site). Still - I never really pay attention to reviews. Since most of the time the reviewer is trying to be clever as opposed to giving an honest apprasial of how the average guy will enjoy the product.

Still - this would be a missed opportunity if they mess this up.

Good for him. He's never come across as particularly happy or together, though.

Dr Johnson rumbles with the RawGod. And lives to regret it.

I dunno' - he is a bit screwed up in the roles he plays (but that is just a performance). But off camera he always seems to be happy and joking.

Hard to say really either way.

In James Dupri's autobiography, he mentioned meeting Al at the Four Seasons in LA, saying it was kind of awkward.

He did Glengary Glenn Ross on Broadway a few months back.

You want to know the only thing you can assume about a broken down old man? It's that he's a survivor.
