The problem is let's say for example your are gaming up some girl in Texas, and you want to grab some wine or beer before you hit your apartment. I mean you SHOULD always have some stuff up in your apartment anyway, but a few times that I havent in NYC, I just hit up a store and bought some. In Texas you are shit out of luck. On our 3rd night in Padre we were just so wasted that we forgot to reload, and we invited some people to our room with only 2 beers left in the fridge.

Also no liquor on sundays is wack, Sunday's are oftentimes the biggest party nights in NYC.

Don't get me wrong, I REALLY, REALLY, like Texas. I want to hit up Dallas and Houston soon, but I need to call it as I see it. When I am in Dallas I will need to stock up beer and liquor in my hotel every morning just incase the party continues past 2am.

2am is a wack closing time for bars, I've drank past 2am in NY and gone straight to work the next morning a million times.

You are giving heroin to a heroin addict.

I have been an outspoken critic of party laws for ages.

What is open in US 24 hours? I think Vegas, Atlantic City, and New Orleans?

You can buy alcohol until 1AM on Saturday (at least in Austin).
You can buy beer after 12PM on a Sunday (at least in Austin).

A little planning is all that's required. I usually bust out of downtown by 1:30 anyway, to avoid competing with the masses for a cab. Even with a few cab drivers in your phone, it's still a PITA. Bypass all these problems by bouncing a bit early. I also have substantially better luck bringing girls back to my spot before closing time.

If you're a decent looking guy who isn't a creep, Austin is a playground. Just have a personality and talk to women. Logistics are the only thing I really think about these days.

Austin also requires a bit of knowledge of the general districts downtown. I avoid the part of 6th everyone talks about like the plague, unless I have a friend in town who wants to experience it once. Much better areas for swooping and chilling in general.

Yeah, I had no idea where to go so I went straight to 6th street. I liked the college area by the stadium, that seemed pretty cool, and those office buildings are insane looking.

That's awesome you already got your Texas flag (lol) after only being there such a short time. Congrats!

I am actually a native Texan so I've got tons of Texas flags already, but I still need to get my New York one one day!! But seriously, if you ever want to know all the 'REAL' spots in Texas to pull chicks super fast and on the fly, hit me up. I know it all like the back of my hand... I've easily got to be the resident expert on this one.

By the way, if you had to choose, I would say forget about Houston (the city)... Dallas and Austin is definitely where it's at. By the way, I WISH I woulda known you were going to be in SA, I could have told you are the secret spots that are covered in chicks night in and night out! You kinda have to be a 'local' to know them about them because they aren't always obvious. And always always always prioritize a big texas country music concert (josh abbott or god forbid Eli Young) over ANY bar (this is something only a true texan knows). Those places have hot girls on TAP (seriously).

In all honesty, you have a better chance taking a girl home from a place like Wild West Waco, or the Stockyards in Fort Worth than you would some of the places you were going. In Texas, its about avoiding the places where girls go out just to 'go out', and going where they go out to actually get laid.

@Mercutio Thanks for the info, I am definately going to visit Texas again. If I hit Dallas I will probably try to visit during football season and catch a game.

Austin gets a lot of heat due to a high hipster population and rightfully so. If you're looking for some good areas to hit there, try West 6th and The Warehouse District.

Can you be more specific?

Name some names?

Names of bars? There are tons down there to choose from.

If you're into 20-something ex-sorority chicks, check out The Ranch.
If you're into homely regular chicks, try Opal Divine's.
If you're looking for a good view, try the rooftop of 219 West.

Those are all West 6th bars.

Now for Warehouse District

Qua is a solid choice with sharks under the floor and bottle service.
Fado's is a decent Irish pub that I've had success at in the past.

Diet question
What was your diet? Your physique is impressive for any age, but for over 30 is amazing (no homo).

I'm lifting weights based around short rest intervals and squats, the insanity workout, did South Beach, and intermittently fast and while I like the results, they are no where near that.

TheCaptainPower, you dont talk much about swooping in Austin, can you give some more details on your experience. Quality of women, etc. Would you go to austin again during ACL if you had the chance?

Currently debating on Austin
