Former tennis star Jennifer Capriati has been charged after police said she punched her ex-boyfriend on Valentine's Day while he was working out at a gym.

Palm Beach County court records show Capriati was charged by prosecutors Wednesday. She has been issued a summons to appear before a judge April 17 on stalking and battery charges, though she has not been arrested. No attorney for Capriati was listed.

North Palm Beach police say Ivan Brannan was working out when the 36-year-old Capriati approached him and yelled at him. Brannan told police that he tried to get away by walking to the men's locker room, but Capriati blocked his path and punched him in the chest.

Brannan told police he and Capriati broke up in 2012 and that she has harassed and stalked him since then.

I think its important to do this on twitter and via email whenever something positive like this occurs to encourage similar decisions in the future.

We need to overwhelm the hateposts some companies will get for making decisions like this with our own positive ones. Otherwise, it may discourage similar decisions in the future or some companies may redact their decisions. Support will foster an environment where companies aren't afraid to do the right thing.

The whole tech space/Silicon Valley scene is proof of something I'd long suspected: the more beta the men, the more despicable and entitled women get. A woman like Adria Richards would get laughed out of town in the cool circles in NYC, Miami or LA.

It's like frame control on a mass, societal scale. The men there keep ceding ground on what's considered 'sexist,' to the point where this happens - a dude makes a dick joke and a chick goes apeshit over it. The firing of that CUNT made my day big time! I've signed both petitions to get the guy reinstated and the CUNT fired. I also sent a raw email to the owner of the company who fired him with a few choice words!

I'm not surprised that women are more likely to defend men acting alpha than beta men. Beta men (white knights, manginas, whatever) don't want anyone acting alpha; they know the alphas are pulling ass while they are not so they react to alpha behavior with jealously and hostility.
