RE: Bang Osaka
Here's something I haven't tried because I just can't be bothered, but if you're already putting in that kind of time to go out and game, then this will almost certainly work.

Put on your most touristy clothes you can find. Sandals, shorts, t-shirt, etc. Stuff a backpack and put that on too. Put some touristy stuff in it like an Osaka guidebook, a bit of clothes, a couple of maps, a J-E dictionary, etc.

Then go out to the Osaka Loop Line and buy a ticket. You can ride around and around all day long for something like $1. Get off at random stations, take out your map and dictionary and look lost. Ask random cuties where such-and-such a station is. Now since it's a loop line, the farthest that any girl is going to go is half-way - otherwise, she would've gone to the opposite platform. So always ask where the station that is half-way plus one or two stops in the direction you're going. If she tells you that it's shorter to go the other way around, just say this is fine since it's only an extra stop or two and it's not worth the trouble of going down the stairs and back up and waiting for the opposite train.

Start small talk with her. If she's interested in talking she may even be the one to start and ask you where you're from, etc. When the train arrives, get on and stand or sit with her and keep talking. Don't worry about whether or not she looks interested. Some girls are shy. Find out which station she's getting off at so you can pace your conversation and know when to strike for digits. Talk about yourself, ask her about herself, etc. This is important. Just act like you're friendly! Do NOT come across like you are picking her up! You're just a friendly gaijin, new in town and don't know the stations. One station before she gets off, ask her for her email and/or number.

After she gets off, you can then talk to other girls on the train in the same fashion, or you can get off at the next stop, rinse and repeat. You can do this all day long for only $1 or 2. Your only investment is time.

Don't speak Japanese unless you absolutely have to in order to communicate. Appear friendly and smile a lot. Avoid coming across like you want to get laid (that will come later at a more appropriate time). When you do follow up, engage her in conversation before suggesting a meet. If you have an apartment you can bring her back to, then you can brag about your cooking prowess, or perhaps something else you have at home that she might get excited about. If you don't have anything, go to the 100 yen shop and buy a couple of small cheap canvases and some paint and splash that shit on like a 5-yr-old child. That's what a lot of art looks like anyway and unless you've found yourself an art lover, you can just talk about how the squiggles mean this and that. The point is that you want to hang out a carrot for her to get excited about and get her wanting to go to your place long before you ever invite her.

Go out on two dates with her after meeting. If she agrees to meet you for a 2nd date, she's interested. Unless you blew it, she'll be interested in a third too. At the end of date 2, tell her you'd love to cook a great meal (cuz you're such an awesome cook that restaurants can't compare) for her. Or you would love to show her your art. Or your DVD collection and there's a movie you haven't seen yet that you'd like to watch with her - a new release of course (I used this one a lot way back when and it worked well). Whatever your pretense, you should have one that gives her the ASD she needs. Once she's at your place, it's game over. Most girls understand that it's basically implicit permission to bang. Like I mentioned before, some girls might need you to ask them to be your gf first. If you encounter significant resistance, throw that out and carry on. As long as you're not holding them down, they have the option to leave and if they don't leave, they're just putting up a front. This is common in Japan. I can't count how many girls have brushed my hand off their leg or pulled back from a kiss or whatever, but it's all just a show. Don't get upset and don't try to talk it out. Just take a breather and go back at it. A very small number of girls will go to your place even if they're not willing to bang. They are socially clueless. If your test kino seems to be working, you could try to speed it up a bit, but don't rush it and get too aggressive on the first meet or the first date unless you love masturbating. Most girls won't bang on date one and recoil at too much touch right off the bat.

Betcha any money if you follow this recipe, you'll have more girls than you can handle.

In a nutshell:

1) Just be friendly when meeting (doesn't necessarily apply to bars)
2) Chit chat and give her a reason to keep talking to you
3) Use that reason to get her number
4) Don't expect to get laid until date 3 - however be observant for signs that she's ready before that. If you're not sure, then wait. You will lose more girls by pushing too hard than not
5) Give a pretense to get her to your place (you may have to kokuhaku if she shows resistance to your invitation, or you may have to kokuhaku after she goes over if she shows resistance to romance)
6) Bang
7) Be disappointed with how lousy the lay was and be internally conflicted because despite the lousy lay (closed eyes, little movement and generally just floppy without much apparent enthusiasm even though she's wet as the ocean and squealing like a stuck pig with a squeeze toy up its ass), she probably had a nice, thin body, was fairly cute, was willing to do just about anything you wanted, and had a pussy that fit like a driving glove
8) Repeat steps 1 through 7 until you reach the point where you're so tired of their inane conversations, lack of individual thought or insightful opinions, and lackluster banging that you actually start to fantasize about going back to North America and getting a North American woman (if only they weren't all so damn fat!)
9) Realize that a North American chick has a different set of problems that is just as off-putting and then start thinking about what the next country you're going to is

It's possible that steps 8 and 9 just apply to me. LOL

First of all, thanks to everyone for their insight and advice. It has been very helpful and very supportive.

4 approaches
3 indirect: 2 numbers > 1 insta-date
1 direct: 0 numbers

Decided to go with Memcpy's advice and hit the bookstores, found both the English book section and the dictionary/foreign language teaching section, where I hung around for a bit. Not too much traffick here. Got a message that I didn't quite understand from a friend while there. Walked up to a girl I saw and asked "すみません、英語できる?” (Sorry, do you speak English?)
Shakes her head, but I ask her if she could explain the meaning of the text to me. She does know how. I ask where I can find a larger bookstore, since I'm looking for English novels, but there aren't that many here. She points to where I should find one. I try to small talk, but she doesn't seem interested based on body language and all. I lose interest and say goodbye. Can't count this as an approach, since I didn't close and didn't get rejected.

The English-Speaker...
Walking down Shinsaibashi-Suji, I ask a short, average-looking girl walking behind me if she speaks English (英語できますか)? This seems to have grown into a standard opener, both with direct and indirect approaches. She says yes, and I ask her where I can find a nearby bookstore. She goes quite out of her way to help me, after which we chat for a while. She alternates between English and Japanese while speaking to me. Seems she lived in New Zealand for a year and works an office job at an Eikaiwa. She says she's already late meeting her sister, so I ask for her number. She gives me a look like "Oh really, so it's like that?" and we exchange numbers. I suggest we should meet up sometime. ”うん, OK.” she says. Shortly thereafter, we part ways.

She'd pointed me towards the bookstore in the basement of a shopping mall. There, I only see guys and old ladies, it's a small place with little traffick. I spend about 20 minutes reading through a simple Korean language book for Japanese learning Korean (I can read hangeul, but I can't speak the language for shit, and with all the Korean tourists and students you find in Japan, it can only be helpful. Hell, just being able to read Hangeul and say a couple terms in Korean usually made a lot of women form Korea open up to me). After reading through the book, I decide to leave.

The Law Student...
Crossing the street, I spt a very pretty, but not hot girl with glasses walking past me. I probably should have put the time into coming up with a good opener, but I just went direct again, something which I probably should do less. I did this in English, to which her first response was "Ah-hah, nampa."
"ナンパ?” I say, feigning ignorance, "これは日本に「ナンパ」と言う?”
We chat for about five minutes, she asks me a bit about myself, blablabla, says "(no), sorry" when I try to go for a number.

I head back to the bookstore at SSB-Suji. Pretty much dead here, but I decide to wait it out for about 30 minutes. A girl walks behind me and briefly gazes over the 海外ガイド/Overseas (travel) guide section. As she begins to turn around, I lightly touch her shoulder, "asking if I can find a larger bookstore nearby" She looks over, but turns her head and begins walking on as I'm talking. I repeat the words, this time a bit louder. She turns around and listens, tries to help out, I chat a bit, but she's not much up for that. Suggests a place in Amemura (I am actually looking for a place with a bigger foreign language section, not just asking for the sake of talking to her, mind you). She's not sure where it is, so she walks me over to the cash register and asks the staff, who prints out a map for me. She excuses herself and leaves. Didn't close, didn't really get rejected. No approach.

The Make-Up Artist...
On my way to the place in Amemura, I ask a pretty girl walking beside me where the place is. She walks me to the place, during which we chat for a while and linger outside the bookstore. Some of her friends pass by who are going into a nearby restaurant. I chat with them for a few minutes, when they leave I ask her if she has Facebook (figuring it may come across as more harmless than a number). She says something that sounds like she doesn't use it often, but I'm not sure. I ask for her email address. She blushes and does that Japanese gesture where they want to say, no but are too polite to do so, so they just pause, and you know they're saying no anyway. She asks for my name and says she'll add me. She won't.

Chat with another girl in front of Big Step. When her friends arrive (the guy is a cross between a stoner and hipster, while the girl is standard average looking Japanese), chat with them for about five minutes. They seem surprised that I speak Japanese.

The Highschool Student...
Walking toward the bridge at the Dotomburi River, I pass a very hot girl. I think, nah...insta-blowout, pointless. Then the little Sargon on the opposite shoulder says "Go for it, and stop being a little bitch!"

I walk up to her, asking "すみません、英語できる?(Scuse me, you speak English?)"
I'm expecting her to walk on and ignore. Surprisingly, she stops, looks at me, and says ”うん、できない”
Off the top of my head, I just ask if there's a Starbucks nearby. She points me in the direction of the SB at Hikkakebashi. I start smalltalking. She's an 18 year old highschool student, coincidentally from the same highschool next to the dorm where I live. Very pretty and very tall for a Japanese girl (169cm). We chat on the bridge for several minutes, she seems very receptive. Lots of joking around, smiling. I ask for her number, she punches it in immediately. More chatting, more smalltalk. I ask her if she'd like to join me at Starbucks. ”うん” she says, 〝行こう。(let's go)”

We sit at the second floor for maybe 15-20 minutes, chatting. She definitely seems into me, more so than the other girls I've encountered recently. Stares deeply into my eyes, smiles a lot, generally seems very comfortable around me. I ask mid conversation what she's doing this Friday. Nothing. We set a date. I suggest a time and place, she writes it down on her calendar. We chill and talk some more before leaving. I walk her to her bike before before heading towards the subway station.

Looks like I might have a good shot with this one. If any of the current prospects I have in my phone right now are to end in a lay, she seems like the most likely candidate. Let's hope I'm right.

So far that makes...

222 approaches, 51 numbers, 12 dates, 2 bangs...

I'll try to see if I can gather more data on bookstores and shops, to see if there's any difference.

More info coming soon...

You're right about this. This is especially the case when I go direct. Indirectness doesn't seem to have quite as much of a nampa feel, and I usually try to make my indirect approaches come across as innocent smalltalk, only going for the number near the end. Admittedly, it is something I have to work on.

Quote:You might have developed a approach/conversation style that you repeatedly use on all these girls, like a machine, and to be honest, it does not seem to work. This needs to be changed.

True again. I have noticed my approaches are coming across more as routine. However, generally, the conversations are very engaging and the women initially seem to respond well to it (when I'm indirect).

Quote:Do more night game, look for girls that are in party mode, half drunk, go from there, but not too hard. Try to be funny, do not come out as your goal is number close or bang, wait with number close to absolutely last minute, or bail out if you see this will lead nowhere. Of course this is where you can also pull ONS, but only when you least expect it! You need to change your minsdset about the ONS thing, girls read it.

I started out by doing more night game than I do now. So far I've approached 111 women in clubs, with 1 bang and about 6 other makeouts. I might want to explore some other venues, though, and I'm considering checking out These "Why Not?" parties, to see if they're worth anything.

Quote:Select your approach targets better, you seem to approach anything that you see, anywhere! Better filtration, possibly better results, less of the hassle you have up to now experienced.

I usually Approach based on the following criteria.

a.) Do I find her attractive?

b.) Is she alone or with a group of friends?

c.) Is she reasonably close by, so that I won't have to run a whole city block and cross the street to get to her?

Other than that, I try to avoid the girls who look too high maintenance, too arrogant, or those who's overall style I'm just not feeling. I also try to avoid girls I think may be underage. There are probably other criteria I should adopt, though. However, I would consider myself picky. Often long periods of time pass between individual approaches, too.

Quote:I found the night scene to be best, JP girls are just shy during day game.

Not exactly my experience. I tended to encounter more shitty attitudes at night.

It'd be fun to get together and compare notes. Immortal, where are you living? I just moved to Kyoto, but we could arrange something.

RE: Bang Osaka
2 days out in Kyoto and I haven't really found any busy bars or clubs... granted it was Tuesday / Wednesday but still. The Sam & Dave's is apparently closed and I couldn't find World Bar (I found a World restaurant but that's it).

I went to ING bar, a small place about as large as a hotel room and talking with a guy and apparently last year Japan started shutting down places that allowed dancing because it was 'very bad'. WTF?

I think this doesn't make sense.... Well -

http://www.timeout.jp/en/tokyo/feature/7...ht-dancing

"the main room must have at least 66m2 of unobstructed floor space – and opening hours: depending where it's located, a club must close by either midnight or 1am."

Somebody call Kevin Bacon...

Osaka has a couple of places that clearly violate this... as I imagine Tokyo must too.
Maybe they make sure he 'right' people are taken care of and left alone??
People who want to really to clubbing must go to Osaka if they want to have a good time past 1AM... We're living in 2013 right??

I know a bunch of people who go to the why not events. They seem like a great way to meet chicks that will definitely be more receptive that some random chick on the street. Go to one in or near Osaka and you will probably create a good network of people just from one party. There is a pool party in osaka on Sunday that I might check out . I dont think its a why not party but still should be the same thing basically. I went to one beach party in Kobe a few weeks ago and it was the shit

J girls can be very subtle in their intentions. Sometimes you really need to pay attention. One thing that happens to me occasionally is, I'll be on the train and a girl will come and sit beside me and then pull out an English textbook. If that doesn't scream, "I hope this guy talks to me!" I don't know what does. This can also happen in a coffee shop if she sits at the table next to you or you're at the counter. If I see an English textbook being pulled out in my vicinity, I assume it's an invitation to open. There are times where she could just happen to be studying English and doesn't want my creepy old ass talking to her but I'd rather see the glass half-full. LOL

- about 60-70 club/bar appraoches that went nowhere.

....

I certainly to hope that I'll find an easier way of pulling in Japan, but right now it doesn't seem like it. I suspect (and fear) that that's simply the amount of work I have to put in to get anywhere here. The only reasonable method I can think of is to build a solid harem once you've really put in the numbers so I don't go starving here.

3 out of 135 seems much more doable and what you describe mirrors your game reports. Hell you cut the German nightclub approaches (which I have heard is extremely social-circle oriented as you say) that is a killer day game rate.

Like I said I have read your thread on and off it seems like you are out everywhere hitting on girls. I also remember reading J-guys can be huge cock blockers. Does this make social game tougher? Will they just rat you out as a player?

Sounds a little bleak! I am thinking if I ever visited there for two weeks I would have to do 100+ approaches. X that... I don't know a word of Japanese so probably 500 and then I would most likely have to lower my standards! I'd go anyways in a heartbeat for Japan itself.

Don't get discouraged guys. You can hit the clubs and go for the ugly sluts. There are some that will bang. And the bonus is that for about 95% of you, your biased eyes will see quite a decent looking girl that is still 10 or 20 lbs less than the average back home.

After looking at the "would you hit it" thread, you could literally go for the ugliest girl in the bar and it seems plenty of you would be perfectly happy with her. Wink

RE: Bang Osaka
Ok, time for a recap...

Thursday, August 8th, 2013...

The Trainstation...
Decided to look up a Whynot? party. At the trainstation I decided to grab something to eat. Pass a girl with a very pretty face and long hair walking past me. I think "Nah...shouldn't. Besides, I've already waited too long, she's too far behind me. Decide to go for it anyway. While walking towards her I'm thinking about going direct, but decide to open by asking where I can find a cheep restaurant around here. Proceed to chat for about five minutes. Another highschool student!? Well, at least she's in her last year. We talk a bit more, I talk out of my ass. At the end I suggest taking her out to lunch sometime. She looks a bit nervous, does that Japanese type of rejection where she's too polite to say no directly. I let her off and we part ways.

The Lawyer...
Later, when I get on the platform to wait for the train, a woman in her late twenties sits down next to me. She seems to glance over at me in some kind of interest, maybe she's looking at the notes I'm writing. Who knows. Reason enough to open her.
I ask if the train leaving from this side is the standard/local (普通電車)or rapid(快速). We babble for the remainder of the train ride. When she tells me her name I ask how it's written. She hands me her card. Not sure if she's expecting me to keep it or not, but I stick it in my wallet just the same. We talk for the remainder of the time until I reach my stop, where we part ways.

Switching at Kyobashi to the train leaving for Tennoji, I spot another girl who looks at me and...seems to smile. Again, reason enough to talk. I open by asking some bullshit question and proceed to talk out of my ass from there. We chat for a while. 19 year old University student at...can't remember where. I was originally planning on switching to Tsuruhashi, but since she's saying she's going to Shin-Imamiya, I decide to go all the way to Tennoji, where I expect her to transfer as well. Turns out she doesn't, so when I get off, I don't have time to close. Nice chat, but can't count this one as an approach. Oh well.

The Highschool Student (Tsuruhashi)...
Switch to the train going back to Tsuruhashi, where I spot a moderately tall younger girl with a very pretty face. When we get off at Tsuruhashi together, I ask some bullshit question about how to get to Nipponbashi from here. We chat for about 10-15 minutes, partiallz because I say I've got lots of time to kill and would like to practice my Japanese (both of which are true to an extent). Another highschool student, 18 years old. Eventually I decide to go for Facebook this time, then end up getting her number anyway.

Chat with another girl at Starbucks while trying to figure out the address of the bar for the Whynot? joint. Neither of us can figure out for the life of us what the map on her iPhone is trying to tell us, so we drop it. Chat for a few minutes. She's from Tokyo, visiting Osaka with her mother for a few days...not going to bother chasing that one. One of us leaves and we bid eachother farewell.

The Whynot? Pary...

It seems These kinds of things are much more practical for meeting people than the street or clubs. I sit down next to the bar, and a girl starts talking to me, a bit older but not bad looking. She's a bit drunk and kinda touchy-feely. Exchange numbers. After a while I start chatting with this other guy, some American approaches her. I start speaking to these two Chinese girls, one of whom is heading back to Beijing the following day. Exchange facebook. The other girl says we should meet up soemtime and gives me her FB, too. Talk to two other Chinese...or one Chinese girl with a Japanese girl (I didn't hear her speak). The Chinese girl gives me her number, says we should meet up. The Japanese girl I spoke to at the bar heads to another bar. Later texts me, asking me to join her.

At the other bar, we chat for a while with the bartender. I put my hand on her legs and ass. No protest, but she brushes my hand away lightly at one point. Otherwise not very really reciprocating. She says she's going to an Internet café to sleep until the next train arrives (about 5:30 in the morning). Doesn't look like anything will come of this tonight, so I remain in the bar for a while, chatting with the bartender and the clientele until I decide to head out. I think maybe I can look for a few more prospects, but there's no one on the street other than hostesses, Chinese prostitutes and homeless guys. Eventually I strike up a conversation with a girl with a bast tattoo on her arm (bartender from the sound of it, but don't close. What follows is basically me walking aimlessly around Namba for about two and a half hours waiting for the sunrise and the next train. Collapse into bed at 6:20 AM. Got a date scheduled with the Highschool student I'd met on Wednesday.

So far that made...

RE: Bang Osaka
If the girl seems a little uncomfortable you might try indirect/direct. Go indirect at first, but then do a little kokuhaku and ask for the number. You could say something like, "実はちょっと可愛いと思って、話しかけたんですよぉ。本間に日本橋に行くねんけども、道をおっちゃんにも全然聞けたし…まぁ、良かったらなんですが、いつか遊びませんか?" (The truth is, I thought you were cute, so I spoke to you. I'm really headed to Nipponbashi, but I could just as easily have asked an old dude… So, would you like to hang out sometime?) I've never really tried it, but Japanese girls are so aware of being picked up that just addressing the elephant in the room might work. I donno. I'll try too and post my results.

RE: Bang Osaka
Recap of Friday, August 9th, 2013 (Part I)...

Okay, this was my jump the shark moment for Japan(ese women). I apologize in advance for the rant and melodrama...

I'd planned to meet the girl I'd previously gone to the Starbucks with the other day (Wednesday, "The Highschool Student") at 15:00 on Friday. Skotch will remember this from the text exchange. I always keep in the back of my mind that any girl can flake, but it seemed unlikely, since she'd been pretty interested that day we'd met and only a day had passed since we'd met. I get on the train and notice I'll probably be a bit late, so I text saying I'll probably be there at about 15:15.
14:56 I get a response, saying "ごめん、きょう無理になっちゃった。” I think "you have got to be fucking kidding me." Now!? You wait until I'm on the fucking train to tell me this!? You couldn't have told me this five hours ago or yesterday? I try to give the benefit of the doubt and text her back, saying I didn't understand what she meant. No response. At Kyobashi I decide to call her, shit if she's gonna make me come half an hour all the way out here for no reason I might as well get an answer. No response.

This was the Jump the Shark moment for Japanese women. If this had been the first time, or the second time, or whichever, I would have brushed it off. But it was at this moment that all my frustration over the near superhuman flakiness of these women went overboard -- they are the embodiment, the personfication, the very definition of the word "flake", and not just with dating, mind you, with anything. I recalled the ten to twelve or so Japanese women (and one guy) I'd met in Germany with whom I'd tried to arrange a meeting with, usually for language practice, but occasionally for dating, and how I could recall maybe 2 who had not come up with some BS excuse not to show up at the very, and I mean the very last minute. No other nationality I'd ever encountered had ever managed to pull these kinds of figures off. Only the Japanese.
This is something that happens nearly consistently with Japanese women and almost only with them. With any other nationality, you'll find flakes, but none come anywhere close to Japanese women in this regard. Already before coming here, I knew that if I made an apointment for anything with a Japanese woman, I'd have to make parallel plans because odds were she wouldn't show up. This was a truth that I'd conveniently forgotten until recently. If you set up a meeting with a Japanese girl, don't just be prepaired for her to flake, expect her not to show up unless proven otherwise and make other plans for that day.

This represented the tipping point: I'm not usually this bothered by the current situation here, but combined with the until now unprecedented and unparalleled number of instant blowouts, rejections, unanswered texts and flakes I'd encountered here over the past four months, my brain temporarily went haywire. I felt a nearly uncontrollable urge to smash my phone against the pavement and to bash in the skull of every living thing in sight...but I simply stood there trying to maintain a calm expression on my face. This seemed like a despair event horizon. It truly seemed utterly impossible to get anywhere in this country. I felt like a crypto-zoologist hunting the loch-ness monster, a member of SETI looking for intelligent life beyond earth, and I even began to wonder if all those women I'd slept with and dated in other countries, China and Central Europe, had even happened. How can one get laid with decent regularity in other countries but be an absolute chump the moment one arrives here, with two one-night stands out of 230 attempts? It didn't (and still doesn't) make the slightest bit of sense.
My mind kept telling me to give it up entirely, that this was a complete waste of time and resources, a complete fool's errand, like Sisyphos with his boulder in Hades...

...but I got up and headed off to Namba for another night out. I would tear this entire city down and sink this island before I let it have the last laugh...

The rest of the night I'll post sometime later...

I can understand your momentary frustration. We've all been there.

But I have to ask again, why are you so single-minded in only running street approaches? It's interesting as a data point on what white guys should expect from street game in Japan. But I don't think it's a balanced approach to getting a solid sex life. And isn't that what you want? Try coffee and book shop game. Go to whynot parties. And do internet dating. You will get laid from those. Sure you may feel like you're not pushing the boundaries of your skillset or something, but repeat...you'll get laid. You'll be more chill hitting the streets and chasing hot schoolgirls when you just kicked a girl out of your bed that morning, even if she was a gaijin-lovin' 5.5 from an international party.

Dr Johnson rumbles with the RawGod. And lives to regret it.

Look at some of my previous posts again. I'm not only doing street approaches.

Actually, I added the numbers up sometime last week on a spreadsheet, and street approaches made up less than half the approaches I've done while here (about 40%).

Clubs? Approached more girls there than on the street, but admittedly, I should put more effort into looking for different venues.

Coffee shops? Been doing that, too, but admittedly, only about a sixth of the amount of girls I've approached on the street. It'll be interesting to see what kinds of results I see after a hundred or so of these.

Whynot-Parties? Just started going to them. True that it is much easier to meet people there.

Internet Dating? You're right about this. Still haven't really delved into that.

A lot of the girls I appraoch are on the street simply because I pass by a lot of women whenever I'm walking from one place to the other.

What I'm trying to say is that street approaches are definitely not the only types of approaches I've been doing here. It is true, however, that I need to continue looking for more options.

RE: Bang Osaka
Sargon I read your post about the flaking, maybe what i do can help out.
I haven't been flaked on in a long time, so my text game has gotten a bit lazy lately...

I've been using roosh's text guide since i got here.
http://www.bangpickupguide.com/misc/text...rooshv.pdf

Say you set up a date for the 26th.

example:
me: hi memcpyです 最近はどう? (hello how are you?)
her :忙しいですよ
me: たべに行こう 来週空いてますか? (you free next week? lets eat something)
her : うん26日空いてます。(yes i'm free on the 26)
me: じゃ26日18時どう? (ok how about 18o'clock?)
her: うんOKおkです どこですか? (ok)
me: 26日場所考えたら伝えるね (on that day ill tell you)

When she asks you 場所どこですか?(where are we going / meeting?)
just reply with 26日場所考えたら伝えるね (when I think of it ill tell you on the 26th)

On that day I usually send a text at lunch time or morning telling her where to meet. Sometimes around 13時 i'll send off something like this.
me: こんにちは 今日18時XX駅で待ち合わせ またね( hello see you at the station at 18時)
her : うん!またね

If she doesn't text or sends some bullshit flakey mail ,I don't respond.
(I've already made a plan to hit on girls in the event she flakes so it's no big deal. )

Basically 4-6 hours before the date I have a good idea of whether or not she will flake or not.

also worth a look, i might start trying it this way.
http://www.rooshv.com/anti-flake-defense...lege-girls

Also where are you meeting these girls ? It seems like you have to go a long way to meet them for a date. Try to get the date closer to the station closest to your apartment if possible.

RE: Bang Osaka
Yeah, I've read Roosh's anti-flake defense. I used it quite a bit back home and it worked out pretty well, but here I usually don't get far enough to use it at all. This is how my texting conversations have worked out recently.

Me: ”のぞみ、こんばんは。サルゴンです。最近はどうですか?” / Nozomi, it's Sargon. How've you been recently?
Japanese girl: [No response].

Sometimes...

Me: "かおり、こんばんは。サルゴンです。今元気ですか?(Hi, Kaori, it's Sargon. How are you right now?)
Japanese girl: (Usually the next day) こんばんは、元気だよ。サルゴンは元気?(Hi, I'm good, how are you?)
Me: ”元気、元気。来週一緒に食べに行こう?”(Good, good. Let's go out to eat next week?)
Japanese girl: [No response], if lucky, I get a "来週忙しい/I'm busy next week." Good luck trying to get a response from anything after that.

I hadn't even planned the date with the one above using text messages. Suggested it at Starbucks the first time we met and she marked it on her calendar. This is why it seemed unlikely that she'd flake.

Compare this to a Chinese girl who's number I got this past week.

Me: "Hi, サルゴンです。昨日は楽しかった。今元気ですか?” (Hi, it's Sargon, yesterday was fun. How are you right now?)
Chinese girl: Hi Sargon, ^_^ 昨日は楽しかったよねー今日も暑いけど...元気だよ。Sargonは?また会いましょうねー (Hi Sargon Smile yesterday was fun! Today is hot but I'm good. How are you? Let's meet up again).
Me: 私も元気だよ。はい、また会いましょう。来週多分難波にいる。時間あるなら一緒アメ村に行こう?(I'm good too. Yeah, let's meet up. I'll be in Namba next week. If you've got time, how about we go to Amemura together?)
Chinese girl: 了解(^O^)都合合えば、一緒に行こう!(Got it Big Grin, if things work out, let's go together!)
Me:”わかった。土曜日はどうですか?” (Got it. How's Saturday?)
Chinese girl: 土曜日仕事だ^_^; 日曜日ダメですか?(I'm working on Saturday Smile ; Is Sunday not good?)
Me: 日曜日大丈夫だよ。16:00はどうですか?(Sunday's fine. How's 16:00?)
Chinese girl: 大丈夫よ。どこで待ち合わせしますか?(Fine. Where do we meet?)
Me:アメ村。あのアップルストアの前。(Amemura. In front of the Apple Store)
Chinese girl: OK、アメ村のどこへ行きたい? (OK, where in Amemura do you want to go?)
Me: バー、レストランとか、名前覚えてないけど。(Something like a bar or restaurant, I don't remember the name).
Chinese girl:了解^_^はまた来週日曜日ねー。楽しみてます。ではおやすみー (Got it. Well, see you next week Sunday. Looking forward to seeing you again. Well, good night.)
Me: はい。お休み。(Yeah, good night).

...all of this takes place over the timespan of a single evening. Had a text exchange with another Chinese, that went similar. Another one, where she was going back to China and had no time, but still responded quickly. It's like the Twilight Zone or something...

RE: Bang Osaka
Ah I see, also another thing is that girls seem to prefer to use LINE more than texting over a phone. You should get that app for your phone or computer. It's free. Also put a nice picture of yourself up on there , it helps.

I actually went 9months here in japan not using LINE(i didn't know about it). When I signed up , I had a bunch of girls that showed up on the friend add list from all my past exploits. So natually I added them all and sent them all mass texts. I managed to revive a few old contacts and get them out, date and fuck.

I sometimes get messages a day later. With these girls it's hard to coax them out on a date, but i've done it before. Just keep them on the backburner and text and bullshit, when Sunday comes, i'll send a 週末はどうだったの?(how was your weekend). But yea, most of the time these are not good prospects they often are just being nice by responding.

Often times i'll add a girl on LINE and she will open up and chat more. Not always, but I strongly recommend getting that program. If you got then you are good to go here.

Usually i'll send a text by phone. Then switch over to LINE and send a message, if no response then I usually move on.

RE: Bang Osaka
I've been doing a little combination of Roissy and Roosh text game lately. I think I might have talked about this elsewhere on the forum, so sorry if this is a repeat. Anyways, I send a random-ass text to gauge interest (ala Roissy) and then follow the Roosh text guide from the "do you want to hang out?" part. I've been using a made-up story about walking and texting where I almost run over a kid, fall down the station stairs trying to avoid him, and then get laughed at by some old ladies.

But if the girls are losing interest that quickly, it's likely not a problem that can be solved by tightening up your text game. Text game doesn't make an uninterested flake interested, it helps keep interested girls from flaking. I thought about this a bit earlier, but it seems like you have a bit of a shotgun approach. I probably approach too little (actually, I know I do), but I think you need to be a little bit more calculated. Some people might disagree, but I think culture does have a lot to do with it. Japanese girls are insanely aware of being picked up. While most don't have a bitch shield like American women do, their defenses are still tough to penetrate.

Whoever's in or near Osaka and free next week, let's meet up for a drink. It'll be Obon, so everyone might be gone home to the parents for that time and/or busy visiting dead relatives, but whatever. We can shoot the shit go over stuff. I'm good pretty much any day between Tues and Fri.

Post here or PM me.

Sargon, I don't understand what is going on for you. I've never pretended that Japan is an easy place to score, but 2 out of 222 is low even for here. You come across like a decent guy in your writing so I would have imagined better success for you. It's possible that you're doing something without realizing it that just doesn't fly in Japan? Maybe you need someone to stand on the sidelines and watch you to see if that's the case?

I can tell you one thing. Any guy that studies 'game' hardcore and then tried to apply it here is going to do badly. Japanese girls don't respond well to cocky dicks who are full of themselves and sarcasm is not understood nor funny here. (I'm not implying you do that and your writing doesn't suggest it. Just pointing out a couple of things that game advocates that would kill a guy's game here.)

Anyway, I hope you figure it out soon. It's getting painful reading your posts. LOL (I have felt like you described though. Japan can be fucking frustrating. I've got one foot out the door at this point.)

RE: Bang Osaka
Recap of Friday, August 9th, 2013 (Part II)...

The Korean...

Sat down at the Starbucks at Hikkakebashi, planned on doing some writing, but realise I didn't bring a notebook. I sit next to a girl who seems to be studying and ask if I can borrow a sheet of paper. She obliges and by her reply, she sounds korean.
”韓国人ですか?(Are you Korean?)” I ask.
”はい、韓国人です。(yes, I'm Korean)” she answers.
We chat for about 20 minutes on and off, but she seems to be more interested in studying. Travelling alone in Japan until the end of August. I have to speak Japanese very slowly for her to understand. After a while I say I might be heading towards Amemura and ask if she'd like to join me (lone tourists have usually obliged to this in the past), but she's not interested. After chatting for a while I ask if she'd like to meet up for some language practice (I would like to learn some Korean), offering to teach her some English, but she'll be in Tokyo starting next week. Oh well. While I'm talking to her, the Japanese girl I met at the whynot party texts me, saying she's at the same bar, asking if I'll be there tonight. I say I'll be there sometime later...

On the way to the bar...
Pass by very cute girl on my way to the bar. Stop her an ask how to get to Nipponbashi from here. She offers to walk me there. We chat along the way for about ten minutes. At the end, I ask if she's got Facebook. Shakes her head. I suggest exchanging emails, but she turns me down. Too bad.

When I get to the bar the girl isn't there. I ask the bartender (they all know her name), who says she went out. I call, and she says she'll be there in a bit. Sit down and have a few drinks and chat with the staff. Half an hour, not there yet. I have a few more drinks and chat with the staff and clientele, mostly foreigners. Two of the bartenders are Japanese girls. I decide to wait another half hour until I go out to a club or another bar. After 30 minutes, I text the girl, saying I'll be going to a club in ten minutes. She calls and says she'll be right there. Runs in after a bit, out of breath. Was at another bar. We talk for a bit, but I kinda lose interest. "She asks what I'll be doing at the club. Nampa? Shake my head. Just going to drink. Walk out after a while.

Bambi...
Walk into Bambi and grab a drink at the bar. Friendly atmosphere. Fun. No obvious signs of bitchiness or BS. Here it makes more sense just to chat with everyone and have a good time, so it's hard to count in terms of approaching. Bullshitted with about 4-5 groups of girls. One where I tried to close and got shot down by her friend. No big deal. After a while, I decided to head outside and check out some other bars recommended to me by the Irish bartender from the previous bar.

The Crazy Bitch...
Try to find a bar called Kamasutra. Walk up to the fifth floor where it's supposed to be located. A Japanese woman in her 30s walks up to me and starts babbling drunken gibberish in English, starts touching me and leading me by the hand. Make out a bit here and there. She leads me into Kamasutra. Shithole. No women either. She must have asked me about 5 times in two minutes what my name is.

"What YoUr naME?"
"Sargon..."
"Your name...your NAme's JUStin?"
"No, it's Sargon."
"I'm...Ah'm..."
"Kaori, I know"
"how...HOW you know!?"
"You just told me ten seconds ago..."
Pauses. Looks confused..."...What your name?"
"Sargon..."
"DAVID!?"
"No, Sargon?"
"I'm..."
"KAORI, I know..."
"How'd you know!!?"
Facepalm.

She keeps babbling on about how it's her "MAMA's bIRthdaY" how she wants to introduce me to her "MAMA"...Oh boy.
Drags me into a Korean restaurant and shouts "MAMA!" to the old Korean woman behind the counter. Is her family Korean, or something? The old woman rolls her eyes and chuckles as the words "いらっしゃい!(Irasshai!)” come out of her mouth. There's another pretty Japanese (sober) woman sitting at the bar with a guy.
"This is my ONEECHAN!" she shouts. Aparently they know eachother, but she ain't her older sister, and that old lady ain't her mother, but what the fuck, who cares? It think.
We have a few glasses of Korean Soju together. Hasn't this chick had enough already? Eventually, the sober Japanese woman, apparantly her friend, leaves with the guy. From what I understand she seems to expect me to look after her drunk friend. "Arigatou" she says to me as she walks out...leaving your drunken friend with a complete stranger...some friend you are.
We sit down some more and this crazy bitch goes off the deep end. Blood shot eys make her look like she's got Harlequin Ictheosis. Now the question that keeps coming out of her mouth every three seconds in English is "What you do?"
With each minute, this chic's English gibberish becomes more incomprehensible, her movements more erratic (arms flailing out in all directions) and her voice louder. Eventually, she starts shouting so loud everyone in the bar beginns staring. All the while this evil, batshit insane look in those bloodshot eyes of hers.
This bitch is crazy. She on anything else. I don't know whether to be terrified or amused...or both. I wanted to take a picture of her that way, with my phone, but I decided not to. I'm not that mean. Woulda been funny, though. Eventually, I lose it. I start laughing my ass off at every word that comes out of her mouth. This makes her louder and more aggressive, she starts pointing at the door. In between the gibberish I get the impression she wants me to go. Fine by me. I bid the old Korean lady farewell and walk out. Hope that chic didn't get too fucked up back there...

More bars after that. All recommended by the Irish bartender. All foreigner joints. No good prospects in any. I sit down in a few and have a chat with the staff, some are foreigners and some are Japaenese. Friendly people.

Back at Bambi, the fuckers won't let me back in, despite the stamp on my right hand. No readmittance? 3000 yen to get back in. Fuck that. The rest of the night consisted of walking around amongst the hostesses, Chinese hookers and homeless loitering in the streets. Caught a bit of sleep at the Starbucks, which stays open until 4:00 in the morning. Try talking to another girl when I get off the train back home at 6:00, but she's not too responsive and I'm too tired to bother to close or squeeze a rejection out of her.

So far, I counted 3 approaches that night; that makes...

231 approaches, 51 numbers, 12 dates, 2 bangs

More info coming soon...
