I have a rather pessimistic view, actually. But I'd like to know where that came from, if you could get me out of my ignorance. Like names of the brands and factories and such. If you can find the actual means that the "Commercial Farms" use to grow them, and compare to the US method, that would be great.

Look, I say it because I've never seen a chicken farm here like those in the US. I still have a country house in Colombia and all we see is poor people raising animals, When they have to sell them to get some money, the companies offer them scrap. Sometimes they rent between 10 people some shitty facility and call it a "chicken farm" for subsidies, but if you found something else I'd love to see it.

Agrarian societies dependent on grains as a staple all end up short and ugly, and reducing the population to the point where we can all eat grass-fed organic meat just won't happen.

People who eat a little bit of quality meat rather than heaps of shitty factory meat every day tend to look a lot healthier, as well as having a tendency to live longer with fewer illnesses.

While growth hormones are technically illegal, a lot of the cheaper brands have been found guilty of mixing the feed-stock with female hormones. Tyson (supplier to Walmart, McDs, KFC) got caught doing this a couple years back.

And yeah those people you are talking about are just subsistence workers breeding chicken for their family and selling the surplus to people related to them.

Concern about estrogen and hormones generally in chicken is valid, although is it much worse than that of beef or pork?

I'm wondering if significant thermal processing would do anything to destroy the pathogens, antibiotics and xenoestrogens in meat? Would there be a difference between baking it in an oven at 220°C or cooking it in a soup at 100°C? Anyone knows of a study concerning this?

Barring that, I bet that marinating chicken fillets in apple cider vinegar helps

While it's supposedly illegal to provide growth hormones to birds, I've seen some crazy shit. If I were to call up my meat purveyor and ask for a case of "chicken breast randoms" I'd get some breasts that are freakishly big. With any meat purveyor there's what's called "commodity" product. There's commodity beef, pork, chicken, fish. You don't want this stuff, trust me. It's the shit you get from Tyson, or IBP (which Tyson owns), pretty much the stuff you get if you buy any processed food or food from Walmart.

There's gotta be some loophole for using some growth bullshit with those chicken breast randoms. I've seen breasts that weigh up to 2 lb each, and they get these birds up to slaughter weight in 6 weeks. Ask any farm vet how it's possible to get an 8 lb bird from hatch in 6 weeks.

When I was in the Riveria eggs were smaller and chickens were smaller. They also tasted better. When I was in Mexico eggs weren't even refrigerated. It's because they don't contain the same bacteria American eggs contain. The yolks were darker and richer and just tasted amazing. Majority of food in America sucks. Its filthy. It's not fresh and it's filled with pathogens that are not as harmless as mentioned earlier in someones comment. It is not natural for a human to be constantly fighting off poisons. There's to much money involved to even blame govt. Believe it or not a lot of things happen that the govt and president know nothing about. Just look at what happened to JFK when he wanted answers.

Farming on your own land and having a chicken coop not only saves you money but keeps you healthy. Run game on an organic farmer if you don't have the time to build your own.

Grow your own tomatoes. Buy a tomatoe from Walmart. Blindfold someone and have them eat both. Film it and put it on YouTube.

It's a problem of scarcity. The healthiest meat out there is going to be grass-fed beef, chickens foraging for themselves, and wild-caught fish. But there are too many humans, and not enough pasture. Fishing is a huge tragedy of the commons problem nowadays because countries can't agree to hold back on overfishing long enough to let fish stocks replenish. Hell, I'm from the Pacific NW where the government spends billions helping fish fuck just to be able to keep our precious hydroelectric dams running and fish salmon at the same time.

Industrial meat farming is the only way you can generate adequate protein for the world population being what it is. The alternative would be soy for protein, and that's been firmly established as causing bitch-tits. That said, my solution would be to have half the world population eat the other half, and repeat until there's only 100 million people.

I honestly think the amount of xenoestrogens in our diets mixed with the deficiency of necessary vitamins and minerals from our food is creating the perfect climate for men becoming wimps.

The prime reason I say this is once I started taking multi vitamins and zinc before bed, I was so so. 2 years ago in college, I struggled with my emotions and felt so awash that I was making decisions like a girl at 13.

Fast forward to today, I eat a BIG diet of saturated fats (sausage, bacon, eggs every day for breakfast) with whole mix. This helped somewhat, but it wasn't until I started taking ZMA that the natural grounding of something (guessing it is testosterone) made it close to 50%. Working out made it close to 100%.

THe ZMA in particular made people obey me more. I'm guessing a mixture of pheromones and body language.

All men should supplement themselves with ZMA before bed. For sleep and for testosterone.
