I can't imagine having a bitch like that in my face, I am not sure how I would have reacted. Good thing the cops were there. Did you talk to any of the cops? Were they supportive of the protestors? Just keep on yelling "fucking scum" in everyone's face to drive your point home. Yeah, you are a "strong" woman.

Roosh,
For your next post, make it about the 10 or however many you may want to point, reasons why TO sucks as a city altogether. Off the top of my head, here are the top 15 reasons I came up with:

15 Reasons Why Toronto Is A City Best AVOIDED By Any Sane MAN

1) weather crappy 9 months of the year.
2) people are cold, lack manners and shallow.
3) expensive.
4) very high taxes.
5) fag heaven.
6) feminazi ground 0.
7) PC Central. (5-6-7 form what is commonly known as the Holly Trinity of Shitdom).
8) average women at best with their nose up in the stratosphere.
9) no vibe/identity to the city. soul-less city.
10) it saps your energy and desire to live almost and as a result, makes you lazy and get fat and get complacent.
11) people have no sense of style.
12) boring people all around.
13) everything closes early.
14) huge sense of entitlement from the "her-males".
15) HUGE inferiority complex as a whole by the city and its population desperately looking to be considered a major global city.

Brothers, am I forgetting anything important? Feel free to add to this list!

You're definitely on the right track by wanting out of Toronto and Canada all together! Good for you man!

Yeah BKK is a mega awesome city! To avoid seeing the creepy sex tourists, simply stay outside of the rawdy areas, avoid the lower Sukhumvit parts (1-16) and if you want to stay near the action yet away from it at the same time, Prom Pong, Chit Lom and Thong Lo are awsome! Or if you want to save money, stay near Ekkamai or Onnut or Victory Monument.

Another option very near the fabulous Hong Kong is to stay in Shenzen or Guangzhou which are awesome cities in their respective ways, very happening for sure and just a short subway ride from HKG (for SZ) and 2 hours train from GZ. It'd help if you have some Chinese skills, if not, no biggie, it's not something that you couldn't pick up with time and effort.

I'm going to be busy for the next one or two years in North America pursuing some educational accomplishments, but I've thought seriously about moving to Shenzhen when I finish that. It would be an ideal base to build connections and look for jobs in Hong Kong while enjoying mainland prices.

I do speak Chinese.

I am confident that I could find a decent lifestyle in Bangkok. However, based on my research, it can be a hard city to find consistent intellectual stimulation in. Could be wrong, but I know for a fact that HK is very stimulating.

The long term goal is definitely to settle in Asia. Hong Kong allows for Permanent Residency after 7 yrs. I only came back to North America to up my qualifications, I think the smart move long term.

But if I wanted to, I could be earning serious money in mainland China any time I wish. It takes about 6 months to build up the client base to earn a decent profit freelancing. If nothing else works out, I always have this fall back option and it leaves my schedule open for plenty of nightlife and day game opportunities. Being in a city with worthwhile women is another matter altogether. Not a problem if you stick to Beijing, Shanghai (gold diggers) and Hong Kong

I'm the King of Beijing!

Suits,
There's a good and solid young international entrepreneurs crowds in BKK and that can provide great intellectual stimulation.

Btw, why not do a masters in SZ or GZ or even HKG? It wouldt it be cheaper than Canada/TO in GZ/SZ, don't know about HK? Plus, the mega advantage of studying there would be killer contacts and networking in SZ/GZ or HKG which trumps any networking/contact opportunities in TO specially if your goal is to work in HKG.

That's awesome that you speak Chinese! Did you learn in in China or in Canada?

Btw, mad respect for keeping your cool and letting that femcunt yell from the top of her lungs while you remained as cool as ice! I probably wouldn't have been able to remain as cool as you in such an hostile environment.

There is potential everywhere for this. However, your occupation more than anything else tends to determine your social contacts and presently, I wouldn't be qualified to do more than teach English in Bangkok. It would be an uphill battle to get outside of the scumbag English teacher network and into the decent social opportunities. I'm sure I could pull it off, but I'm confident that I'd have a better time in Hong Kong with half the effort.

Also, I lean towards preferring MLTRs with smart women. I'm worried that that might be hard to swing in Hong Kong. Had some trouble with this in Tianjin (none in Hong Kong).

Ideally, I wanna be somewhere that if two of my buddies happen to leave the country, I'm not scrambling to replace them with quality dudes. I'd prefer a surplus.

Quote:Btw, why not do a masters in SZ or GZ or even HKG? It wouldt it be cheaper than Canada/TO in GZ/SZ, don't know about HK? Something to think about.

Right now the plan is to finish up my undergraduate in the USA and graduate in two years with a BA in Asian Studies, History and International Relations as well as a certification to teach secondary ed. This would make me much more competitive in HK's teaching market.

I've thought about doing a Master's degree in China. Unfortunately the programs taught in English are competitive to get into and my university GPA is only about a 2.75 (ADHD). My Chinese is good enough for first dates, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to study in a Chinese-taught program.

I have been batting around the idea of just going full broke and doing a Ph.D. in China. There are plenty of universities that would be happy to have me just on account of the fact that I am a foreigner. I reckon that I would need a year of intensive study to get my Chinese up to snuff (HSK3-6) and then another 4-5 yrs to do the degree. The reason I'm thinking about a Ph.D. in China is because I have a serious interest in doing research, but my grades probably won't get me into a worthwhile program in the West.

Going to school is a great way to network. When I first moved to Tianjin several years ago, I initially lived in a student dormitory for five months, even though my plan was to work. The social capital it gave me was something I rode for years (and it got me invited to all the African parties).

Quote:That's awesome that you speak Chinese! Did you learn in in China or in Canada?

In Beijing, then Tianjin. I've spent three years living in China.

Working with stupid little five year old Chinese kids did wonders for my skillz. Nothing aids fluency more than having the need to scream at the top of your lungs at stupid little brats.

I'm the King of Beijing!

No its not lol.

Go to New York or any other big city.

Toronto is just the perfect size.

Clearly someone who's never been in Scarborough at a party, and been hit up by a pony out in Mississauga to come fuck...or hell, even been past Bathurst and had a girl from the Danforth hit him up at 2:00 AM to come over.

The logistics outside of a tiny square right at the core are dog shit.

Quote:Massive importance added to everyday occurrences (Toronto is a very fertile breeding ground for manufactured drama) + Corporate atmosphere (Watch a Leafs or Raptors game and count the number of suits and guys on their Blackberries) + terrible logistics (the only way you can reasonably expect to do damage without a car is if you live in the tiny square between St. Clair, Bathurst and the DVP) + ridiculously expensive + over-the-top Feminism and PC + the birthplace of PUA (these girls have seen it all) = Not an easy place for an overwhelming percentage of men to get laid (I also get the feeling that the ratios are off).

As true last month as it is today.

Anyways Roosh; do you stand to gain any money (not from exposure or book sales, more like web traffic) from all this?

It desperately wants to be considered in the same category as the true Great cities of the world: Paris, London, Rome, Athens, Moscow, New York City, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, Shanghai, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Buenos Aires.

Newsflash: Toronto is at best, a 3rd rate regional city in North America, let alone the world. Even a so called 3rd world city like Bangkok, blows it out of the water in every category possible: infrastructures, transportation, environment, climate etc...Heck, even my internet speed in BKK was way faster than what I'm currently getting while paying 50 bucks a month for it!

Your perspective seems a little extreme to me, but I'm open to it being true, as Toronto falls below my own personal standards.

I've been to Hong Kong, Bangkok, Shanghai, Tokyo and NYC and my feeling is that Toronto does compare to some degree.

I'm always impressed with the food in restaurants in Toronto. Public transportation does leave a lot to be desired, but it does get you where you need to go. Toronto boasts a nice island with acceptable beaches and the architecture isn't lacking. There is plenty to do and enjoy. Plenty of amenities. A fabulous Latin, Ballroom and Swing dancing scene.

I've lived in a large city (Tianjin, 13 million) which failed miserably as a world class city, so I know what sucks. I've also lived in Grand Rapids, which is great for its size, but informs me as far as what a city under 1 million can really pull off. Its nice, but not world class.

I'm not ready to brag about Toronto, but I'm curious about why you think that it rates so low.

Could you go into more detail, just for my edification.

VP post is spot on, your are comparing Tianjin and Grand Rapids as examples.
Oh it has the potential (Toronto) to be great but the greedy politicians and businessmen have ruined the city.

Montreal is way colder and has way more snow btw but other things make up for that. Buffalo gets more snow then Toronto usually which I think has something to do with the lakes so NYC definitely has different weather than TO.

I agree. It's NOT the weather in Toronto, it's the energy and vibes. I actually think the weather in London is far shyttier than Toronto. At least Toronto has more sun and this is vital to feelings of well being.

The PC machine there gives this neutered effect that was making me tired and listless. Just like Roosh, I like to be witty with lizards and I couldn't say anything without being deemed as some sort of oddball. I can't make any observation about any culture without putting a positive spin to it. Everyone there loves everything. They love all forms of music, they love all countries and all people. Bunch of clones. I couldn't be bothered to go to the gym because why I am busting my balls to pull a five?!!

Toronto has this PC wack vibe to it that I cannot take. Even when people think they are being rebels, I want to puke at their lack of invention.

Even so called wack cities like Whitby, Oshawa, Ottawa, Halifax had a much stronger vivre to me because they were not trying to be what they are not. I always enjoyed myself in those places because those were where the true Canadians resided.

There are a few good people that I have met from Toronto and this forum has helped bring us to a central location.
But by and large, it's like being in a prison camp. It took me longer than should have to apply to get the fcuk out because in the back of my mind, my pride was telling me I could make it, that it was all about 'who' I rolled with (according to what this Guyanese dude had told me).

My financial situation is far worse than it was when I was there..I had made it there according to Toronto standards...but the further up I went financially, the softer my erections became.
