If you had $100, you wouldnt be throwing away $5.

This is a stunt, a stupid, no class, showoff stunt.

I drink mineral water every day, which is like $2.09/bottle.

Probably you "waste" money, too. Open your books and have people second-guess you. I'll bet we'd be like vultures finding lots of waste.

We are all talking about his stunt. So...

Sounds like effective advertising, as, again, the 50K he "spent" will actually be a tax deduction at the end of the year. It'll be rolled into his marketing/PR budget.

You buy a $2 bottle of water and then you drink it. You dont spill it just so anyone can see how much you spend.

(By the way, notice how in the pictures nobody is looking in his direction when he throws the money away. Not even the strippers...)

Yeah. My initial impression was it's a business move. Keeps his name in people's mouths in between pushing out records. Kinda like that brawl he had with Chris Brown. These kind of activities go along with the business that he's in. That's just what rappers do. He's part of the "made it" class.

I also think this and other similar outings would qualify as a tax writeoff for his business return.

Fuck yeah. Get in and support the authentic with the blood money. 48 power rules and The Prince, done.

That, yes.

And also to be a man and realize that what's on a TV isn't real life.

There are a lot of entertaining rappers with "hardcore" images. But there are a lot of white guys in suits with far more colorful pasts.

Going on an on about people who appears on TV and in US Weekly is blue pill by definition, as it's a discussion about manufactured reality.

"Hardcore" Tupac, for example, was media created. The guy was bi and remained on the down low to the end.

I agree with Mike CF that he is making the most of his opportunity. We would all do the same.

But that don't mean you still have to like him.

We was okay when he came out, but the fame has him thinking he really is a thug.

The hate comes cuz you can just sniff the phonyness. He grew up in one of the toniest hoods in Toronto but acts like he is street.

I'd do it in a heartbeat. One of my friends from Highschool became the guitarist for a current, major dancepop artist. It's fame. Fame is the ultimate hammer in the game.

I don't get how people like the genre so much.

Guys like JZ sing about how they fly around the world in a private jets, how they are so much richer then us,how they are fucking models and the rest of aren't, and people lap it up and sing along. However imagine if you met someone in a bar who talked down to you like that and told you he was richer and better with women than you, that he wore more expensive labels than you. You'd think who is this prick? But put a back beat to it and a heavy baseline and people are like oh yeah Drake is awesome,he drops 50K in a club! Nah I will seek my heroes elsewhere.

Exactly. But I'm old enough to remember a time when hiphop was nothing like this. Grassroots hiphop from the late 80s to mid 90s, the Golden Era of hiphop. It was about telling stories from the streets, survival, having fun, positivity, being self-aware, fighting "the man". Some of that hiphop is still around in underground circles but that's not what moves the charts anymore. Now it's all braggadocio, all the time. I like Rick Ross because the music is dope, but content-wise he's just talking that same "makin' it rain" bullshit.

I discovered this local LA rapper Derrick Buck last year. I think he's dope. He's making true hiphop, but few people will ever know about this cat.

G, the most successful men these days are the smart ones. Alpha is icing on the cake.
Let me give you a perfect example. Watch the end of City of God part 2. They have an hour and a half documentary that goes on as long as the ruddy film instead on the real Brasil.
Something that resonated very strongly with me was that the prison guards said they arrested some of the smart criminals in the favellas, the bookies, the ones who had never been in jail before and had no goon qualities to them. When they imprisoned them in the general prison population, they expected them to be eaten alive. Lo and behold, when they came back, these 'nerds' were actually the ones running the prison gang and had the smarts to manipulate the 'alphas' and the stone cold killers into positioning them as leaders in the prison populus.

You always post up clips of wolves and the alphas and again, I enjoy watching them greatly.
But the true emperors, the shot callers these days, like it or not sadly, are the smart guys, NOT the ones who can knock everyone out and stomp out ass.

Trust me, I don't hold any affiliation with these sweet ass cats out there in the public eye but I can't deny when I see certain things prominent.
Even if you are as alpha as fcuk, you still need to have smarts to know how to manipulate the game or you just end up being that ferocious old wolf that everyone gathers to talk about but wasn't able to amount to anything when the day finishes.

Give you a perfect example, I think Arnie was alpha. A man unapologetic about being a man and his philandering showed this to some degree but he used SMARTS to get further than just being a perceived meathead pumping iron.

Again, as I said, being SMART does NOT need to co-exist with being alpha.
Drake comes off as being smart. He hasn't been involved in any stupid scandals that has hampered his money. Plus because of his Jewish blood, I would also place him as in a group of people known for stacking cheddar and not pulling of dumb ass moves as a whole.

However, only time will tell.

Hip-Hop has always been about braggadocio.

Listen to the earliest hip hop, everyone rapped about who was the best rapper.

RE: Rapper Drake Makes It Rain With Fifty Thousand $1 Bills
Drake has a witty flow. People just hate him cause they ain't him. And when you make 500,000 for one show, 50k really doesn't matter. Whether you write it off or not.

While I agree Hopkins is the man, no one outside of boxing really cares G.

Always tell the establishment to f*ck off. Never change. Never break yourself for anyone. Never sell out. Never do anything weesh. Be true to yourself. Be a MAN.

And have the whole world come around to you.

That is the way I prefer to do things.

The problem here G is that there are a lot of men out there who like winning over everything else. They will do whatever it takes to be number 1.

Honestly, I respect those kinds of men.

That's why I don't give a shit if Drake is "the softest rapper alive". The man has created a public persona that has generated millions of dollars, and created fame that has lasted several years. So far, the man has proven himself to be at the top of the heap.

The man is a winner, and that is all I care about.
