Hey,

So, all throughout 2011 and into 2012, I worked with my then music partner on a full album (plus 2 songs, 12 total). A lot of work. It also sounds quite professional, my music partner was an excellent music programmer (we used cubase). So, as things stand now, I have no band, my partner moved away, but I have this album (which he told me I had full rights to - unless a lot of money started to get involved naturally).

My question is - is there some way I could make money from this thing? Off the top of my head, I'm thinking maybe I could - somehow - contact as many indie film producers as possible and let them know they could use it for relatively cheap.. lord knows how I'd get a hold of them, or get such a list together.

I don't know the first thing about promotion, etc., and being that I don't have a band going right now, that avenue is dry, and will be for at least another six months or so.

Do you guys have any ideas? It's the one thing I 'have' that has any potential whatsoever to make me a little money at the moment.

Here it is - I do all vocals (except backing), most guitars, wrote all lyrics

It's very difficult to make money off of music. This is pretty good though. Not quite my style but good.

I'd register on Bandcamp and let people offer what they wanted for the entire digital album, and then join a number of forums to chitchat about music and promote it. You might get some $5 donations.

I don't know much about music but one of my writers raised about 30K in a couple of months on indiegogo.

2. Put it all on youtube and monetize it.
3. Sign up for a publishing service.
