The theory is that a high intake of sugar leads to craving due to the strong stimulation of insuline secretion....you get a "high" and after a short period you start getting hungry again.

In the end though, it boils down to total calory intake....

Hops is best known for its use in beer. The majority of physicians and men overlook its potent chemicals and do not realize that beer itself can significantly alter the male androgen levels. German beer makers noticed long ago that the young women who picked hops in the fields commonly experienced early menstrual periods. However, the physician Eugene Shippen in The Testosterone Syndrome comments that one of his patients undergoing pharmaceutical testosterone replacement therapy, showed no response to the testosterone until he reduced his beer intake to one or two beers a night from six to seven. Hops is extremely potent and its consumption should be limited if not completely excluded during all androgen replacement therapy. I call BS on your article. IF this is was true, it would only apply to heavily hopped up beer, which most beer isn't.

I highly doubt this statement also, the amino acids in plant proteins aren't in the correct proportions to be efficiently utilized by the human body, making them low biological value compared to animal proteins.

No steroids early to mid-20s. Late 20s after 5 years of hard lifting and then it's an option but may not be advisable if androgen levels are good.

That's why lab work is so important. If you have a normal job, you can get your testosterone (total and free t levels) tested during your annual exam.

Get your test levels measured. I got mine measured every year for past 7 years.

That will give you a baseline.

When your baseline drops (and it's not attributable to diet and lifestyle and is not a short-term blip), then taking other means may be appropriate.
