My guesses (ran out of time to edit this in):
1978 VW Bus - Blue/White - Not old enough to be cool, beta.
1996 Eagle Talon TSi AWD - Beta if stock, Alpha if ~400whp and self-tuned
1999 Honda Civic EX - Beta
What's the matter AndriodOcean?

I like mech's posts a lot, but it did dawn on me while pondering this thread this morning that mech's definition of alpha car is coming from a blue collar perspective cause i saw some nice cars taht were considered nonalpha.

in other news, does tom cruise pick his nose in traffic?
No Mechs perspective on cars comes from 30 years working on them and seeing who drives what and why. If I tell you a Jetta is beta it's because I've seen 500 hopeless betas come in with them and need parental assistance to pay their bill and make any decision.

I concur on the C2 being badass.

Especially with the factory sidepipes.

And 427 of course....

@ Zero day game
Mitsubishi , beta
Altima, beta
Audi TT hooked up nice is Alpha learn how to drive a stick and fuck with turbos, get a 2.0 turbo if you can.

@ Little wing The Bentley and BMW are both cool but I would question which type of person would buy that Bentley thing over the other choices with that kind of cash.

Even in a basket it will be pricey.

My old man had a '67 427/435 tripower 4 speed in Marlboro Red with black stinger he sold for $2500 in 1973.

Kinda wishes he had that one back....

Haha. Classic.

The Civic I got a steal on with really low miles/good condition and I was able to buy it with cash on hand. The bus and the Talon needed to go for financial/mechanical reasons. The civic gets great mileage, is dirt cheap to maintain/insure, I'd rather continue to live by the beach than have a car payment and live somewhere shitty. Working on rebuilding my finances and getting my garage clear enough to park the civic and a future motorcycle in there. Parking by the beach can be fucked and if your car isn't inside, it can deteriorate rapidly.

Would I rather drive something else? Sure, but not enough to go into debt. Do I care that much? Nope. I know it'll change with time and I don't even drive on the weekends anyway, it just gets me where I need to go during the week.

I've been fortunate enough to drive some (other people's) very expensive, pretty fast cars. Mustang FR500S on the racetrack, 450whp Evos, 996 Porsche GT3, Ford GT, ~450WHP Corvette, BMW M3s, BMW 1M, etc...

I'll drive something badass when my shit is in order and only then.

Which beach? A lot of this is location. Do you need a stick in FL? No it's flat and straight. You live in the city where nobody has a car? Another story also having anything that's not trashed in a parking garage is an alpha move.

Prefer not to say, but I can see some of the pier and the water from my living room. On the weekend a bike, a longboard (skateboard), or your sandals is all you need to get around. The car isn't trashed, but it's definitely got some bumper scrapes from the fuckups who can't park (parking is parallel and open to the public in many areas). Can't wait to be parking it in my garage again.

Double post- Couldn't edit the orginal. On top of that, that is a Firehawk instead of the original trans am/firebird/formula type of deviations.

I was perusing pictures and copied the wrong one. This is the black one (not the one I have, I will find pictures from my old laptop when it gets back from tech support).

They do not come stock with the scooped hoods, but you can buy one fairly cheap with the scoops to make it look like the 98-02 LS1. I have the Lt1 in mine. Still hauls, but being a college student I have more important things to purchase than an engine swap. Would be nice though.
