It came up on YouTube. It's 2017 and apparently white, so must have a wrap on it.

Got an '05 Mustang rag top at an UNBEATABLE price last weekend. Stock photo but exact same car (minus the 5.0 sadly):

[Image: 2005-2014_Mustang_Convertible_Steeda_Spo...ed_001.JPG]

Engine at 160k miles, still runs like clockwork.

Came with full maintenance history. Everything works (minus some electrical glitch here and there, the door ajar light comes on randomly sometimes etc. that kind of shit)

Most importantly, one owner car!

Woke up Saturday morning, saw it up on craigslist for a mere 40 minutes and snatched it right away.

Ran a CARFAX on it and it said $8,600 book value. The owner apparently needed fast cash and let it go for $2,500.

Took it yesterday for an oil change and inspection, everything's turned out to be flawless, and the shop tech actually offered 7k for it on the spot. I mean holy shit.

Sadly no V8 and no standard (5 spd automatic) but I mean you can't have everything right? I believe it's the same V6 from the same model year Explorer SUVs.

I was wondering how much these V6s like spray? At 160k miles am I pushing my luck too far or can I still spray my way to victory? Just saw this https://www.americanmuscle.com/zex-nitrous-2005-v6.html (they're actually cheaper on Ebay) and I am kinda eager to get one.

Also is there any mileage related issues that I should look out for? Laner mentioned timing chain stretch but I don't hear any rattle.

How much to drop in a 5.0? TheThing and I will drive that V6 down to Florida for a swap.

V8 would be indeed awesome. I don't want the modular though, 5.0 or nothing.

Haha but I have 3 weeks of paid PTO and if you got a totaled/wrecked 5.0 standard shift and could drop the whole drivetrain right in, I might actually take up on Laner's offer and drive it all the way down south.

I promise to haul along my girlfriend and all her Scandi blondie friends. They all dig the USA road trip in a 'vert idea, and they're all petite and slender so I'm sure I can fit at least 3 in the back seat.

To update my earlier posts, I ended up getting a late model used Jeep Wrangler, in superb condition. 3.6L V6, manual transmission. 32” Tyres. So far I’m really enjoying it on the snowy and/or dirt roads.
DJ-Matt · 2018-12-06 16:47:00 · #1268
I picked up an 07 F-150 supercab with the 5.4 V8 for $6k a few months back, only 150k on it's odometer and well maintained.

5.4 is the motor out of the Mustang and it accelerates fast for a truck.

The new exhaust systems on the new Ford Mustangs - they sound like a louder Honda Civic fart can exhaust.
