Actually I didn't find Hong Kong to be that much of an improvement over SEA.

The middle age British guys I saw trying to chat up maid prostitutes were often wearing cargo shorts in Hong Kong (yeah even in February) and were often fat.

There's also a epic number of lower class uneducated British people on a 6 month visa to Hong Kong who've gone over to work as host / hostesses, waitering or something and they seem to be very Bohemian or Hipster (shaggy hair and clothes outside of work).


The reality is Asia is always going to attract the more degenerate people of the west. The higher functioning Europeans and Westerners I think realize the cultural barriers are too vast or can't deal with the xenophobes. But the losers stay for the money and the various free passes that exist for them whilst in Asia.

Even sitting in Church in Korea wearing suit pants and a collared shirt there was some American guy who attended service in dirty cargo shorts and some comic book t-shirt and just looked like a dirty slob (and it turns out he was in Korea far longer than me).

It's a frequent problem every time I was living in or traveling in Asia.

Which isn't a bad thing because it means you can easily mog the other white guys in most of Asia. But in Hong Kong is a bit of an oddity because of the probably 100,000 white people who live there (legal and illegal) and you have to work a bit harder to get a Chinese woman in Hong Kong than on the mainland or Taiwan.

The British guys who go to Wan Chai are there because they are old and fat. The people who are legitimately balling and also take care of themselves don't need that place and won't be seen there.

People who bang the maids have absolutely no self respect, those women are repulsive. It's not that hard to fuck locals. It's just mostly not worth it since better options are literally next door.

HK is great for many things such as food, unique culture + history, shopping if you are into that kind of thing, business opportunities, higher education for certain fields, and even hiking but in general very subpar for women. It's crowded and on average the local women are not that attractive. Exorbitant prices make it difficult for logistics. At first places like Kowloon, LKF, and Wan Chai make it seem like it could be a poosy paradise but you realize that outside of these spots it's a crowded conservative society.

I still love HK for its sky line and amazing food. So I still stop by for a few days when going through Asia. Also it's convenient to other stops but in general I'd avoid HK for game.

Really? I agree most maids look awful but not all of them. Some of them are 25 - 30 yo, no kids, decent bodies and want to find a white guy.
I know for a fact some of the better looking maids are semi pros too, I never paid and they never asked for money but I had that feeling. I hope posting this doesn't break any of the forum rules.

From what one of them--not one of the ones I banged--told me some of the maids (not her, OF COURSE, but OTHER girls) will take money if offered and if they like the guy but won't straight up ask for it because that would make them hookers.




That said, I'd say based on limited experience (two Wanchai Sundays) that around 1% of the girls are 7-8s, another 5% or so are 6s, and the rest are 5 and below. That sounds like an awful ratio and it is until you remember that a) women outnumber men 3-1 at all these bars and b) the SMV breakdown is comparable on the male side.

Now that being said, if you live and work in HK I can totally understand if there might be a stigma about not wanting to be seen trolling there. Totally get that, haven't asked anyone I know who lives there if that's the case but it wouldn't surprise me in the least if it is. But if you're just passing through (I've been to HK about 5 times but for 3-5 days each time), it doesn't hurt to check out IMO. If nothing else being a decent-looking, youngish white guy in Wanchai on a Sunday is probably the closest thing (other than P4P spots) most guys can experience to being a decent looking girl in the west. It's interesting to check out for that experience alone, IMO. But to each his own.

And I agree that the average westerner (both male and female) is much higher status in HK than in most other Asian cities. Not 100% though and you still do get the aforementioned alcoholic Brit creepers along with a younger backpacking crowd who tend to pass through HK on their way in/out of SEA, although the latter usually stay in dirt cheap hotels on the Kowloon side in Chungking Mansions and similar buildings.

Having spent a looot of time in HK I can confirm that this is the case. Keep in mind a lot of locals consider the maids to be second class citizens and treat them like shit. Personally Wan Chai on a Sunday has way too much of a Pattaya vibe for me. The only time to visit Wan Chai if you are a bit younger (20s) is Wednesdays which is "ladies night". There will be a lot of students there.

In general HK is tough, only in Singapore will you find the same amount of young decent looking foreign guys making serious money. Local guys are whipped like crazy, and any really good-looking local girl will have 10 suitors lining up at her door, if she were to break up with her high-school sweetheart. There is a reason all white youngish expats working in HK makes frequent trips to nearby places such as Bangkok, Vietnam, Taiwan and describes those places as "pussy paradises".

HK is probably my favorite city in the entire world, but it is not a place to go for easy notches.

Hong Kong has long had an infamous reputation. Most of the Jackie Chan movies made it looks like a shit hole that was full of prostitutes and Triads. The only difference after the handover is the Chinese hookers got replaced with Filipinas and some mainland girls.

@ atlant that's what I'm saying HK has lots to offer other than game. If you want anything 7+ from the local women then you gotta commit lots of time and probably a career opportunity in HK.

For other travelers I still recommend HK for its food, history, culture, hiking, scenic skyline, and a bunch of other stuff but you need to manage your expectations.

I still want my 100% HK Cantonese flag and plan on going back but will have to have a deeper strategy. Luckily my company has positions in HK but they few and far in between. I will have to maneuver to build the right internal skills and connections to get posted there for 6 months to a year. I don't want do it longer than that. Second choice is Tokyo or Singapore, which will give me repeat trip opportunities for HK.

Does Google Maps, Whatsapp work in HK?

They work no problem. Hong Kong has a special status and it's not really China, Shanghai is 100% China. That's the difference and that's why Google, Facebook, Youtube etc work in Hong Kong but not in mainland China ( Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen and the rest of the country). For mainland China a VPN is needed.

Good looking HK/EastAsian women can mainly be found in Central district, Causeway Bay or Tsim Sha Tsui. These are the good daygame areas...

Outside these areas, the quality of women is not great...

Also, if you have a proper job working mainly in the field of institutional/investment banking, legal sector, medicine, university professor, or any solid high-status corporate career, then local HK young women would respect you much more. This is because Asian society places a lot of emphasis on education and getting a respectable career. This is slightly from the West - I live in London and I find that young London women don't care about your career titles as much as HK women...

Good news (or rather bad news) is HK is already saturated with highpaying Western expats (mostly white) who relocated from the WallStreet/CityOfLondon to HK to further their legal/banking/investment/finance careers to enjoy the fruits of max. income tax of 15% in HK! (By the way, the pre-tax graduate salaries for City of London careers are now actually lower than HK, and they're even lower after-tax).

So Westerners are perceived to be highly educated/intelligent/got-their-shit-sorted/cool people in HK, and during the British colonial times before the 1997 handover, all senior positions held in government or big firms like HSBC are white Britons...unlike the perception of most English expat teachers strolling in other parts of Asia Pacific...

Also, it's easier to get a good looking HK woman if you're a white or EastAsian guy. Very low chances for a handsome darker skin guy to hook up with a good looking HK woman. This is not because you have not sorted your shit out, it is rather because Hongkongers generally look down on people who come from a poorer country/region.

That's why it's easier for a handsome Japanese/Korean/Singaporean guy to hook up with local women rather than a handsome Vietnamese/MainlandChinese guy, because Japan/SouthKorea/Singapore are on par with HK's GDP per capita, while Vietnam/MainlandChina's GDP per capita sucks. You will get that less in the UK where a lot of black guys are hooking up with white UK women. white british women don't seem to judge whether the black guy's country of origin sucks...

But it's slightly different case if you're a darker-skinned guy who grew up and raised in HK. There are around 30000 South Asians living in HK for 3 or 4 generations. Most of the 3rd or 4th generation Indians/Pakistanis can speak Cantonese without a foreign accent, but most of them can't read Chinese text. They have an advantage hooking up good looking HK local women over foreigners who can't speak Cantonese because speaking Cantonese without an accent is a core identity for Hongkongers. The HK Cantonese are decent, but you can cut through all the bullshit and hit up mainland China with your big banking bucks and rent at one of the nicest hotels for a couple of weeks and girls will swarm once you tell them where you're staying.

I'm slightly exaggerating on the last part, but honestly Mainland China quality blows out HK for the most part. The girls don't have that Westernized attitude and will often try to accommodate your piss poor Chinese and hang out with you.

Ironically, I probably fair a bit better with HK cantonese women on average but I think they aren't as pretty as their Guangdong sisters.

HK is 10x better than Singapore IMO. Singapore feels sterile and tame compared to HK. I would say it's also more expensive too but it might depend on where you go.

I do have the impression that majority of SZ girls are actually not Cantonese. They're from all over the country, with many from Hunan and Sichuan. A good chunk, if not the majority, of Guangdong girls from SZ are from the Chaoshan (Teochew speaking) areas it seems. Granted, there are many Canto girls in SZ, but they're a minority. For Cantonese girls, I'd definitely try GZ instead.

Shanghai is by far the most cosmopolitan, not necessarily Westernized, city in China. Among the youngest generation, pretty much all have traveled abroad, and a good amount are currently studying abroad, almost all of whom will likely return in the next couple of years. Its a great city if you want a Mainland girl with good non-weird fashion sense, first world standards of hygiene, and decent conversational English. On the other hand, the local and even the white collar transplant girls tend to be careerist and don't expect them to be submissive.

I'm not too familiar with Beijing and Chengdu, having never visited the latter and last time I've been in the former was over 5 years ago.

Personally, I'm biased towards Shanghai.

Most Chinese girls in SZ are from all over but it's ridiculously easy to find Cantonese girls in Shenzhen. Not to mention, Cantonese, Chaoshan, and Chaozhou types are all from roughly the same gene pool anyway. Don't tell them that, though.

They can be really proud of that sort of thing.

The other side that I cannot overemphasize is that a Cantonese girl in HK has a worse attitude than her mainland sister and is pound-for-pound not as pretty.

HK girls aren't super hard but unless you like verbal jousting with girls, I'd just find a mainland college girl who speaks Cantonese.

At the end of the day, if you're in a city in Guangdong province a ridiculous amount of the locals are from places like Maoming, Dongguan and a bunch of other cities full of Cantonese speakers.

Chengdu is great, I go there all the time. But you have to know some Chinese otherwise it will get frustrating.

I've only been to Shanghai once so far and it feels like the kind of place where you need a couple weeks (at least, ideally months) to really settle in and meet the right people, know where to go etc. otherwise it can be too overwhelming since everything is spread out, risk of getting ripped off is higher due to the massive tourist numbers and people are usually very busy. I feel like Shenzhen is more outsider friendly because absolutely everyone comes from a different place there - unlike Shanghai there is no entrenched "local caste" yet, whereas Shanghai girls have a rather notorious reputation in China. Everyone's in the same boat trying to make it which makes for an interesting social equalizer. Nightlife is, of course, worse than Shanghai but overall it just feels like an easier place to get to grips with in the short term.
