I do university part time while working full time. Upon finding that my class was cancelled today when I arrived, I figured I'd take the opportunity to walk around and do some Day Game. Found a hottie sitting on the grass by herself with a couple extra bags next to her and two guys standing a few yards away talking to each other. I figure whatever as they're probably friend zoned.

I walk up to her and ask where the Fitness Center is and she asks me if I'm new to the campus, and Bam... we're off. We're talking for 10 minutes and she stands up when I ask her how tall she is and gets close while maintaining eye contact. Obviously the IOI's are on so I start qualifying her. Then a minute later one of the dudes leaves and the other guy comes over and she introduces him.

He has this super jealous look on his face and isn't saying much. I'm amused but felt uncomfortable to begin physical escalation or go for the number. We talk for 10 more minutes despite the jealous beta orbiter helplessly looking on as I game this girl who can't take her eyes off me. Eventually I figured I should leave as he's practically mad dogging me.

Should I have just said fuck it and carried on as if he wasn't there? Maybe they were together? I don't know, I guess I should have done something more to see the interaction to an end rather than just walking away thoughts?

You're already lucky to have had a chance to talk to her alone for 10 mins. When the dude came up, I think it's best to do some minimal small talk out of politeness, but basically you want to be frank to him and her that the game is on. It's really coward to be gaming a girl, and backing off as soon as some other dude shows up. Depending on the circumstances, I would even risk bluffing "hey man, this is my gf".

Talk to the dude, use your social skills to gauge his interest so he thinks you are cool, completely ignore hot chick, talk to him for 5 minutes, in this time he should be practically doing his best to show how awesome you are, turn to girl, small talk for 15-20 seconds, take her number.

Why not just introduce yourself to the guy, be friendly with him and ask the standard Roosh question "So, how do you guys know each other?"
