I have made it a point, as you see on my tag line, to meet as many guys on here as possible. And the reality is, only a very small minority is doing really well. The vast majority even with decent game is really struggling. To put it another way, 10% of the guys are getting 90% of the pussy while the rest is barely getting any decent stuff!

AND, in this country, I am NOT in that 10%.

It's not just about racking up numbers for me. I consistently do (new notch on Saturday night with one of the new girls I brought on my client's jet), but it's about one thing:

I want more than anything to be able to say 'A great girlfriend', but I just can't bring myself to do it.

I've had some LTR experience like most of you have, and maybe it's just me, but at the start of every one I say 'This time, it's going to be different', and for a while it is; I try harder, I invest myself in the 'relationship' and I try to put her first...but then I say 'I don't like this; it's way too much work for the return, and as cool as she is, I can probably find another one fairly easily.' No minor coincidence that my two longest LTRs occurred when I was in my early twenties and I hadn't developed my game too well yet.

Not that one day I won't want to settle down, but I'm young (29), I have game, I keep my appearance game sharp (when at home - China has turned me into a shadow of what I once was but I can still pull) and I know that in the next ten years, I'm entering the male prime; not that I'm 1000% committed to the idea, but at this juncture, many bangs is a more preferable option to a girlfriend.

Ideal situation: a 'girlfriend-caliber' #1 + 3-4 girls on the side.

For now it's bangs, in the foreseeable future, it's bangs, in the far off future, that's when it gets a little cloudy. I'm young, I'm on the up and up, I like the chase and I want to have my fun before I settle down (or is this only okay when women say it?)

In my experience and from my observation of my friends it's a lot less work than going out 3 - 4 nights a week trying to pull new stuff.

When you find a girl you have some good chemistry with that's really tough to beat and these girls don't come around that often. I would rather spend my time with someone I have good chemistry with and enjoy being around than banging a new pussy that provides neither - but that's just me.

And right there is the problem. Who said, a relationship has to last for years or decades? It could last for a few months or a few years. The point isn't even the relationship. For me, when it comes to both men and women, I want to spend my time with people who I enjoy being with. I usually won't bang a girl I don't like because I just don't enjoy it that much.

I would say that it's just as hard as it is to do the club grind (3-4 nights a week...though you can augment it with day game and do 1-2, you should be gaming everywhere, there are opportunities as soon as you step foot out the door) and rack numbers as it is to keep a long-term relationship with a high-quality girl up.

Most guys, or at least most guys here, we're sprinters; we build the attraction, we escalate, we treat the girl, but then we get into the relationship, so now what? We know how to keep it going, doing the relationship stuff, boyfriend-girlfriend stuff, but me personally, I get tired of it all after a while (4 LTRs lifetime, at least ten girls that started out at LTR-potential, but fizzled after 3-4 months).

Add to that that high-quality women face a bombardment of male attention everyday, from all sides, and it's just so difficult to keep it together. Truth is, most men are loving life in the first 2-3 months of a new relationship; lots of sex, little responsibility, all around good times, but it's often a different story when you have to get to know someone. It's hard to keep interested in the same person day in and day out, especially when you've heard all their stories and know all of their interests.

For now, bangs, and every so often I'll stumble onto one worth trying it out with, but I think I need to get older, calm down and get things better set up before I'm ready to start a family (the end game), but let's not underestimate the challenge of sustaining a long-term relationship; it's not always easy.

What I can say based on my experience, is that when you have deep chemistry with a woman maintaining a long-term relationship with her is very easy, almost no work at all. How much work do you put in to maintain your relationship with your good male friends? That's about how much work I've put into my LTR with my girlfriends. Now, these are girls I chose very carefully. The most critical factor is that deep chemistry.

A pretty decent amount actually.

I've lost count of how much time and money I've spent maintaining friendships. Weddings, birthdays, children, bachelor parties, graduations, celebrating work achievements, rides to/from the airport, helping with things like moving, etc.

I guess you are using "work" as a term with a negative meaning, while I'm using it more as "effort"

going out 3-5 times a week is easy for me. That's fun, it requires no consideration for anyone but myself. Maintaining strong freindships and relationships often requires me to do things that wouldn't be my choice but I do them to maintain the value of the relationship.

I think the average to above average guy that didnt start out at the bottom of the totem pole: the guy who could always get some female attention, always had girls flirting with him, was reasonably popular, played sports, well rounded etc, gets tired of chasing women after a while.

If you've been dealing with girls since you were around 13 or 14- kissing them, fingering them, smashing them, running trains on them, getting drunk with them, partying with them, vibing with them, getting dissed by them, getting rumors started about you by them, smashing their best friend or sister etc, you can only progress in life to eventually finding one that you want to settle down with at some point. Shit gets old after a while. Cause like I said, most guys are not smashing straight dimes every night. A true 8 or 9 coming around that wants to fuck with you is rare for the average man. Dealing with average to cute chicks gets stale after so many years.

Another overlooked point is getting good at cold approaching makes your social skills improve substantially, you can game your boss/office to get promotions. It's significantly harder to convince a stranger to trust you than a direct reference so when you game your office and also have a rec to back you it's like shooting fish in a barrel.

With that said I agree that your major focus in life should not be chasing tail, but that last leap of faith is tough...

Everyone has their own sliding scale of 1 sight versus two sevens or whatever the hell, but settle down? That's like shoving all your hard work down the toilet in a 50/50 bet where there is only downside. No thanks to that one, I'd rather risk being "old and bitter" since that's the argument all my loser colleagues use when they hit 35 and look 47 down $500K in assets from a divorce... Or two.

That's not what I really mean. Anyone on here can get a good looking girl that they like who is loyal etc.

I would actually argue anyone can get what you just described with 1 year of full on game hard work.

The real issue is to get to that level you have to be pretty good with women... Then when you're good with women you realize well I can always just get a new girl instead of dealing with this relationship... So the cycle begins, you end up quitting on it because there really is no point, start up a new one... Etc. it's more of like seasons in sports. One ends one begins. Just without the financial loss. Each one is just a fun new experience like the next season of hoops.

But yeah I'm not the best guy to take advice from in terms of settling down, that entire idea is dead to me now. Short term flings are fine, the 1 year mark starts to get real nasty.

When you live a life of hedonism in a country that is all about massochistic views, you'll benefit, messed up culture the USA is.

Again, I feel compelled to clarify some things here:

1. By relationship I am not talking about a lifetime here. A relationship can last from a few months to years. When it stops working, start a new one.

2. I am not talking about a bad relationship or a messed up woman. Obviously, either of those is going to be worse than having no relationship.

3. Whoever believes that being in a good LTR requires more work or just as much as going out gaming most of the week either has never been in a good LTR or is Don Juan/Casanova resurrected.
