Rocha & Goncalo - what neighborhoods would you recommend for someone who will be making about 40k euros net annual (post all taxes, income and SS) wages, will have a car, be working near the British Hospital in the Luz neighborhood, not really a partier, ,wants subway access, but also wants to meet and 'live around locals'?

Somewhere near the Gulbenkian museum, or Chiado?

Personally, having a car, I prefer the zone between the downtown and the coast line (Cascais and so on). This includes Algés, Linda-a-Velha, Miraflores, etc..
With the subway acess and hospital da Luz factors, I would probably choose between Telheiras and Alto dos Moinhos

Don't know where you get this from. Everytime I go to Beja, Évora or to the coastal cities I am always impressed by the quantity of fit and thin girls compared to Lisbon.

I would choose Laranjeiras area. Great access to speed ways, subway, supermarkets, universities(lots of chicks and young people live here). Lots of quality condos and apartments there, some of them there are higher class. Plus you can walk to work depending on the street you live

I disagree that Portoghese girls are not hot. I was at Lisbon airport few weeks ago and saw many 7-8 that were Portoghese and young, although they did not seem interested in eye contact

How is it running game in Évora? Are the college girls there easier than in Lisbon?

If anyone is up to date with Lisbon I would love get an update on good clubs/bars for PU. I went to Lux which was a great club altough the local girls did not seem very social or to be in a party mood. I also went to EKA, they had great electronic music but the people there almost seemed depressed, no party vibe at all.

I am particularly curious about where to go Sun-Thu nights.

What are the best sites to look up where to go myself? "Viral agenda"?

Urban = easy lays but low quality girls. I usually compare Urban to Mcdonald's and Lux to some fancy restaurant

Ha, then I will have very low expectations on Urban, because Lux seemed to be frequented by very regular people. It was a nice mix though with tourists, locals, and different age groups.

October and even till mid November can be pretty hot. We call it the Saint Martin summer (Martin of Tours, celebrated here on the 11th November).

Sevilla hotter, 45 there is common in the summer, the same applies to Santarém or Setúbal districts in Portugal.

Guys, if you are looking for an awesome restaurant run by a great couple, check out Paladarium while you are in Lisbon.

Also interesting was A Cevicheria, which you can grab a light snack from as you stand on the street. A little white wine and ceviche aids a long walking day!

Thanks for the tip. I've got a 5 hour stopover in Lisbon next week, so will pop into the center for lunch. Google says it's 45 minutes by metro.

A bit late to reply.. But hopefully it's useful to someone.

Was in Lisbon last year.. The best play imo, is to start off in Bairro Alto.. It's a shit show, but if you can approach and find some targets there, then move with your target to Pink Street..

Not amazing places (I would consider most of them "Eurotrash" clubs), but it seems like around 2-3am, it gets pretty busy and a lot of people start to congregate there.
