If you weigh the pros and cons, it's really a no-brainer.

I understand it may be overwhelming or scary, but I would take that chance in a heartbeat. Even if everything goes wrong, it will still create controversy and you will profit from it. Also, keep in mind that you have never done that kind of appearance before, and if you are ever planning on going on the media like that, this is a golden opportunity. One appearance here leads to more people knowing your work, which takes you to another appearance there, and so on.

Think about it: if you refuse it, will you look back in one, five, ten years time and regret it? If you think so, do it!!!

I don't think the appearance will hurt because love or hate, you'll get more folks digging through your work, and maybe it will result in a few more folks scooping up a book or two. It would just be cool just for the kick of doing it, since you won't have time to do your thing in terms of getting a bang. As for the dubbing issue...well, that's par for the course because they ARE doing for their audience. With media, there's always the concern about how you're going to be portrayed, and if you're going to be ambushed (talk shows stack audiences against certain guests, and I'd have to assume the audience would be stacked against you). You're sharp on your feet, so there's only so much they could do to you. It would be cool if some of your bangs are in the audience!

I say go, just because so few people ever get to be on a talk show. It's a great story to have, if absolutely nothing else, and I just really hope you go.
