Currently in Younde, in the Republic of Cameroon.

This is not exactly the most populare place in the world to swoop chicks. There are almost NO tourists, the VERY VERY few white looking people here are not really to be seen outside casino, and maybe the Hilton...

The city reminds me abit of that book, 'things fall apart'. Kind of alot of small streets, and backyards, etc. No paved proper roads, the layout is just very different. Everything from getting a taxi is a hassel here as almost EVERYONE negotiates and sometimes you are paying 200 vs 1000 for almost the same distance, depending on your negotiation skills and other factors, like no. of passengers in the taxi.

Recently met girls on the street and a girl online, and had conversations with them on the phone. she told me to meet infront of her house (pick her up and then might do something after, dont really know what to propose), the American date concept is abit loosely defined here, so everything i guess is quite casual.

Did anyone also have similar experiences in traveling in abit more adventurous places? Was anyone robbed? her house she says is very far to where i live, in evening, and I am rolling SOLO, and not really familiar with the city.

Are you gaming these girls and going about your days in French? I know that Cameroon is officially bilingual in both French and English but from what I know its predominantly French, anyway good on you for travelling off the beaten path.

I"m planning on hitting up Africa in the next couple of years but Cameroon isn't in my plans, looking forward to more data nonetheless.

i am trying very hard to speak french. (learnt for like 5 years in school) but since 5 years ago forgot most of it. Now gradually picking it up. some girls speak alittle english, which is much more comfortable for me but some dont really, so i have to speak in french, speaking on the phone is quite hard, but writing is slightly better.

I don't have a lot of experience in Africa, but perhaps this could be of help:

In case you never saw the girl (have you, or was it all internet-phone?) I'd take care. Especially if she lives in what may be a shady area. Check with locals in any case.

One of the things I usually do in 'exotic' destinations is to befriend a cab driver (sometimes a local colleague can do this instead). It's very handy to have a steady person to solve your logistics and who can guide you through things (and even wing you!).

You might go with your driver, or, you can have him pick her up "because you're so busy with work" and have her shipped downtown to you.

But is it really worth the hassle? If she's not really, really special I personally wouldn't think so.

If I'd be seeing great women in real life, in my area, in some (to me) unknown African capital, I'd be chasing them preferably if the idea is to roll solo.

Finally, you might also ask her if she goes downtown for her ordinary things to do, in which case you can keep yourself busy with other women until she naturally shows up and gives you a chance to check her out without you having to worry about burdening logistics.

Interesting post OP.

I think the chances of shit going down in places is pretty rare. The most that will usually happen is maybe a mugging and as long as you don't carry a big wedge of cash then it's no biggie ( presuming you are not beaten or stabbed of course ). Your instincts usually tell you if there is something in the air that smells off. If you are unsure about meeting this girl on her territory then tell her you can't get there for whatever reason and she should meet you at... *insert place you feel safe*. It's all part of the adventure.

I have a ton of respect for you anyway east and west. You have gone off the trail in search of adventure and women,good for you for not doing what 99.9% of others do by hitting the usual haunts. You will get a ton of self confidence from your trip having proved to yourself that you are a man who can hit a rough place on your own and hopefully succeeded in also slaying a local or two. A man after my own heart. I fly to Tbilisi tomorrow and will try to get in to Chechnya from there for a week of adventures and naughtiness.

Too many people complain about places now being ruined by Turkish sex tourists or British stags without being willing to forge a new path to see if better places exist.

You got mugged?

So i went and met 2 girls which i met online. One of them which i met in the evening. Turned out she was more brave than me. She was happy to come to my neighborhood in the evenong. And when i say evening means 3am in morning by definition of night in places like london as there aee NO street lights and its completly dark. Did not go into my house as i live in a resturant and its not possible to bring her here. I actuallu dont like the place i am stayong. Bad people no electriciry and no water. Anyway. Really new expwrience today. Strolling hwre is definitly different and if you thought peru was kinda sketchy this is completly different.
