@DD I haven't been to one in 3 months that you cant... Palladium I'm like 80% sure you can but I hadn't tried there.

Time club, super deal, 1000 pesos for a Bacardi Rum bottle and large container of coke... gets you a table and you can store it if you don't finish it (but it's only 1000 pesos so why the fuck not).

Well plus the 1000 airfare (maybe more), hotel etc - so you will need to do it 10 times to break even.

That is pretty amazing bottle service for 25 bucks though.

Palladium does. I left a half finished bottle there. Every decent place lets you store it. It's a really great practice.

It might not be possible on the weekends but Mon-Thu no problem. It's not advertised heavily, they have cards on the tables sometimes. In Time they don't exactly make a spectacle with sparklers and guys snapping photos. And when the club is dead you can just sit down on the couches and no one cares.

The music is decent, but sometimes the crowd will be 100% freelancers. It evens out later at 3+ AM when people from Bond come on Tuesday, from Palladium on Wed/Thu/Fri/Sat.

Plotting a trip to Tonle Sap next week - biggest lake in Southeast Asia. My research online says it's a huge tourist trap and that you get taken to this village they take all the tourists too where they try to milk you for "orphanage" donations, drag you to so-called crocodile farms, overcharge you for everything, and all kinds of bullshit - if not straight out extorting you somewhere along the way.

So I went down and talked to my tuk tuk crew and one of them has family in one of the villages that doesn't see more than a few tourists here and there. Much further into the lake but a more genuine experience. He said he'd accompany me as a guide and I only have to pay for the pass to the lake (there's a fee just to enter) and the gas for the boat. We're going to stay at his buddy's house in the floating village and catch some karaoke with the locals. Sounds like fun. Will report back.

Too much of Cambodia here, I will add a bit of Indonesia Disclaimer - I am new to game, take what I write with a grain of salt. So, after a month in Bali (mostly in Kuta) I got sick of it (too many tourists, locals are too aggressively trying to sell any kind of shit, though good-ish beaches and surfing) and decided to check out other places in Indonesia.

Flew to Surabaya and went to Colors Pub & Restaurant (Jalan Sumatra 81, can be spelt Jalan Sumatera 81) on Saturday night. The place was not big, drinks were around $8 and the crowd was half westerners and half locals. It started to get busy round 11pm, not too many girls and most of them were with guys.

Anyway, I got my scotch and started chatting with a young cool American guy who was with a couple of local friends. As we were chatting I was thinking of the best way to approach three cute Indonesian girls sitting at the next table. Yeah, I know - just go and deliver your opener and this is what my American buddy did the next moment, chatted with them for a minute and then introduced me. Of course, he got the cutest girl, I got, as I later realized, the sluttiest one and the ugliest one (still quite nice and I would definitely bang her) ended up with my buddy's local friends. Some funny shit for those of you tired of Western broads.

I went to this bar where this Cambodian bird that I banged before tends. At which point I just LOL and tell her I'm not exactly there to buy girls (shoring takes a little more push and pull than that).

Anyways, another one of the Europeans (I think they're from Spain?) is starting to shoot me dirty looks at this point - apparently experiencing a bit of friction with my attitude - but I just shrug it off.

About an hour and a half later, the girl from the other bar shows up, without her boyfriend. She walks in and she's walking by me, pretending to ignore me. So I reach out and shove her into two of the european broads mid-stride. Just run-of-the-mill fun and games. Maybe a little dicky but nothing too out of the ordinary.

She completely over-reacts and berates me in front of these girls (obviously putting a show on for them). Okay whatever but I feel a bit embarrassed because the way she does it makes it seem like I'm just some random guy hassling her. So I lash out right back at her and say something along the lines of "okay go fuck off. If you want to be so serious like that, don't even bother talking to me again. Ever."

She cringes a little at my lack of cringing and sits down, scowling, but I'm very bitter at this point on the hostile reaction and suddenly I turn to see the dirty-look-throwing Spanish chick (who wasn't even involved in this whole thing at all) is sitting there at my side with this look of aggressive disgust on her face. You know the one...

haha I don't know where it came from - it just came out. Needless to say the new look on her face was absolutely priceless. Some guy rolled up and gave me a weird look right after and I challenged him with a what's up but he instantly started apologizing (I may have just imagined he was tripping at all). A couple minutes later, her and her friends packed up their shit and left. Good riddance.

Half hour more and the slut that started it all is sitting beside me, hugging on my arm and apologizing. I explained to her that next time something I do bothers her she best pull me aside and let me know one-on-one and I won't do it again. I understand sometimes I'm an ass but I don't appreciate a public call-out. Any hotels you guys can recommend? Solo to Bangkok for 2 weeks, I'll probably just want to pre-book the first 1 or 2 nights.. Can you guys throw out some decent hotels in good locations? (Looking to keep it to $40 a night) I'm guessing I stay close to Terminal 21 and far away from Khao San Rd?

Tai Pan is the one I'd recommend you based on your description. Right by Terminal 21 and Soi Cowboy, which is the best place in town to warm up before hitting the clubs. About 40-50 bucks but large rooms, awesome breakfast buffet (among the very best in all of BKK) and an unbeatable location.
