I think you guys should come to the Philippines, just make sure that you get a visa in BKK because they only give you 21 days upon entry. The Philippines embassy is right on Sukhumvit around soi 30 I think, 1000 Baht for 2 months and its ready within 24 hours.

That's great to know scotian! I always thought that after the initial 21 day visa, all you'd have to do is go to the nearest government office in the Phils to have your visa extended. But it's nice to know you can get a 2 months one prior to going there. Makes things soo much easier!

Hey all. Been enjoying the stories. I'm in BKK now again myself too returning for the second time on my 5 month trip because I'm stubborn and didn't want to come here and not get laid. (I don't do bar girls) First time was here 12 days this time 2-3 weeks.

I've been going out every night again (It's possible I may have even been at Insanity when you guys were there).
I'm starting to recognize a lot of the same girls in all of the places I'm going to.

I'm staying across from Q bar and I've decided it's pretty terrible (no cover due to staying in hotel so no loss). Wednesday night is especially laughable as it's completely full with hookers. A bunch show up right before 12 so they can get their free drinks.

Levels is decent since it's free but a lot of the girls will come here that go to Q bar. Some of the hookers just hang out at the bar some will hang out at the tables inside and sit there looking bored. I haven't had a lot of success here. There are some regular girls here and a decent number of foreign girls but they seem to get snatched up quick and taken to a table or are with guys.

Insomnia
For a while I didn't even know this place charged cover. I would walk in through the diner side and the bouncer would just pat me down and give me a stamp. Taxing takes you to the "entrance" in the back alley and cover for guys was 300 last time.
Thursday I decided it would be interesting to go out and not drink all night. This was pretty hilarious. How so many girls will straight up stare at you it got creepy. I probably didn't notice it as much before when I drink. I was drinking water at a table and it must have been slow at the bars because within an hour 4 different girls approached me with basically the exact same set of terrible hooker game interview questions (Where you from? You come here alone? How long you in Thailand for?) Even with giving cold answers, appearing disinterested, and trying to ignore them they wouldn't always leave.
One girl may have been a regular girl but was hammered and wasn't fuckable and had bad English and wasn't giving good answers as to why she was there. I told her to go back to her friends, there might be creepy old dudes hitting on them but she didn't leave. I then "bathroomed" her - she asked if I was coming back and I said "probably not" (I didn't).
One move that was new was a hooker coming up to me and stumbles pawing at me with a friend in tow... saying "Hey..." The friend behind recognizes me as the same guy who blew off a bunch of girls already and pulls at her friend saying "Sorry..", the girl apologizes saying "Sorry I thought you were my friend" and leaves. Now I know what a 10 feels like. I considered just outright telling hookers "Sorry, I'm gay." so they don't waste their and my time.

I went from not liking the place to liking it to now hating it again since so many of the girls who hang around the dance floor and dance I've recognized as hookers/bar girls from other venues. Sometimes I see a mama-san push a girl into dancing at a guy, I guess maybe she needs to make her quota. There have been times with tourists here, I've talked to some foreign girls who study here but they weren't receptive at all (I probably should just lie and say I am working for a few months or whatever). Sometimes there are 0 real girls and it's sad just seeing a few creepy dudes dancing alone. There isn't anywhere to chill out in the main room since every counter space and most tables have hookers posted up standing around and staring at dudes.
Funny story I was here I think on Tuesday and there is 1 tourist white girl dancing wearing flats, a loose fitting ugly white shirt, short chin-length hair and a plain skirt like she just stepped off khowsan road or the beach. She was drunk and kind of throwing herself at dudes but not even 1 guy would dance with her. She wasn't fat but compared to all the hookers in high heels, tight fitting coctail dresses, jewelry, and long hair styled nicely was just a huge turnoff.

This place is open late and I may have to stick to it as an after hours hangout. Cover is expensive at 400 but gives 2 drink tickets. If there are any bar girls there I can't spot them. There's enough groups of mixed thai guys/girls that I should know it's better. Plus the tables that are there are all along the edges so people that want to leave their group and dance do. I got a number of a girl last Month I was there but she had a strange look to her (always wore ugly hats, studs on her clothing) and wasn't very feminine so I wasn't really into her. I actually saw her again last night with her brother and some other chick. It's possible she's a ladyboy but I'm curious what the hell she does that I've seen her out partying so much.
Last night I made out and got the number of a girl that her friend straight up said to me "My friend likes you". I ditched when she went to the bathroom as she wasn't passing the boner test and I was starving and hadn't eaten since my one meal at 7pm (it was 6am). Apparently she works at The Game bar but didn't recognize her even though I had eaten there twice that week. Might try and hit her up but she hasn't texted back and could be pissed I ditched her. The upstairs bar that plays other music that's open sometimes seems to have this "tall model type group" of Caucasians that is always there hanging out each time I have been. I wasn't able to penetrate that group.

Staff is very pushy trying to get you to buy drinks. Girl approached me with "You want me take care of you?" I tell her I like good girls only. "You won't find any good girls here." That's for sure.

This is what confuses me about Thailand, it's a while since I've been there but I remember it as tonnes of hookers. I don't think you can really describe a place as a pussy paradise when the majority of the girls guys are with are pro's regardless of whether you pay or not.

Some guys are saying it's easy and are getting with normal girls whereas other people are giving reports like the one above.

I don't understand why is it so hard to avoid ever being around hookers in BKK. Avoid lower Sukhumvit (Nana, soi 11, soi cowboy, etc..) and dont hang out at clubs past 2am. Problem solved.

I never ran into a hooker day gaming malls, spending evenings eating at thonglor or on nut, and going to clubs at RCA and thonglor/ekamai.

It is not a secret code or anything.

If you already read the thread and the others on Thailand, these contradictions have been explained at such length as to be painful to discuss any further. A handful of us have mentioned over and over that the difficulty level of normal women is in complete contrast to shagging the hooker, freelancer, and gold-digger.

Simply put, most farang men just never venture beyond the tourist area because the easy sex is so titillating to their senses and the club scene on that side of town is more reminiscent of their Western-style fun. They don't mind the fact that they're sleeping with the outcasts of Thai society because they still have a good time, and I say if that's what you want to do then go do it.

Several of us have outlined another way to approach the country if a man is so inclined, as we find this a more enjoyable way to experience a new place, and that advice has been largely ignored. All the better, I say, because I'd be horrified if a bunch of white boys rolled into a non-tourist venue I was hanging out at and started putting their hands all over the women, getting in arguments with the local men, publicly making out with trashy Thai birds, etc.

Thai men don't do this. They know the difference between different kinds of places and different kinds of women, and they alter their behavior accordingly. They may get loud and abrasive and even touch the women in a Thai-style "karaoke" bar (though they'll more likely still treat prostitutes like ladies), but in a mainstream club they'll act the complete gentlemen and use their manners. If they didn't, their peers would quickly set them straight.

Fortunately, these ingrained local paradigms also make it possible to enjoy both sides of Thailand by practicing a bit of the local-style discretion. Though I admit that type of self-control might hinder you if "notch-count" is your highest priority while there.

Funniest moment in this thread, though, was when Wedo expressed all that disapproval with the honest breakdowns of the bar whore situation and then told Fisto, who was telling stories about shoring and paying for prostitutes, that his post was "refreshing" and the best yet written about Thailand. Man-crush? haha Just giving you a little shit, Wedo, but seriously...I enjoy Fisto's posts as much as the next guy, but he's not doing anything different than the next farang.

Again, I say go ahead and do what makes you happy. Life's too short for anything else.

The thing that bugs me is when men who realize the "truth" about what's going on when men call Thailand a "pussy paradise" proceed to do nothing but complain about the place. Fair warning has been given again and again on RVF, so heed it.

It's pretty clear, for instance, that rvlefty is not okay with shoring and slamming the typical sluts who chase white guys. I completely sympathize, but why, then, go to bars where white boys and bar girls congregate night after night?

See that door over there? Just beyond it, an entire country awaits. Much of it is avoided by every other swinging dick with a passport, and while it's more of a challenge to get out there and experience how the other 90% of Thais live, I personally find it far more rewarding.

Hop on your motorbike, point it in a random direction, and go check it out.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I won't be going back to Qbar / Insomnia / Mixx...

In Jan I made 2 trips to RCA - on a Thursday and Friday.
Rolling solo in the bars I was kind of stumped as to what to do. It felt like I was in KL again. The entire bar is covered in tables with *zero* dance floor. There is a tiny bit of space by the bars to stand around but there weren't any girls there. I didn't see anyone mingling and they barely danced at their tables. As described by other posters the thing to do would be to have your own table with people and either pull people over or try and network at tables near you which I understand now. For the regular dude travelling for a week or two isn't going to have any social circle built up that fast yet. Or maybe try and stop girls on the way to and from the bathroom.
I'm a bit curious what happens on the streets when the 2 bars here let out. I have to think there would be drunk girls horny from not having any guys talk to them if they had just gone with their 2-3 friends at a table and bought a bottle.


I checked out Thong Lo once when there were a couple of parties happening. Same as RCA, zero dance floor and even worse club layouts making moving around nearly impossible (one bar I forget the name took about 10 minutes to shuffle to and from where the toilets were about 10m away). The clubs here do have large outdoor areas for smoking which is what I could only see working aside from getting a table. I don't remember seeing any farang in the bars there. I kind of felt invisible here.

I want to day game more in the malls but I'm admittedly kind of a pussy in that regard. It is common to see girls walking solo all the time in the malls though. My days are fucking short now I go to bed at like 8AM and wake up at 4PM... I have to fix this.


At Narz tonight it was good but the ratio wasn't as good as last night (and the "upstairs" had 0 people, lol). This time there were a lot of women rolling with older scary looking Thai men at tables wearing sunglasses. Seems like I got struck by lightning again and was opened by a girl saying that she had seen me at levels last week dancing and her friend likes me and wanted to give me her number but I just said I would go get it myself. They passed the freelance tests and I would have tried pulling but she had to go to work at 9AM that day at a hotel. It seemed a bit too easy but the girl was shy and didn't seem like she went out much and would start talking and I'd look her down and she'd just start giggling and look away.

There are for sure a ton of guys that come to BKK and end up paying for girls. There's just too many mismatches of poorly dressed guys in golf shirts with hot girls in bars or that I see walking home being pulled by the girl to not. But not just guys with no game/great looks: I met a guy last week that was built like David Beckham and his first night he met a girl and took her home to be shocked by her asking for 2000 baht so he paid her. He said it was at some restaurant/bar that I think might be the bar with chinese characters next to Le Fenix but I'm not sure. He had a bit of game (though a little naive it being his third day here). He had approached a group of girls at Q bar that I was pretty sure were hookers and I left and saw him at Levels. He said he brought 10 girls here with him and the girl he was talking to at Q bar and I joined the group and started talking to the hottest one. She failed the basic questions (what do you do here - just makes a circular motion pointing at the girls she was with). Asked me zero questions and just grinded her ass on my crotch. He said he banged the original and she didn't ask for money which I believe but she may have just been trying long game on him (next day texted him I miss you, etc.). I went with him to Mixx the next night and he pulled a solid 9 that I thought for sure would have been a hooker but he says she wasn't and didn't pay. He said she was talking to the driver in Thai and doesn't remember her paying for the taxi home (which is strange). I have to think he shored them both which is probably a lot easier looking like Beckham. He said he banged a Turkish girl in knowsan his first night. So 4 nights in row pulling (1 being p4p) I guess this is why sometimes people describe it as a pussy paradise. For me Bangkok has actually pushed me harder to take action.

Right on. I'm sure you'll kill it even there once you get the hang of things, Fisto. You've obviously got the game, and I'm sure Rio and others are more than happy to show the ropes. Sounds like THC did pretty well in RCA too. I'd recommend going even deeper into the jungle if you get a chance, but that's a great start.

I got bumped from my flight to Narita. Stuck in minnesota right now. I fly to detroit in a few hours and try again from there. Detroit had 17 open seats so I might be good for the flight tomorrow. I cant wait to get to BKK.

Texasmade, most of these ladyboys are very obvious, but some are hard to spot.

Last night on the bts THC, Science, and I were on our way home. Two light skinned girls got on and I raised my eyebrow because they were beautiful. THC said "esta hombres" and I had to do a double take. I tried to study them to see what the physical differences were but I really couldn't tell. The way they kept glancing at me was a more aggressive manner and one was wearing fake eyelashes. Other than that I don't know. I'm going to flat out ask from now on until I can tell.

I know Beyond Borders had some Thai friends, but it really isn't so easy. Language barrier and large cultural differences are pretty large barriers. I hear it is much easier to make guy friends in the Philippines.

I can see why people would find it hard, but it can definitely be done. I've managed to do it in every city I've stayed in over there. I think I have some type of talent for intercultural communication or something - and I love putting myself out there and thrive on those types of experiences when traveling. May not be for everyone.

I've thought about doing some kind of blog, maybe a video blog, about the cultural infiltration I do or at lest the experiences it creates. Or try to write some travel books. There's got to be an angle there somewhere.

You really nailed it with that post RN and that's one of the main reasons why I prefer the Philippines. For example yesterday, my buddy and I rented scooters and took off into this rural area and stopped for some beers at a small, family run roadside store, the owner was a guy of about 50 years and we chatted with him for about 20 minutes and he gave us some advice and tips about the city.

Those kinds of random conversations are harder to have in Thailand, I also feel like the Filipinos are more open to other countries and know a lot more about the outside world, it seems like most of them have a relative working overseas in places like Canada, Dubai, etc.
