I just wanted to add some of my thoughts on all the craziness.

@Beyond Borders and @Neil Skywalker already covered a lot of important details. I really like Neil's idea of locking the girl in your room. I never thought of that before but it would work like a charm.

When getting girls at soi cowboy, or shoring from insanity, or any place after 2am you have to worry about getting shit stolen. These girls are hardened and have no problem stealing shit from a guy they just met. Just follow the previous advice and all should be good.

When you start picking up girls from clubs before 2am like RCA, Demo, or girls you meet in the daytime your chances of getting something stolen is about 95% less. However what will increase dramatically will be the drama. Now these girls have a vested interest in you and their emotions are involved. Shit can get psycho real quick if you fuck a good girl multiple times over the course of a few weeks/months.

Something that I found was incredibly important if you lived in a condo building that had a security guy/door man was to become good buddies with him. There will be a day when you break it off with one of your regulars and her crazy ass will try her hardest to beat down your door at 3am when you are trying to pound away at sweet little 20 year old uni student. This of course will cause massive drama and fucking ruin your night.

Once I started becoming friendly with the door man everything changed. I used to ask him to run over to 7/11 and grab me something and then I would tip him an extra 100 baht and his eyes would light up. I would also tell him directly no girls can come up unless I come get them. Yes it is a pain in the ass each time to go downstairs and get them but it can save you a shit ton of drama if you do.

@Fisto I hope their is a locked gate you have to go through before they can get to your door. If so be sure you lock it every time. If not then be prepared for the night when one of your past hook ups comes beating down your door. It will happen.

Your first few months will be all about how to safely hide your shit and keep bitches from stealing shit. Eventually it will be how to minimize all the drama. Because I promise the drama will come.

One tip on the phone… If you get an iphone all your contacts are saved in the cloud automatically and so even if your phone gets stolen you will still have all your numbers. Even the numbers you go that same night.

Losing debit cards and being stranded for cash scares the hell out of me. I have had it happen before in India. Now, I make sure I got 3 different cards and leave another card at home with family in case I need them to western union me some money.

Damn some crazy shit. I miss BKK big time!
Good safety tips BB and Neil. However, most of the problems would be averted by staying at a relatively nice (not posh but still decent) hotel with an electronic safe in your room. I always leave all the valuables there (passport, real wallet with the credit card and debit card and cash and laptop) when I'm out. My second wallet containing only the cash for the day/night and the BTS card along with the phone, stays in the front pocket of the jeans/shorts I'm wearing. And when I bring girls, I never leave the girls alone in the room at any time. Always be there, always request them to shower together (more fun and let them bathe you and fool around in the shower=way more fun... ). And when I sleep, the wallet and phone stay under my pillow.

Good thing that you found your debit card Fisto otherwise you'd have been in a kind of stressful position for a few days.

So how do you like BKK so far Fisto, after what? 1 or 2 weeks already? Would be fun to see you post a comparison between BKK and the DR when you get the chance. One trap to be careful of is that of having such a blast in BKK that you barely get out of it and not explore the rest of the country. There are some awesome places, heavenly beaches, tranquil and serene mountain/country side. Happened to me as I barely left BKK till the very end where I had to literally drag my ass out of BKK to spend a week in Phuket so that I can at least see that.

Get 1 or 2 hot cool chicks and head the beaches with them and let them be your guide and your servants and play toys.

Last night:

Went to tesco lotus and picked up some more stuff for my apartment and got an iPhone 4 for about 12000 baht. It's then we realized the best way to try to negotiate that deal is when one guy is in his cab. He's not going to get out and leave his can and he doesn't have 5 of his buddies around to try and impress.

We got into the taxi and this guy was cool with the deal.

We also agreed that there was a small part of us that actually wanted the fight to go down. Obviously it's better that it didn't.

I second, what Vicious said above about shoring in Thailand. They already have some resentment from westerners
being rich in comparison- so they really don't get the concept of 'love is free' (even if they agree to it beforehand).

I met a British guy at Soi Cowboy who was a living in BKK. We talked and I asked him how many times a night do these real good looking girls at Bacara go out on Short Time a night. He told me that the best ones are all doing 3 or 4 guys a night. Good night last night. Having lots of fun with Fisto THC and Science awesome guys to roll with. A few words of wisdom from my perspective.

Koh San Road is to be avoided. It is a long ass taxi ride from Sukhumvit and the crowd is shit.

If you want to start banging normal girls you need to be at RCA or Thonglor/Ekamai clubs. If you strike out there, then you can check out insanity after 2am.

Going to RCA and Thonglor/Ekamai can be kind of a pain in the ass because of the way the clubs are set up. Here was my strategy at RCA...

Go with a group of 3+ guys around 10:30pm and grab a table outside near one of the exits so that people are walking by all the time and you can view the talent and chat them up. Share a bottle and mixers between you guys. Know that if you do not finish your bottle you can check it in and they will keep it and give you a card where you can get that same bottle anytime for the next month. So never feel required to finish it.

If it is a weekend the inside will be packed to an annoying level of people. You need to make your rounds slowly trying to find a girl you fancy. The approach is simple... Just cheers them with your glass. You can judge their response to you pretty quickly and decide if you should stay or move on. I will often times hangout and do silly stuff with them like play thumb wars and stupid shit. I have found the best strategy is to treat them like my 6 year old niece. I will tell them I have to go hang out with my friends and leave after 5 mins. 90% of the time they will stay in the same place all night because they have a bottle they do not want to leave so you can always come back later. You can then do this all around the club with lots of different groups of girls.

Go back outside to get away from the mayhem and let another one of the guys in your group make a round while you sit and chill and get a new drink. On the next round through go back to the girls you liked and hang out a little bit longer with them and then grab their numbers. You should be able to get several numbers in a night.

Now when 1am starts to roll around it is time to pick the one or two girls you are most interested in taking home that night and working your magic. Try your best to get her to come hang out at your table away from her group. If you can get her to leave her group that is a big step forward. The group mentality is strong in RCA.

When it gets close to 2am is when you strike. My default plan was to tell her about this amazing street food that she has to try. Build it up like it is the best thing on earth and that it is a secret blah blah blah... 90% of the work is done if you can get her into a taxi with you. Then of course you just take her to what ever street food stall is closest to where you live.

While you are eating street food hype up something in your room that she has to see as an excuse to get to the room. If she makes it to your room then 99% of the work is done. In all my time in BKK only 1 girl did not sleep with me once I got her to my room. The whole challenge is just to get them in your room.

My closing rate at RCA for girls I met the same night to getting them to my condo was only around 20%. Not really that high. But what happens with all those numbers? Well almost all of the girls at RCA go at least a couple times a month. So a few SMS with them during the week and then when you show up to grab your bottle at RCA again you have 3 or 4 girls excited to hang out with you.

Over the course of a month or so every time you go to RCA you will have several girls excited to see you and then your chances of bringing a girl home each night goes above 50% depending on your game. And it gets higher and higher as time goes on.

Yeah 7/11 is a good idea. If you could pull them from the club for just 10 mins to run over to 7/11 to grab some water and then go back is really smart. The biggest challenge is just to get them comfortable with leaving their group even if just for a few minutes. Venue changing is much harder at thai clubs because everyone has bottles.

Yeah, shoring and playing around with pros/semi pros gets old real fast. Guys should venture outside the Sukhumvit nightlife and aim for the "normal" Thai girls as it has been mentioned previously in this post.

My personal favorite is Thong Lor for dinner somewhere, then Demo followed by Safehouse after 2am.

You will see a huge place called SNOP plus there are several other clubs behind it. THC, Science, and myself bought a ticket for 180 baht and a 2 hour drive later we are in Huahin. We got a hotel within walking distance of everything and then hit trusty old 711 for vodka and m-150.
