All this casual nonsense was labelled positive when it was deemed favourable to women and 'empowering'. Now that the chickens have come home to roost it's all framed pejoratively. No surprises there then. Men's feelings are discarded and treated as utterly unimportant.

What this article documents is the decline of American women (and their value as long-term mates) due to the long-term effects of feminism--which we speak ad naseum here on the forum and elsewhere--but from the perplexed, Hamsterized other side of the fence.

It's fascinating to read while periodically adding our commentary, which looks like this:

Line of incomplete analysis...bullshit...blah..blah..

RE: The end of dating
I actually broke down and read it.

This stuck out to me as very true:

Quote:A much-publicized study by Reach Advisors, a Boston-based market research group, found that the median income for young, single, childless women is higher than it is for men in many of the country’s biggest cities (though men still dominate the highest-income jobs, according to James Chung, the company’s president). This may be one reason it is not uncommon to walk into the hottest new West Village bistro on a Saturday night and find five smartly dressed young women dining together — the nearest man the waiter. Income equality, or superiority, for women muddles the old, male-dominated dating structure.

Restaurant Game, fools.

RE: The end of dating
Does your restaurant game consist of posting at the restaurant bar and sending a round of drinks over to a table of women in the dining room? I'd like to incorporate this into my night routine in that 8-10p window where the happy hour people are clearing out before it is time to hit the clubs but the only times I'm in fairly nice restaurants are when I'm on a date. How would you begin an approach in this case?

Couldn't agree more its all about how the women feel, forget the men they are just here to please women and they are not pleasing women. This dating culture or lack of it is mens fault, women are always innocent. Angel

G, I'd like to see you work your magic at a little place in west hollywood called Eveleigh. Just met a girl there 2 nights ago actually.

I've never seen a venue so chock-full of "fly girls" as you'd put it. I'm never one for hyperbole, but 2 nights ago the ratio must have been 5:1, no joke. There were tables of 8 hotties all having dinner with each other, no guys in sight. I've never seen anything else like it in L.A. The problem is all the girls are sitting down and eating.

I've gotten a couple notches from approaches tables of 4 or smaller, but it's hard man, SUPER hard. They do have an outdoor area for smoking but not many girls head out there, and the bar doesn't have that same 5:1 ratio.

You'd have to see it and break down a strategy.

STK and Gotham is great restaurant game on Sobe.

Capital Grille and Trulucks are my main jam now. Post up at the bar and listen to the Piano man break it down at Trulucks. FRESH FRESH seafood even better steak.

This is exactly the issue that I'd love to see G break down.

Places I habit have approach-friendly layouts.

Area 31 has a bar inside and outside so all the traffic goes through the dining room and its easy to approach.

STK on sobe has a huge bar area in the middle of the restaurant with dining surrounding and in the back making it easy to approach if you get eye contact from a surrounding table while at the bar.

Zuma's circular bar surrounded by tables that face the bar is a pretty dope setup as well.

My all time favorite setup is STK in meatpacking. Talent all around, bar is hopping regardless, great vibe, and I was dining next to Patrick Ewing scooping girls walking by my table. Helped I had a winggirl that night as well...

My most successful approaches were opinion openers commenting on what they had to eat, other specials, and what I generally enjoyed on the menu. Then segue into what they are getting into that night.

Last time I was at STK I number crunched 3 hotties seated a table finishing up their dinner. I told them to meet me at Mynt. 2 hours later I was making out with her next to the DJ booth. I was running really good that night though...

RE: The end of dating
Reviving this with a little breakdown of restaurant game last night.

Eating at Doraku in Brickell with a coworker and a friend. Saki is flowing, rolls on the way.

Turns out this fly waitress went to highschool with me. Small world. Asked me what I do, ran my standard story, she handed me her phone and went to the kitchen. Needless to say I had a little fun with that...

Anyways, fly group of 3 girls 4 tables away, one is eyeing me. I get up, and go over to their table.

"Excuse me ladies, my friends and I over here (pointing) were having a heated debate about cold vs. hot sake... Your thoughts?" <smile>

***Opinion opener has yet to fail me!

Blah blah depends on the weather, we like cold...

"Interesting, cold saki = cold hearted?"

"Hahah, depends on the company" <she's smiling looking into my eyes knew I had it>
Check!

"Good to know, you know what they say... the better the conversation the better the...."

<laughs>

"I have to get back to my friends, and the spicy tuna roll is calling me, we'll talk later"

As they're leaving I say "Hold on, I don't normally do this but I thought you were cute and since we are somewhat neighbors (she's from the area) we should grab drinks sometimes, cold of course..."

Hands me her phone.

Checkmate.
