I'm sure a lot of us have had a moment like this, when some bitch said something to you that one extra thing and unwittingly forced your hand to break the blister pack and take the red pill. Not only do you dump her-ass, you go on to be a thorn in the side of every other woman like her.

I could write a whole essay on this whole incident, but this is the big take-away: never put up with a woman who doesn't have enough respect (or, at least tact) to not insult your family in front of you. She doesn't have to like them, but if she she feels license to talk shit about them openly--especially giving them demeaning labels--it's only a matter of time before that becomes you too.

The whole "you need to sell all of your dad's shit to pay for MY wedding" was what really struck me. His dad is barely in the ground, having died suddenly and brutally, and all she can think about was how that could profit her. Those things were his dad's legacy - she should have shut her fuckin' mouth. It wasn't her place to even suggest what he should do with his dad's things, especially since they weren't even married yet. I'm glad he made the decision on her quickly, and moved on with his life the next day. Bravo my man.

timoteo my sentiments exactly. once she said that it was apparent, even though ive never met her, that she believes the whole universe revolves around her. so if someone has different beliefs that are offensive to her thats a problem. if her boyfriend refuses to sell his father´s hierlooms thats a problem. at no point until her boyfriend started to stand up for himself did she shift her emotions from being an entitled bitch to actually caring about how he might be feeling. and even then it felt like her concern was forced in a way to get him back on board with her life plans i.e. big wedding and marriage. this guy should be a shinning example to all those beta whipped guys in relationships.

Maintaining hand with a live in is tough - women are programmed to own a man's balls. She didn't want him to have those cars, because cars are a token of attractiveness to other girls. Sure, she called it about a culture of misogyny, but it's really about a culture of being free to attract and fuck girls.

It's a woman's job to cut off his options. Feed him until he has a gut. Cut him off from his friends. Generally lower his T.

That's why it's so tricky, and why men need many external supports to maintain hand. Being the sole bread winner and taking on very old fashioned views towards being the leader helps. But even planning to marry gives the girl way too much entitlement. All of a sudden there is a "we" that makes decisions. And to a woman, "we" is she.

"Come back so we can settle this", she said, as he was driving away from her entitled aggression. Settle being code for do what I say. Settle being code for we have to agree to be a partnership, and not just be selfish. Meaning - do what SHE wants.

Being an individuated man in the leadership role is difficult, in the best of setups. But women have no restraint on their sense of entitlement and control if you give them the idea that you will marry them and give up your right to leave her at a drop of a hat.

Also, I wonder if an expensive wedding isn't another ploy to make a man less sexually attractive to other women. With less disposable money, he'll have less options, need to work harder and so have less free time, and be less attractive.

Really we can't fault women for trying to keep men from having the options to stray. It's their instinct. What women don't get though is that its risky to use the stick. It's better to be all carrot. Appear to enjoy his hobbies, to be part of his world. Be enjoyable to be around. Show up at his car shows and fend off the other women.

This guy did the right thing by bailing. I've seen so many times---guys I play softball and football with having to quit because they have to spend that time with their wives. See this is what women don't get; men need their own spaces, their own places that they can go once in a while where they don't have to deal with women, but of course, it's never allowed because women just invade them, but we need to just get away from it all sometimes. I will also add; Any woman who constantly says 'You need to do_______', bitch please...any woman anywhere lecturing any man, anywhere, about responsibility is hilariously ironic. You know why I don't listen to women, and only pretend to listen to my mother?
