A little background: I just turned 20 and I'm an examplary alpha male. I've had a girlfriend for over a year now. She's the only person I ever have had sex with (she was also a virgin before she met me).

Admittedly, I jumped in a monogamously defined relationship too eager (after a month), even before I had had sex with her. But, for a 18 year old boy who gets his dick caressed by a pretty girl for the first time, I think many of you can relate to it.

I met her quickly after I learned about game. I picked up speed really quick because I basically had my life in order except for a white knight attitude (good looks don't hurt).

I systematically attacked all my weaknesses at age 18-19 by reading and practicing voraciously. Sex, weight lifting, dressing well, body language, interesting lifestyle, game.

The girl is almost perfect as a girlfriend (with roissy-like relationship game employed, of course); genuinely feminine, petite with a great ass, fun to be around, great sex, etc. I love her.

Now I long for change. I hate the lifestyles of my parents, her parents, almost everyone in the age category 40+. They just sit in front of the television, working 9-5 and booking expensive holidays twice a year. But no one seems to live life to the fullest. I've totally disposed the idea of marrying.

Knowing what's possible, I know I'm fully capable of enjoying a rich variety of girls. I would need another month or two to up my practical game skill, but that's it.

I think you can compress the whole story in these sentences: I've learned game / lifestyle and internalised it. As a consequence I feel like Aragorn trying out a reforged Narsil for the first time, and I'm considering to break up with a perfectly feminine girlfriend to seek relations with multiple girls.

Young "alphas" know that when you're in very early adulthood, you're banging whatever you like that moves. Young "alphas" don't lock themselves to ball-and-chain relationships nor do they pedestalize anything at that age as "perfect".

I know 'alphas' who are in long term monogomous relationships. Having a perfect girlfriend is probably as much as a bloke could answer for. If she is indeed perfect which is unlikely.The grass is often greener on the other side but I would say give it some time to work things out with this girl, you're very young and chances are you'll split up anyway by then you'll still have plenty of time to shag around. But if you're happy then why change it? Obviously if you're not happy then you know what to do already.

I don't appreciate the tone of your reaction, but I agree the Aragorn line was uncalled for. And I shouldn't have used the word perfect, either.

With 'perfect' I ment that there is barely anything to wish for on her side, and that's why I am in a dilemma: having a girlfriend is the problem, not the girlfriend itself. I wanted to stress that.

Also, I do not agree that "alphas" are necessarily not in a long term relationship.

I'm essentially looking for input on the pros and cons of having a girlfriend, but I realize this question is very hard to answer (in any case by myself).

Don't listen to guys who say that you are no alfa if your goal in life is not searching and sleeping with new women all the time. It is perfectly fine to be in a LTR if you have other goals in life. The queastion is does your relationship allow you to pursue these other goals? In your young age attaining the best education possible should be the top priority, but not only academical education. Life experiance is also extreamly important. You must acquire experiances that will kep you an interesting man as you age. You should travel a lot, read a lot of books, exercise heavy to reach your maximum before you start to age. You should meet a lot of people and build connections and friendships that will help you trough your life and in this regerd it is extreamly important to meet men too, not just women, because women are for pleasure but men are for common projects and buisness.

Now you must realize that in your age traveling to wherever you please to get life experiance is probably more important than staying home to be with your girl. Maybe you will be a part of a student exchange program or maybe you want to go to China and train with Shaolin moks for a year or few? Would she let you go easily? Would you skip such opportities to add value to yourself just to sit home with a girl? The correct action for you would be to go and she can wait if she wants. But would you trust her that she was faithful to you after you return?

Would you be ready if she got pregnant suddenly? Would you have time enough to raise the kid and continue developing yourself? Do you earn enough? If you are not ready then you shouldn't be in a serious relationship.

Are you an american or do you come from a culture that has a more healthy relationship culture? If you are not an american or from another anglo country then you must take the advice found here but do not take the extra jaded attitude. For most guys in this forum no woman will ever be good enough and they will trust no one, because their women are bitches. If you are not from anglosphere then a lifetime LTR of high quality might be an option for you just make sure it doesn't consume your life and leaves you a place for other things. And by other things I don't mean a PUA lifestyle, nobody should have women as only interest in your life ever as it is just marginally beter than dedicating your life to mastrubation.

Next time try posting an honest question without all the validation-seeking.

As an experienced guy who has been in your position: Just tell her you want to fuck other girls. She'll either drop you, be okay with you fucking other girls (while she fucks other guys), or she'll bring a girl in for a threesome.

Thanks for the reply. I'm disappointed with how I conveyed myself --- like a douche. It really distracted from the main issue.

I realise I've read enough about the lifestyle, a few more comments won't change much. I will think about it, then make a decision.

No, you are the problem. I dont want to sound corny but the key to happiness is being satisfied with what you have. Celtic_Austrian is spot on, the OP claims to be Alpha but spends half the thread apologising for Beta behaviour, I'm convinced that if you feel the need to announce that you are Alpha you are either trolling or are Beta. The OP comes across as a bit cringy. If this girl's so great, why would you think twice about not wanting to be with her?

You love your girlfriend and it's doing well? Here's what you do : stay with her as long as you can, because a good relationship is good for you. But your goal is to keep doing what you're doing, get better at life and to not settle yet. If you want to taste other girls, you can just do it without her knowing.

There will be a point where she realizes that you're not all that comitted and she will start to try to ensnare you. This will start to get in your way and she will start to slow you down : more dinners, more family shit etc. She will be anxious because she will smell that you're not in it for the long term. At this point you will have to make a decision to leave her or stay with her. But in the mean time? Enjoy it.

I'll give the boy a break and the benefit of the doubt. He's 20, relatively young and naive, and this is his first girlfriend.

Here is some advice I wish I had gotten when I was in high school: The grass is always greener. You say you have a great girlfriend but you are itching to see other prospects. Eventually that itch will need to be scratched and you will either break up with her or cheat.

Then while you are out banging other chicks, after a while that starts to get old and you will crave that one sweet girl you can have a deep emotional connection with. You will subconsciously screen for girls who have girlfriend qualities and end up in a relationship that you can emotionally connect.

Then the cycle starts all over again.

The problem in being 20 is you think of yourself as being top of the teenage food chain.

This guy might be among the alpha twenty year olds, because a lot of young guys don't get it until they're past twenty. It isn't until you're a bit older that you realise you're a 'man' and thus in competition with guys in their late twenties, thirties, and the old-timers that have seen it all.

Also, when you get out of your teens the competition for the same girls increases. When you're 20, then girls 16-20 will be your target market, and guys in their 30's won't touch a lot of them. When you and the girls in your peer group hit their twenties, you'll be competing for girls that every man will be trying to get.

I don't blame the OP though, everyone goes through it.
