I have heard/read a lot here on how some afro-latins have issues with dating blacks from america and that black americans get more play out of lighter-skinned latinas and that some of the afro-latinas look to get with white or lighterskinned gringoes in order to marry "up". That's why I asked.

If you are black the best answer to your question is too see for yourself. Thats what im planning on doing withn a year or so. Im sure every brasil mama wont feel me, but if 20 out of 100 do im good. And people try to "date up" lol if you call it that in any county with multiple demographics. I think its more of personall prefence thing determined by attraction experiecnces and etc.
