I was in the Navy for fleet week in San Francisco.

I was drinking at a bar and this large girl was hitting on me. I couldnt really tell how big she was from where I was sitting as I was on one corener of the bar and she was technically next to me but arounf the corner of the bar if that makes sense.

So we decide to go to another place and when she stood up she was really big. Now i was worried.

Sp we went to another bar around the corner that had free popcorn.

i went to the bathroom and was wondering how I was going to make my escape. Hell, I had no idea where she lived but I was picturing getting stuck in the middle of nowhere with this girl and was wracking my brain.

So I come out of the bathroom and she has a newspaper spread out across the table and is shovelling popcorn in as fast as she can. That was it for me.

I told her I left my navy hat back at the last bar and will be right back.

hit the ground running and never looked back.

And by navy hat you really meant dignity. Haha. I commend you sir. It's tough, but ejecting is always best. Done it many times. I love the laugh that comes over me after I'm safely two blocks away.

At this point, I'm doing everything in my power to not burst out laughing. I look around me and everyone is struggling to either ignore the whales or keep their shit together. The manager comes back and gives them a full nutritional chart which they start studying. They start loudly calculating how the calories and sugar translate into their point system. Five minutes later, the leader stands up and says, "We can't eat here, nothing on the menu is under 700 points."

What happened next was one of my top five laughs of my life. As the tears were rolling down my cheek the whales quietly shuffled out of the restaurant.

Man, good times.

When 50% of the dating pool of women is removed, the resulting increase in male competition and the insane effort required to bag a half decent-looking woman means that even slim plain Janes are now priced like 8s and 9s in terms of their SMV. Fatness, along with feminism, are the two single biggest factors that have ruined the dating market for men in the West. In fact, it's because of the epidemic of obesity that an average woman is now becoming a luxury item for many men in the Anglosphere.

This is not just a symptom of fat women. Fat men do it too. Think about if you were fat though.

A plate of your one true love is delivered right in front of you. The intoxicating aroma of a large plate of chicken Alfredo, diet coke and chocolate cake with fat free cool whip on top fills your nostrils.

Tension builds as this plate is right infront of you but you don't want to dig in immediately to set the wrong impression. You wait for the waiter to leave. The wait felt like an eternity but is finally over. A twinkle sparkles in your eye now. Your one true love is all yours.

You savor this moment and gently hold a fork full of chicken Alfredo infront if your face. You just admire it for a few more seconds then ahhhh. The tension is released and you are on it like a school of piranha.

Next thing you know the food is gone. It has been minutes but felt like only a moment. Your true love is gone like that and even though you just ate enough for 2 people you still feel empty inside because you lost your true love and made yourself even fatter.

Case in point: Today I was back in my old college town and met up with a friend in a casual blue-collar Italian eatery.

Back in the day, I remember going in there and not being able to focus because there were so many good-looking girls around. They'd wear crazy little summer shirts that said things like "Party Naked With Me" (actual vintage shirt -- not making this up!) or they would just sit in the booths in tiny halter tops with jeans shorts.

Today, I was surrounded by scarily obese women and odd-looking young-ish girls who would have been considered fat outliers back in the old days. To make matters worse, some of them had tattoos all over their plump arms. WTF?!! I wonder if that costs extra?

Anyway, the obesity epidemic does affect us all. I had it in the back of my mind that maybe I could go back to my old stomping grounds and chat up some hotties like I did when I was 21. No go. These are women I'd avoid talking to if they opened me.

It's been said you can't go home again. What they didn't tell you is you can't because your old house was apparently eaten by the locals.

Random tangent but was thinking of this today. Because I had to out it in use.

The only thing fat women are good for is to kill a semi at the gym.

So when you're flipping through RVF while warming up on an elliptical machine and you stumble across a hot pic. And your other brain starts doing stupid shit. Look for a fatty. There is always a fat woman at the gym. The semi relaxes and for once in your life you'll be thankful that a fat chick exists.

I definitely would not watch a fat woman eat. My senses would be overloaded with pain.

Quick story:

A town I used to work in had been fighting for a new hospital for the last 25 years, as the original was pre-war and was drastically-undersized for the size of the town. Waiting lists for non-critical Operations (knee / back surgery) can be as long 3-4 years.

Years of advocacy did nothing, luckily former Prime Minister Julia Gillard was forced to allocate funding to previously-ignored regional hospitals to get regional politican Bob Kattan on board with her to win her stalemate federal election a few years back.

A new hospital was announced, with 30 more beds promised.

Millions of dollars were spent, the opening is almost announced, until a helpful outside Contractor noted that none of the wards or beds are rated for Bariatric Care, as Professional Fat Advocates have been raising a stink over this in the health service lately. Bariatric Care is what is becoming required for 'Overweight, Obese and Morbidly Obese Patients' out of the standard PC Tantrum throwing.

Since matriarchal Institutions like the Health Service will always comply with hurt feelings, a ward with 8 Bariatric Beds was then created. Unfortunately, each Bariatric Care Bed costs in expense and staff resources 7 times what a standard hospital bed costs, and, as such, corners had to be cut somewhere else.

As such, the town's populace has now discovered there are now twenty less beds for non-Bariatric patients than in the old hospital, and waiting times will be longer than before. This has become a huge political embarrassment, but, as the government doesn't need rural votes any more, nothing will be done.

Given the rapid population increase in the town since the hospital redevelopment began due to large waves of Somalian, Indian, Asian and Middle-Eastern immigration, I don't see how the health system won't simply fail within 10 more years.

Cultural obesity is everyone's problem.

Fat people are often highly knowledgeable regarding nutritional content, caloric intake, and all sorts of food stats. What they lack is the willpower to go through with their stupid diets. I see fatties in the gym doing the stairmaster for 30 minutes and then heading over to Applebee's right after to get their fix.

Fattie: "How do you stay so lean?"
TigerMand: "I skip meals"
Fattie: "Oh no, that's bad for you. They say you should eat 6 small meals per day."

I bust my ass doing physical labor all day, go back to the hotel and hit the gym, and at least one day a week will then hit a hibachi buffet and load a couple plates with cheap protein and veggies and watch morbidly obese locals who haven't touched a dead weight other than their bulging gut in their lives load up their plates with general Tso's deep fried chicken and pizza. It turns on the FOB waitresses when they see a white boy eating healthy.

Fatties are skilled at subversion in stuffing their faces with calories. They "snack" in public and casually munch on little peices of food they may or may not have high calories.

Fatties are always the first to parade a salad around at lunch as another way to fool you into thinking they eat normal foods.

When they leave to another transition of their day they will reload in calories. So from work to home she is buying some fatty meal, or will eat cake at a Starbucks or some shut. They will bring food home and lure the roommate into eating some with them for deflection. Then after its snacking until bedtime. They may have only had "3 meals" but all that snacking in between likely was around 1500 calories while her meals and drinks were another 1500-2000 calories.

Women in general always like to nibble on foods. Always done shit from strait up candy, or a mandarin orange if she is conscious about her weight. I never really understand it but maybe food to women is what sex is for men but that is to simplistic as a man has to put forward some effort to get laid. What effort goes into opening a bag of crackers and a block of cheese?

Then a few years ago, I shared a room with a fat girl after a concert. She made a lot of the strange comments that many fat girls make: she hardly ever eats, she has finnicky taste buds, etc.

Around 1:00am, I heard a chomping sound coming from her bed. She was curled up next to a few bags of assorted snacks: pretzels, cookies, etc. There she was, chomping down hundreds of calories right before bed. It was illuminating to me, seeing how the habits of the obese are often hidden.

All of the fat girls in my office are the worst. They'll go on these crazy crash diets for a week and only drink juice or something. They'll lose some weight but then gain it all back after the diet, and go back to their normal, disgusting eating habits. Then complain how it's so hard for them to lose weight.

I used to date a girl who always complained about how hard it was for her to lose weight. Yet she never worked out and would always have sugary coffee drinks and other fatty foods. Women don't seem to understand the concept that if you workout regularly and eat somewhat healthy then you will lose weight. As long as I workout I can pretty much eat or drink whatever I want and I'll stay the same weight and maintain current physique.

My comment is based on the fact that practically everyday there's a bevy of new threads focused solely on fat women. I don't care about fat women simply because their fatness has no effect on my life.

Jariel, not everyone is a highroller like yourself or Christian McQueen or a globetrotter like Roosh where venues do the screening for you. The majority of guys are just starting their careers fresh from university, like I am, or are already established and want to hack it here so that one day they can minimize their exposure to skrillex-haired and fat women. Until then, these fat whales are everywhere and we have to chart our course very delicately to avoid fat-PTSD.

Even if you're filthy rich, you can't just waste hours at the red light. Every major city has fucked up levels of traffic. If you walk or take public transportation anywhere in the U.S. at all, you're going to see them everywhere.

But I get that it's tiring to be reminded of their existence. These threads are all about venting, maybe we should have a dedicated fat people thread to vent in? Either post there about fatties or not at all, unless it's about an influential publication (say, a research paper goes viral, or a fat-shamer wrecks fat-acceptance feminists on national television) and not about a member's everyday run-in with them.
