I only recently watched "Pumping Iron" for the first time. My one thought after it was over was that, if I had seen that movie when it came out, I would have run out into the streets shouting "I want to buy shares in Arnold Schwarzenegger Inc. right now!" It's rare to see such a bold and forthright example of focus, drive and ambition, coupled with the work to make it happen.

So in this case, instead of white knighting for a meaningless event like the Special Olympics, he should be worrying as a leader about the environmental factors that are leading to the explosion of mental problems like autism, problem which Trump has had the courage to tackle. Instead of rallying with his Republican president, Schwarzenegger is undermining him, either out of his own stupidity or as a shill for the oligarchs.

I second your agreement. Arnold turned out like Jesse Ventura in MN. He started strong and put a lot of good measures on the ballot in CA. Then the teachers unions, prison guard unions etc. tore him apart with advertising against his ballot measures. Basically Arnie is going to push grandma off the cliff etc etc. He lost on the ballot measures and after that just decided hr didn't have the stones for the political fight against the leftists. It's quite sad but I guess he never really cared that much about limited government and draining the swamp.

Which brings us to Trump. Trump is a real American original who holds frame and doesn't puss out when the swamp starts up with their standard operating b.s. I can't believe that he has the stones he does. Puts the Arnolds and Jesse Venturas in perspective. I just hope he keeps it up and doesn't start with the whole wanting and needing to be liked mentality that ruined Arnold and Jesse V's attempts at reform.

I have no doubt that he sees trough most of SJW hypocrisy but plays along for the money, status and fame. He is one of the few people so iconic and popular that he could make a stand for the right thing and not be silenced, but he chooses not to.

His inspirational videos promote hard work and confidence as reasons to success but the true tools that lead to his own exceptional success were the right connections, Machiavellian strategy, being strongly P and not J in Mayers-Briggs and good skill in AMOG.

I am not a hater, would sometimes myself use some lightly Machevillian stuff in a dog-eat-dog world, but I do not idolize this guy. Since his time, things have changed and it is impossible to repeat his path. Any guy willing to fallow what Arnie did would discover that today you need even more steroids, need even syntol, need even more shady connections and need even more conformism and lies to achieve even one quarter of the worldy success that Arnie managed to achieve in his time.

Sounds like a bunch of "hate, hate, hate" to me.

1. Do you have any proof? And if it's just from being a male stripper who cares...

2. Body builders in his era still looked good. Admittedly bigger than I want to be but still good proportional. Way before they were giant freaks like in the 2000s.

3. Bullshit. One of the first to admit it, yes. One of the first to do. Bullshit. Warriors have been using "performance enhancing drugs" since they were first discovered. Just because it's not traditional steroids doesn't mean it doesn't help you win.

4. Would you rather be inspired by greatness or just average?

5. Getting in competitors' heads. Have you ever played sports? That's common across the board in just about every competition. You let them beat themselves.

I explained why my opinion stops short of hate in my original post. If you want to ignore what I wrote that I have no way to convince you of anything. It's not that I care anyway about what you think. Sorry for not worshiping your idol.

I only wish to explain one point more explicitly. You will not get the success today by fallowing Arnie's path from that time. You will also not get success by listening to his advice as opposed to watching carefully what he actually does. This is true of any celebrity.

I like Arnie... I think he went full SJW to get back in the game when he was ostracized for doinking the maid. It's like checking yourself into the Betty Ford Clinic, kissing the ring of Sharpton or donating to Rainbow Push. There are certain hoops one must jump through once one has sinned against Hollywood. A sin against his wife Maria Shriver (Kennedy) is a mortal Hollywood sin.
