Of course, it would be nice if someone else could save you the time by relaying their experiences to you, but that just isn't going to work much of the time. Tenerife, what you are saying is all good in theory. However, there are so many countries to pick from and most guys here dont have the time and money to go exploring all over the world.

So, I find Forum consensus a good tool to gage whether I will visit a country or not. Of course one should also do his own research, make decisions based on past experiences and honestly assess what his strengths and weaknesses are.

Consensus is still valuable, especially when it's driven by hard facts, and data people glean from going HARD in those respective places for months, and when multiple members of this type agree on a number of things. I find your posts valuable because you do that.

And yes, if you don't have much time to travel, then you will be at a loss. basically, you have to go through the "trial and error" process with countries.

What I find dumb is when people ask about which languages to learn, based on which areas are better for women/lifestyle. There really is no excuse for that. If you spend 1-3 years learning a language without knowing what that target area is like, you're making an unwise choice. Anyone deciding to learn a certain language should travel for at least a month in that area before making a further investment of time and energy.

It is truly amazing. I had pipelined and talked to old acquaintances in both Brazil and Bangkok the last few days. Most Brazilians have become noticeably negative, stating that "Brazilian men are scum" etc etc etc... even though I am a foreigner this rings alarm bells with me. Women in Rio (I do not claim to venture far out so cannot speak as to whether it is a Rio only problem) seem outright anti-male now. I should have known it would be like this when they introduced female-only subway carts a few years back!
In contrast, Bangkok girls speak less English but I am already asked to go on a trip to the beach, have 2 girls offering to pick me up at the airport and three solid dates for the weekend. This on top of my regular from my last trip who is going to take 2 days off to "help me recover from the long flight". How are you going to argue with a girl that brings you fruit every other time she meets you at your room, says thank you after you have done to her what would be considered dicey in some porn movies and folds, cleans and tidies up your room while you shower after sex? Cariocas might have nicer bodies but their attitude cannot compare to what Asia throws at you with full fists... not to speak of the violence and higher prices in Rio versus Bangkok.

A country with little attention tends to have the best outcome for anyone. As the number of travelers increase so don't the local interations with us. Are level of enjoyment is an inverse relationship to the level of tourism seen by that country. If you are the only american male that has been seen in a town in 10 years your value is near 100 if there are 100 seen everyday you have a value much lower. Also the bad news increases due to the number of travelers going there. One has a bad experience and the whole world knows about it with today's technology. The only country that seems to overcome this inverse relationship is costa rica.

asia is for sure way way better. don't mind it being a lot cheaper, a lot safer and services being much better

i've spent this year in new zealand and now i'm back in south america. during my stay in NZ i had ventured to asia too so can compare based on fresh memory

Ooooohhhhhh.....yes, I agree with that. Dominican Republic and Panama has taken over for me because of shorter flights (even a nonstop from Dulles) and less of the USA-like traits has hit those areas.

I was planning to post on this thread just now and was scrolling down to read the comments and stopped right here. This is my EXACT sentiment. After going to DR this year I have no itch to return to Brazil. None at all. I don't even care about South America anymore. I would look at CO and BR as infrequent trips to make once in a while but prefer to make regular visits to DR. Considering the shorter flights, less of a cultural barrier to leap, and the DTF nature and attractiveness of the local women, I really can't see another country offering more bang for the buck. I regularly talk to girls from DR on Skype and Whatsapp and they are all about it man. It's so easy. I'm eying another run in January.

I like Panama as well but the locals don't hold a candle in quality to DR (though there are few gems here and there) but more importantly, they are not as DTF. Panama just isn't sensual like that Caribbean island but I still dig it. Panama is more livable and a supreme place for a location independent or remote lifestyle.

Don't get me wrong, Brazil and Colombia have the best talent pound for pound, especially the averages, but DR is a man's paradise.

for certain personal reasons (not related to women at all), i can't stand dominicana and dominicans. but the place is almost fuckfest as the philippines and yoy better cut it off if you don't get laid in dominicana

panama and costa rica are nice, ordered and livable places but definitely not worth a shot for women

Maestro, I would agree it is a lame excuse if your portuguese is decent. Like I said before, I still believe Brazil has a few more years left if you pick the right cities.

But in the forum, we talk about ROI when it comes to picking a country to go to. And going to Brazil is a pretty big investment for most members.

Brazil is just not delivering like before and for those whose portuguese is weak or non-existent, it will be very difficult. For them, it has nothing to do with excuses.

Jariel, the girls might throw it out like quarterbacks but have the physiques of linebackers... If someone likes fatties I am sure the US is heaven. For others there are places with better ratios of attractive slim women and better roi. The same goes for Brazil. Sure it can be gamed but why bother when there are countries which are easier, cheaper, more convenient... No one panics... It is simply a relative change. Brazil might be good but it is not what it used to be five years ago and there are better options. A Mercedes is a nice car but if you are used to a Ferrari it feels like a downgrade.

I think VP and I are on the same page. I really like Brazilian culture and for me the women are just the icing on the cake. I don't have any experience gaming girls in 2nd or 3rd tier cities since I didn't travel to any and I had a girlfriend most of my time in São Paulo. I'm interested in checking out Uberlândia in Minas Gerais when I go back. Many Brazilian men have nothing but good things to say about Mineiras.

As far as going to Rio and São Paulo you will need a good amount of money since these are expensive cities but in my opinion you can meet some sexy intelligent women in São Paulo. Also Brazilian women from my experience want to have a boyfriend and aren't too into one night stands. Also if you have limited Portuguese and you are a good looking dude with style then São Paulo will probably be your best bet.
