Agreed. He鈥檚 a solid actor and chooses great projects. 25th hour went under the radar for some reason, it鈥檚 an all time great though. The script was written by the creator of the Game of Thrones TV series, David Benioff, so no surprise it is so good.

First movie filmed in NYC post 9/11 too. And the only spike lee movie I'd ever watch.

I remember watching American History X and thinking "This is acting". I pretty much stopped watching major Hollywood blockbusters with "actors" like keanu Reeves, the Hemsworth brothers, Vince Vaughn etc. Those guys show up for a paycheck and regurgitate their lines. It's a sad fucking joke.

Mandy - another Nicholas Cage movie. This is most definitely a rental. Crazy Cage slaughters crazy bikers and cult. If you like Cage, might be worth it

I was pleasantly surprised to find the producers kept the globohomo messaging to a minimum. Though it is Freddie Mercury, you just can't have the story about Queen without it. It is very much there.

And it was interesting to see how far back it goes.
To me, it appeared that he wouldn't have turned gay if it wasn't presented to him. He had a girlfriend turned fiance, and in a more traditional society that isn't as depraved as ours, he would be married with kids.

Overall, I give it a B.

I just watched (for free) Bohemian Rhapsody, the Queen/Freddie Mercury biopic.

Before people say 'muh gay agenda', I'll just say that it was pretty well known that Freddie was gay (in fact I'm shocked people didn't pick it up sooner), and the movie did a good job keeping that in the background and making it more about the music and the growth of the band than his subsequent AIDS diagnosis and the gay lifestyle.

Rami Malek did an absolute bang-up job playing Freddie, singing like Freddie Mercury can't be easy but he nailed it.

But where the film struggles is that it didn't give too much backstory into the rest of the band, and the pacing was off - it was basically Freddie meets Smile, joins them, struggles a little and then all of a sudden they're writing the track the film is named for, then Freddie spirals out of control before the film ends with the performance at Live Aid (regardless of what you think about Live Aid - it's the reason we have brainless celebrities spouting SJW buzzwords and stances today).

Also playing is that while I like Queen, I don't love Queen - good band, but not nearly as good as say Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin, about equal to the Eagles, but definitely better than Aerosmith.

It wasn't as good as Straight Outta Compton or Walk the Line, but it was definitely entertaining enough to merit a watch. I would also give it about a solid B.

Nonpareil's top 10 most wanted biopics

10. The Beastie Boys
9. Red Hot Chili Peppers
8. Duran Duran
7. Motley Crue
6. Neil Young
5. Santana

Hey go easy on Keanu...at least he made some classics like Point Break, Matrix etc.....he is like Anthony Hopkins compared to the Hemsworth dbags....the are the male versions of Jennifer Lawrence and I bet they did plenty of couch casting

Gah, fucking Google...Can't get a straight answer, just 'he sang some of the time', 'he did most of the singing' to 'he did none of the singing'.

Regardless of who it was, that it still sounded basically like 80% Freddie shows how insane his voice was.

But again, the movie showing his AIDS as a result of his 'being irresponsible and kind of a dick' and not 'poor, unfortunate and so, so brave' was the biggest and best surprise.

I can second that. Going in I thought they were going to half-ass it with a bunch of computertronics but I was pleasantly surprised.

A quibble here or there but otherwise solid. Good, but not legendary.

Anyone see the nominations for best picture for the Oscars? I cannot believe black panther got nominated for best picture. Just shows you how much SJWs have ruined all awards. I am sorry but black panther was a mediocre a film. The villain was justified in almost every decision he made (His uncle killed his father and just left him abandoned in America). He also beat the black panther for the mantle even though there was outside interference for the black panther's favor (Forest Whitaker stepping into the fight and the other tribe saving the black panther from death when he is thrown over the waterfall). Just represented how Trump won the election but people kept protesting against him and he is not their president. Even the villain's was an SJW woke type person. Every dialogue that came from his mouth was about how black people are oppressed or how they were enslaved. I am tired of Hollywood always promoting the message that white people are oppressors when every nation is guilty.

I saw Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Not bad at all. The first half was excellent, it had a unique personality and great music themes. I actually thought that movie was going to be a masterpiece. But then the 2nd part was fucking boring they all started crying and the movie became complete shit.

She phones him back and says "I want you to fuck me who are you" he freaks out gets wasted and his fat neighbor comes to talk to him and get epsxeapk.site. He passes out and she feels him up. He wakes up, barfs and yells "what the fuck are you doing here get out"

If only losers would treat the women they wanted to bang like the women they did.t.

Next scene is this Russian dude running solid game. Dude did a next level maneuver and turned the thermostat down when he got into the chicks place. I'm using that one. Then he grabs her guitar and sings her a song, raw dogs her then as soon as he busts he gets up and leaves.

Holy shit. the chick was a teacher. Turns out the dude pretends to be a Russian immigrant and bangs all of the teachers. This is too awesome.

I got turned back to John Wick (number one) by the good fellow John Mark.

My initial assessment and judgement of the movie remains the same (as it was those long years ago):

A terribly bad script of "one-itis" gone bad (and spare me the "matrix" colorizations). However, the gunplay is dancingly good but not realistic. 6/10 -- WWAWAFTLAA (Would Watch Again With A Friend To Laugh At Again).

Fucking here we go..

This looks shit.. but the reviews are saying that it is Oscar worthy. Apparently its amazing.

The story of the protestant and the catholic queens of England and Scotland is a fascinating one.. here it seems to have been turned into a 'you go girl' story of strong women facing off against male oppression, with the same kind of men who died hundreds of years previously in a civil war for their queen Matilda suddenly realising that they are toxic males and are sexist and stupid and thats it.

Hard to shoehorn that into the spy vs spy one-beheads-the-other story of Mary vs Elizabeth. Who never actually met in real life..

A load of inaccuracies. Not least a major player in the Elizabethan court is.. a black man. Why not just have a Muslim and Anna Navaro to complete the set?

No prizes for guessing if he is a good guy or a bad guy in this movie. I hope I can say these things on the forum without being labelled a racist. It just gets me when the heritage of my country has to be rewritten to this extent and seemingly to prove ... Virtue Signalling? Kind of insane.

Everything about this film is supposed to be amazing apparently - when to me the acting and dialogue looks pretty shit.

One reviewer said "at the end I was left thinking.. what if we took the men in this story out the equation? Would it have been different between these women?"

Sure. Two Queens who never met and who wanted to eliminate each other to the point where one had the other killed..

But if only they'd have had a women only safe space... then they would have been skipping together with unicorns through fields of rainbow coloured flowers and unicorns.

Hilarious how they managed to put so many Africans into the British parliament - and into leading aristocratic positions no less!

Makes you wonder why they did sightseeing tours with Africans across the country even as late as 1850s because most people have never seen a black person in their life back then.

But here you were - black men and women ruling it all. Indeed - it was a woke time and the more woke you are, the more you realize that feminism and non-White diversity is our greatest strength!

I am still waiting for Hollywood to make this book into a film: "Black Slaveowners: Free Black Slave Masters in South Carolina, 1790-1860"

https://www.amazon.com/Black-Slaveowners...merReviews

Or perhaps Hollywood could make this biography into a film: "Black Masters: A Free Family of Color in the Old South," about William Ellison a former black slave and a wealthy and well-established owner of a large plantation who owned more slaves than all but the richest white plantation owners.

https://www.amazon.com/Black-Masters-Fam...0393303144

A study of history shows that slavery actually had little to do with skin color but with power and economics. In fact, "In the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, more than 300,000 white people were shipped to America as slaves."

Don't forget the millions of Europeans sold in the Islamic slave trade, I've yet to see a modern film on that. I guess it wouldn't fit Hollywood's narrative.
