Read that article about the movie Entourage. Some quotes:

Me too, the movie was pretty damn good, except for all that jungle book bullshit.

I'm wondering if we should start a thread called "You Can't Do That On Film Anymore" to chart the way political correctness is altering movies.

I keep finding clips from old teen movies I once considered innocuous and realizing they could never get made. Today it's all Disney/Pixar/feminist/empowerment crap.

But in this five-minute segment along from "Weird Science" I counted underage drinking and smoking, dirty talk about underage girls, what SJWs would consider racism and sexism...and then it occurred to me the main character (Kelly LeBroc) is herself a "sex object" created by nerds.

There is no way this movie would be made now, at least not in this form:

Whiplash is probably my favorite movie of 2014 along with Birdman. Simmons and Teller are fucking incredible. There is so much tension throughout the film, and that ending...man. What an ending!

Whiplash should have won best picture- it was the best release of 2014. To think the boring and gimmicky Boyhood (Richard Linklater) was even nominated is laughable- even Birdman wasn't worthy. Anyone seeing the new Jurassic Park this weekend? The original 1993 film is one of my all-time favorites.

Just rewatched Snatch after a very long time, forgot how good this movie actually is, they really don't make 'em like that anymore.

This scene with Vinnie Jones is also a great example of Alpha behaviour.

when I first heard Tom Grant claiming Kurt Cobain was killed rather than committing suicide I was skeptical, then I saw Soaked In Bleach and I seriously started considering his theory. the film presents a lot of facts, recordings of phone conversations and other things that challenge the suicide ruling. the investigations were definitely mishandled by the Seattle Police and the case deserves to be re-opened.

I watched Whiplash, Boyhood, and Birdman this week. I order all the Oscar nominated films from the local library and they just all happened to arrive the same week. Whiplash was outstanding -- and I truly loved the ending. Complex characters and outstanding drama. After watching Boyhood, which was overly long, I asked myself "Why did I just waste my time watching this tedious drivel?" Birdman was worth a view, much better than Boyhood, but not comparable to Whiplash.

If you want to view a truly mind blowing SciFi movie watch "Under the Skin" with Scarlett Johansson. Truly a unique movie. You will either love it or hate it. An interesting note: Most of the men that the Johansson character stalked and picked up on the street were random men, not actors. They were later asked for permission for inclusion in the film.

BTW: "Interstellar" has become one of my top-ten SciFi movies of all time. Truly outstanding!

I haven't been to the movies in a long time (Tired of all the superhero crap)
but this looks promising.

So I just checked out the new Justice League animated movie Gods and Monsters.



The movie is a alternate take on Superman, Batman, and Wonder woman.

Superman is the son of Zod instead of Jor El. He ends up getting raised by Mexican immigrants.

Batman is actually Kirk Langstrom aka as Man Bat.

Wonder woman is from the planet of the new Gods.

Overall it was a pretty great film, I wish it was longer. DC usually kills it with their animated movies, Now if only they could translate this to the live action films

I just watched The Drop with Tom Hardy and James Gandolfini. Hardy's performance was amazing and against type. If you're a Marvel movie fanatic, it may be too slow. I thought it was great. It's the kind of movie that sticks with you after watching.

I rewatched a particular scene between Hardy and one of the antagonists over and over again.

Saw the drop a couple months ago as well. Really good film.

Also saw gods and monsters, wasn't too impressed and I filed it under "pass time watches"

Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci And Al Pacino Will Star In New Film

Joe Pesci has come out from under his rock to team up with the equally iconic twosome that is Robert De Niro and Al Pacino, for a new film directed by none other than the man Martin Scorsese.

The film, which will be called I Heard You Paint Houses, is set for filming next year, and is based on a book by author Charles Brandt called I Heard You Paint Houses: The Story Of The Biggest Mob Hit In History.

I just watched Jurassic World, I though it was good for what it was.
The night before I watched San Andreas.. I don't know if the actual movie was any good or not I couldn't stop focusing on the Rocks daughters tits....

I finally saw Avengers Age of Ultron, not as good as the first one but still pretty good.

I didn't like quicksilver's fate in the film, marvel's version of him was a lot more entertaining than the Days of future past version.

I watched this documentary about Edward Snowden last night. Its highly rated on everything I have seen with a ratings system. Its a very telling and intimate look at the week leading up to the stories breaking about the NSA. While it was very informative and personal to me it was kind of lack luster. I know its not a Micheal Bay action thriller but it seemed some parts just drug out for to long, and the majority of the movie is footage shot inside a hotel room the week Eric Snowden met with the journalist he chose to break the story. I feel bad for him... he seemed to think he was doing a great deed which he was really.... but now hes just a fugitive and labeled as a traitor. Worth a watch for sure if you are interested in the behind the scenes of the NSA being outed on their ways.

6.5/10 (could be a 8/10 if you are really interested in the topic)

I saw it on Sunday. I really enjoyed the film. Fassbender's accent was flawless and will probably get an oscar nod for this or Steve Jobs.

Scotland looked beautiful and really did justice to the Isle of Skye.

The only criticisms are, I would have swapped the actors that played Banquo and MacDuff around.

And i would have cast a better actor for Malcolm...he was too young and wooden for that role.

Good movie, it didn't cover everything about Steve Jobs but that would have been pretty tough to do. But the parts it focused on and story it told were solid. Its always interesting for me to watch movies based on real life and this one was no different. I thought the cast and atmosphere for the time periods were solid. Worth a watch
