Adding some advice because everyone here seems to hate St. Paul. The key to St. Paul if you're younger (college age or slightly older) is hit up Grand Ave. Otherwise yes most of it's kind of lack luster. Minneapolis has more selection but St. Paul has less competition.

Is anybody "doing well" in minneapolish notch wise?

I'm especially curious about typical white guys. it seems like a place that would be better for a minority. anybody lived or spent time in seattle and minneapolis that can compare the two? In seattle there's definitely an edge for minorities.

Best thing about Minny are the East Africans. I saw some dimes at the Mall of America a while back. Want to make a trip but the flight price makes it not worth it for a 36 hour trip

I dont get your comment. Seattle is as white as it gets. Unkess you hit the Tacoma area. I was stuck in Seattle for three months. I did knock off a Black/Korean and some mixed chick but that was luck. Everywhere I went downtown was full of Asians and white people and gays. I wouldnt say minorities had an advantage.

I was only in Minny for one day but I would say its the same as Seattle. There are probably little hood spots where you can party at but the city seems to be as white bread as they come.

Speaking for myself, a typical white guy, no. It's tough when girls go into straight hibernation mode for 6 months a year. Finding girls to be much more approachable now with the nice weather. Birds just wanting their summer love atm.

I'd venture to guess minorities would kill it as Mixx's Midwest experience suggests. No Seattle experience, so can't compare.

I am in Minneapolis right now, at the W hotel bar downtown.

Did a round of nightgame last night (Pourhouse, Sneaky Pete's, Whiskey Park).

Pretty dead, but girls are friendly. Lots if guys in shorts at night. At first I was like "wow, there are a lot of backpackers in MPLS..."

Ugh, Sneaky Pete's is bro heaven. Last time I went I saw waaaay too many popped collars and about 5 women present in a completely packed place.

As a minority, I've never had too much of a problem in the twin cities. We're not rare enough to be completely foreign, but rare enough that without exception every girl I've been with from here has mentioned something about me being black - "I've always wanted to try out a black guy/is it true what they say/etc..." I have heard a few girls say they would never get with a black guy, which I always thought was weird, but they are definitely not the norm.

North Minneapolis and Brooklyn Center have a large black population, south Minneapolis has the largest population of Somalis living outside Somalia. St Paul has the biggest population of Hmong people in any US city, especially over by Frogtown.

Yeah if anybody is interested in a Somalian flag (pretty hard to get as many of the girls are not very westernized yet), Minneapolis or southern Minnesota in general is the place to go -- really any town over about 20,000 with at least one manufacturing or serious industrial district has a sizeable population of Somalians, though it seems that they're all gradually moving to Minneapolis or St. Paul. I don't think they go out drinking much, you're probably going to have to hang out at an ethnic grocery store or halal butcher shop and ask "Is this a quality bag of cambuulo?" or "Is that a good cut of meat?"

Co-sign for the venue info posted in this thread. I was in Minneapolis last week for 8 days.

The only venue I might add is Loring Kitchen and Bar, which is across the street from Loring Park. Good venue to start the night and I was usually to catch pairs of girls that were stopping in the get a bite to eat before heading out for the night.

Day game was more effective for me than night game, but I didn't hit any higher end venues though. I'd like to go back there suited up before it gets too cold.

Whoops.

I never followed up after I finished my trip there.

Ended up swooping a latina chick during night game.

I walked around for day game, but it was pretty dead... did a few prosaic approaches in the Target... it was hot, and I was hungover, so I didn't walk around for too long.

College/bro bars yielded much better talent than the more "upscale" lounges--although they tend to play stupid shit like 90s sing-a-longs which does not help get my dick in a vagina as well as bump-n-grind does.

Hmong chicks digged me a lot. I didn't run into a lot of them, but the two or three times I approached them, the group would serenade me with attention. One group started taking pictures like I was a celebrity.

White girls were friendly, but they by no means showed particular interest toward me.

It felt surreal reading back that post I made on here a couple months ago when I was in St. Paul. But I didn't really get to explore the Twin Cities like I wanted to. Three reasons why. 1) Don't go solo. 2) If you go solo, plan ahead. Where to go, stay, etc. 3) 2 days and 1 night = not enough time. I'll add a fourth. 4) Don't ever, ever, EVER drive 19 hours (one way) to visit a place for 2 days. If you can't afford to fly, wait until you can afford it.

Mapquest how long it takes to drive from New Jersey to Minnesota. I know, I was freakin' INSANE for doing that. I had to get my car repaired once I got home. I stayed at a motel. Midway Motel or something. It was off this highway that has crazy construction going on. You have to do like 3-4 circles just to do a U-turn. The rest of my time there feels like a blur. I was supposed to transfer there for work, but I wasn't even there a full day when the guy denied my transfer rather than being honest about it on the phone a couple weeks before. So I lost my motivation to explore the Cities more and just went home the next day.

The little I do remember, now that I'm done digressing from the topic of this thread.. Lol.. the girls there are pretty cute. At least, the ones that I saw. Mostly white girls, of course. It does seem like a pretty decent place to daygame. I never got to test the theory of how the white girls are in that area with black guys unfortunately. But I'm not surprised about the stuff I've heard regarding that cuz the girls there seem pretty approachable. Well, most of them. It also seems a lot more laid back and more my style. Not as fast paced and hyper like the East Coast. I want to do a return trip one day, but do it the right way.

Hey Guys I live In Minneapolis and use to blog about the scene a bit. Minneapolis for nightgame has truly fallen off in the last few years however that doesn't mean that you can't Grenade Mack out here. Most guys here don't dress up at all and dress like slobs. Here are my favorite places to go if I do go out

Downtown:



5. Pourhouse--I hate this place now a days but this is where girls go to get sloshed and hammered. If you're a white guy and know how to dress you will kill it here since most guys either don't or are old guys bringing their hot wives out (and belief you me those wives are looking around). The music is loud I suggest upstairs if you wanna talk to these hoes or downstairs for dancing then take her on a smoke break CHA CHING



4. Aqua--Not really a "Pick UP" spot, but the young hotties go there and I like young chicks so I go there sometimes as well. Don't be shocked to see Ricky Rubio or one of your favorite ballers there. VIP is best here you don't have to get a bottle service. I would recommend befriending a bouncer or something so you don't have to pay the $40 for it. Hell I don't



3. 508--My buddy and I go here and Grenade Mack hard. Usually you can find some slore who is willing to be violated by your ding dong. Lot of mixed sets don't be surprised or scared. Sticking around after it closes usually is a plus (but who wants to stick around when it's cold, summer time is best)



2. The Loop--Don't Sleep on this place, Its a gem by the warehouse district. It doesn't get popping till around midnight, the chicks come through and they DTF especially summer time. Dress nice, be in good shape and you're golden. It's hit or miss though but yeah chicks go to this place to get smashed. Usually I go there after Honey

1. Honey--This place is a little gem, over northeast, they play great music and people come here to dance and have fun. The ratio is 2 to 1 here and you can have your pick. The only thing is you gotta be able to dance or it's pointless since you can't talk for shit great place to meet chicks.

Uptown

5. The Tavern formerly the drink--This place should be avoided and I seldom go here however it has a great rooftop and the chicks love it. Don't be surprised if you run into PUA's here since they love this place. Chicks are average here nothing special, just a great rooftop...during the summertime

4. Bar Abilene--This is known as the "hook up bar" I don't care for it but it makes sense. The women here are an odd mix. You could spot a chick who is Model caliber just to see another chick who looks like she should be locked in a zoo. Typically after 1 am this is the place to go and get some hoes if you trying to smash. Personally I don't care for this place. On Thursdays they do salsaa dancing if you know how to do it you will easily do well here(white women trying to get they latino on ha ha)



3. Stella's--This place is HNNNNNNNNG! Ratio is easily 3:1 on Saturdays sometimes, blondes everywhere! The problem? it's hard to holla when most girls are seated so you gotta be able to smooth it since it's loud(they got music). If you got a wing this is the place to be on Saturday and do some serious damage. I like this place chicks are friendly and if you know how to engage you shouldn't have a problem. The rooftop upstairs is sick as well

2. Williams--This place is eeeh. I mean sometimes you go here and it's some showstoppers then other nights it's nothing but average chicks. It's always worth the checking out though. They have great happy hour specials and chicks love guys who have balls and approach


1. Bar Louie--Hands down my favorite place. Tons of talent, and it's easy to approach since there is no dancefloor. Thrusday-Saturdays are the best nights to go. Summer time is epic here grab a drink chill outside by the patio and just watch the talent stream in. I call this "HNNNG central" If you're black or white don't matter this is the place to be just bring your A-Game hombre!

Other Places

The W--hotties, cougars, milfs etc. You'll find some top of the top here best be suited and booted and being shape helps a ton.

Brothers--great warm up bar that's about it

Whiskey Park--Slept on place but has potential to be one of the best places in the city, they just gotta get more people in but they have tons of space ask for Tyler (that's my homie) he'll get you in for free!

Cowboy Jacks--Don't sleep on this place yeah it's a country bar but Minnesota chicks are country ha ha great place to get it warmed up, nice ass rooftop

Places that are wack (and should be avoided)

Seven--Yeah the chicks are hot but this place is overrated nothing but gold diggers and chicks looking for a sponsor. If you like those types this is your place

Club New York--nothing but ratchets and hoodrats....hell no

Imperial room--nothing but ratchets and hoodrats and they want a cover too? hell no

Moose Country--HELLLLL NOOO, this place is trailer trash bro

The Onion--overrated, and lame, racists too so if you're a minority avoid this place like the plague. Plus slow service and people on steroids trying to fight...No thanks!

Great report. I was at Aqua almost a year ago. It was a Sunday night and a mainly black crowd but the white girls that showed up were definitely open minded I would say.

I've been gone over a year from MSP but hopefully these are still relevant, if not tell me. To add to it a little, my favourite spots for the college girls were:

U of Minneapolis:

The area around the U called Dinkytown has lots of college bars. The Library (best place in the city!) & Killarneys were my favourite: cheap drink specials and close to the U, always full of drunk college girls

St Thomas girls:

The bars clustered on Grand Ave. Tiffanys & Plums were my favourites of the lot. Tiffany's for their Thirsty Thursdays was always good because they had a free shuttle service to St Thomas (so lots of freshers) and 2-for-1 Jagerbombs (so lots of drunk freshers).

I just checked online to see what the weather is in Minneapolis. It's -4 degrees as we speak and its state ranked #2 today as the coldest in the country right behind Alaska. Damnnnnnn!!

I guess that's why the term, cuffing season, is used up there this time of year. Bag as many numbers and chicks as you can while it's warm. Cuz you'll need them for the later months. I almost moved there this past summer. But my mistake is, even to this day, I still haven't explored the Twin Cities and got a feel for it. Maybe March or April. I'll pass for now. Lol.

I'm staying at the W hotel in downtown Minneapolis for work this week.

I'll be heading out Friday afternoon so I won't be around for the weekend. I plan on checking out a few of the downtown spots recommended in 'Thesoloist' post above. It looks like most of the recommendations are for weekends. Are there any Downtown spots to check out on the weeknights?

I'm planning on checking out Prohibition bar and Manny's steakhouse for dinner but any other recommendations are appreciated. Thanks

I don't go out weekdays since I'm on work mode then plus IMO weekdays suck donkey balls

Tuesdays--The onion is cool if you like college chicks but if you're black I would stay away from that place like the plague
