Situational openers
What is the forums view on situational openers? Who uses them and to what extent and results?
I have read both Bang and Day Bang but has still opted to mostly go direct so far.
For my latest batch of approaches I went *very* direct but now I want to start trying situational openers more since I so far am getting different (better) reactions.
Last time I went out I used two good situational openers IMO. First I accidentally bumped into a girl and said sorry which caused her to smile at me. Then I went back to her and said something like "you know maybe it was destiny that we crashed into each other" with a slight smirk/ironic touch to it.
The second was when I saw a girl in line to the bathroom who looked bored so I just asked her "are you bored?".
Also, this is a bit of an odd question, but is there a way to improve your ability to come up with good situational openers? I find that being in the moment and enjoying yourself is key, but I mean is there a way to train yourself to come up with innovative and effective situational openers?

RE: Situational openers
To improve your ability to come up with good situational openers observe what's going on around you and use the "moment" to start conversations. It can anything like their clothes, their haircut, their behavior, their attitude, their looks, the people around, the place, the music, their drinks, what they're doing at the moment, what they're saying etc basically any circumstances that can be used as a context for the conversation.
You're passing by a girl at school who is waiting for the professor in front of his room and you tell her to not go inside cause he's weird little perv who tried to pick YOU up once and that she might be his type as well blablablablabla. That's a situational opener. In this case the context is that you're both go to the same school and have the same teacher. That kind of opener has a lot better chances to "work" than telling her she's pretty.

RE: Situational openers
I find it very effective in using opinion openers with a 2 set or larger. Most of the time these girls can't make up their mind and be assertive with their answer, I see them looking at their friends for approval a lot of the times (sign of vulnerability I can take advantage later on when isolating that girl from her group of friends )
When a girl is by herself I try to connect with her with something that we have in common, either on a physical level (color of her eyes, complexion, or her style of clothing) or with something that we both enjoy doing outside of the club/bar what have you.
Girls want to know from the get go if they are a compatible match with you either consciously or subconsciously; it's in their DNA. The quicker you can find commonalities, whether it be true or just bullshit and lies, the better chance you have in getting the lay. Do you guys tend to agree?
