2012 began with a glass of champagne getting thrown in my face because my buddy made an asshole comment to some chick with poor aim (I happened to be standing next to him). The rest of the year was considerably better, but there's still a lot of work to be done in 2013.

Good Shit...

- I finished my thesis and knocked out a masters degree in a program that I loved.
- Did some strong work in Denmark/Sweden (added bonus - this was the first time I'd traveled outside of North America in over 10 years).
- Scored a takedown with a southern chick that went to an SEC school (this was bucket list material).
- Discovered the wonders of personal lubricant and polyisoprene condoms.
- Drove across the country for the third time.
- Struggled through a Tough Mudder, and kept my sorry ass in shape.
- Finally made the move to my favorite city in the US after locking down a new job that I was really fired up about. Set myself up in a sweet pad. I had been talking about doing this for years and finally put on the big boy pants and got it done.

Not So Good Shit...

- Relapsed a bit with the boozing. This steadily got worse as the year went on.
- Ruined my first two weeks in the new city due to the item above, getting myself off to a poor start in a strange, unfamiliar place.

On balance, that doesn't look too bad, but I still need to get my shit straightened out in the drinking department. That's goal 1-A that I need to get refocused on. Some others...

- Score a takedown in the new digs.
- Step up my style game and invest in my wardrobe. Specifically, I need to find clothes that actually fit me so all my tucked in shirts don't create the skinny-dude-muffin-top. I hate that shit.
- Get back into playing music at a serious level.
- Gain that ever-elusive 10 lbs of muscle.
- Get involved with some local activities to keep from becoming a hermit. Put myself out there a bit more than I have been. This should get a bit easier once the summer approaches.

I'm sure there will be more, but that's what I have for now.

2011...the darkest year.
2012...the hangover of the darkest year.
2013...LEGENDARY...?

2012 wasn't my best year, per se, but it was the most productive. On January 3rd I got into internet marketing (I do PPC affiliate marketing). And no, I won't be your "location independent lifestyle mentor," especially if I've never met you, so don't ask . If you want a mentor you need to be able to offer the person *real* value. Don't just expect someone to help you out for no reason...

Anyway.. I'm definitely not where I want to be yet with the affiliate marketing, but I'm moving forward and learning a ton. I'm excited for 2013. I'm going to ASW in Las Vegas in less than 2 weeks. Looking forward to networking with other affiliates and getting some Vegas women pregnant.

I didn't bang as many girls as I would have liked in 2012.

I barely traveled at all this year. It's all good though.. becoming a good marketer is my #1 priority right now.

Yeah. Woke up one day and couldn't open my jaw. (7/18/12 to be exact, day after my b-day) I thought it was the steak or the rum or something. Figured out later that I kept my jaw tight the whole night, and it was probably grinding.

Best year ever! I grew tremendously in so many areas of my life.

- Finally started my entrepreneurial path.
- Quit my very good paying job.
- Travelled a lot as I had promised myself.
- Been with the most beautiful girl ever, which has given me insane pain and insane joy for the full year - felt so insanely alive!
- I am in the best shape of my life - keeps improving.
- Read more than ever.

Not so good.

- The above girl - I would have had fewer worries without her.
- Did not manage to sell my house.
- Still not good at conservative drinking, it's kind of like all or nothing.

@ElJefe-most of my problems were due to money related issues. My main goal for 2013 is to make more money to avoid fiascos that could otherwise be very easily prevented. I've been checking out the lifestyle forums for ideas. Im hoping to come up with a solid strategy by the beginning of next year. I'll also try out the vitamin c.

I would say 2012 was a good year for me.

Banged some nice looking girls and upped my game. I started a new job that so far is going great, at the same time I've been upping the freelance writing thing. Although I haven't made much money yet I'm excited that I started it from scratch with no experience. All the clients have been really happy with my work. Continuing on this theme, I am currently being mentored in learning to become a copywriter. It's something that I enjoy doing, and I'm going to keep it up as a side business while I work full time. I want to thank the guys on this forum for the suggestions with that(Andy_B, Beyond Borders, and RichieP are the first guys that come to mind)

There is no cure for grinding. Only prevention (night-guard) or stress reduction (natural or medical). This is v. common among high level proffesionals, graduate students, or any other discpline w/heavy stress and long hours (aka minimal sleep).

Havent really kept track of the # of girls, but SF until June about 15-20 notches (3 semi-GFs to hold me down during the weekdays), 3 notches in 5 months in LA, 13 notches in 3 weeks Taiwan/Thailand. All in all, about 30-40 new notches.

Graduated dental school. Had mild depression afterwards. The stress of graduating, taking board examinations, finishing my patient load at school, dealing w/school bureacracy and nonsense, moving out of my favorite city in USA (San Francisco), and leaving the bubble of school. Came back to LA. Started working 6days/week.

Parents bought me a new whip w/out my knowlege- LS460 as a graduation present. Rolled up to kick it w/friends from home. Instant jealously in their eyes. They stopped calling me to hang out, being weird. Lost 90% of my LA friends in first 2 weeks home. Moderate depression hit....no pussy in my life, heavy workload, few friends.

Learned to spend a lot of time by myself. Started reading a lot, hitting the gym 4-5 times/week (BF- 10%), visited Vancouver for 3 weeks, visited Thailand/Taiwan for 3 weeks solo (after a friend bailed last minute). Improving my skills as a dentist.

Goals for next year-
1) Save up 50k
2) Become more experienced dentist
2) Travel to 2 more countries
3) Continue w/the gym
4) Build some good LA knowlege.

Game Wise: Terrible. Only had 2 notches the entire year. Bad combo of shit luck and just being shit. Like how Roosh said in his recent article, there were times this year where I just wanted to quit. But, I knew that the best thing to do is the hang in there and keep improving. Will be taking all the lessons learned from this year into next year. Will work for and not hope for a better year.

Outside of game: Great actually. Went from working 2 crap jobs to becoming a manager at one of them which is more money than working 2 combined along with less expenses. Been doing it since Mid Sept and things are going better than expected. Also got a pretty nice ride which is what I always wanted.

I call 2012, the Jekyll and Hyde year. Amazing how things were so good on one end and complete crap on the other.

This year was perhaps my best year. I remember every party and such like it was yesterday. I remember my little ass trying to eat a lot and such. I look back at 2012 Rosca with a smile. When you look back at your life you see how awesome it really is.

I lost my virginity on the beach. I say it a lot here but fuck that's a bang. I'm glad the cops didn't catch me either!

As I went back to school I had a cool roommate. I remember waking up in the meeting room with my mattress across the table and some cinnabuns beside me. He was capturing some Pokemon that night obviously. But with my roommate we were like Ash and Gary.

Almost fought an Asian guy at a party.
Got drunk and posted on RVF
Got high and posted on RVF
Tripped on acid and posted on RVF
Made out with a wizard on Halloween.
Wait the acid trip was after Halloween but I did post on here.
Got suspended for being in a room shirtless and shooting toy guns at a dean
Went to rehab for 6 weeks.

2013 Rosca:
Who knows what I'll get into this year. But I'm def chilling on the drugs. If anything I did 150 push-ups today and I am going to start 2013 way better than that man.

So after I tripped on Acid I lost so much of a grasp of reality. When with my friends in the woods I kept screaming "LIFE'S A GAME IT'S A FUCKING GAME". While my friends kept telling me its not.

Days later I emailed my mom telling her I lost my phone. (Same party I made out with that wizard. She texted me some cute shit too ).

Mom flips out, I forward messages to the provost. Dean comes in and my minds so warped into this weird reality that I'm shooting the toy guns at the dean.

Got sent to this hospital and such and I was scared as fuck. My parents came and told me to just stay in the room and relax. But I couldn't I screamed and threw my shoes at the door. They had to strap me down and inject some chemical in me to shut my crazy ass up.

So...2013 Rosca is getting into Stronglifts, getting a job and growing his nigga hair out.

Positives:

- Fucked a girl until she got ego death orgasms. She kept asking me "did you kill me?" and answering "I don't think we can see each other later, I think I'm dead now" when we talked about seeing each other later.

- Got a cushy 100K/year internet job with a semi respectable degree

- Earned a frequent flyer gold card for 2013

- Lived mostly in a 5000 sq ft tropical SEA mansion

Negatives:

Can't remember, and even if I did, I doubt I'd care.

- Now feeling confident and comfortable with my game. Still have room for improvement.
- Went to atleast 13 concerts I can remember, and at least 12 pro sports games. Good times.
- Have brought my alcohol consumption under control. I still get toasted sometimes, but not blackout drunk.


Negatives
- Still not fully self-employed.

2012 was also a strong year for me.

Negatives:
Uncle died late Dec 2011, dealing with the after effects was tough.

Positives:
More bangs this year than any other year. One notch that stands out in particular was going out stone cold sober and solo and picking up a 22 y.o. GWU graduate at my favorite bar. We went back to her place where we fucked on her balcony while overlooking the city. It was there when I had a "slap in the face" moment--when things get shitty--game is always there to pick you up.
That very next day, I attended the RVF DC meetup--great meeting Roosh and everyone there.
I left my comfy job as a cook in a chain restaurant, taking less pay and working longer hours but becoming instrumental in taking a small food shop/fine dining establishment to establishing a name for itself in DC.
On top of that, I helped open a neighborhood bar in DC. When you know every person on the staff...people see you and it feels good.
I started Jim Wendler's 5-3-1 program and saw great results after 4 cycles. Additionally, I read Starting Strength and corrected my squat and deadlift forms. Now, I will be tracking the gains closely throughout 2013.

This was another defining year for me, following what was an okay 2011. It's all about using the momentum to grab 2013 by the horns.
