If you look at state expenditures and revenues you will see very few Asians on welfare and other aid but paying disproportionate amounts of tax per capita due to their high success rate. I am no Asian btw. I find it astonishing that something as obvious as population differences in phenotype and cultural outcomes is considered taboo. Adoption twin studies are very revealing in this regard.
Asian men are hugely successful so they have been handicapped by "feminine" and "small penis" myths throughout popular culture, they've been receiving the OPPOSITE of affirmative action consideration that other minorities receive - they're literally being handicapped and having their quotas capped at prestigious universities because there's "too many" Asians on campuses already. I'm not Asian but I greatly admire their culture and think it's ridiculous the way they're being capped at the knees at the expense of other American minorities. Why do we get to decide what ethnic groups get huge advantages versus huge handicaps?
I think the main "anti Django" argument is that QT is playing up and taking the opposite "easy way out" in some ways by portraying the stereotypical ultra-ultimate, huge-dicked black male that is automatically cooler than every (southern) white male around. There was literally no true foil to Django - only an incestuous and asexual Leo DiCaprio and an older asexual Christoph Weisz - which is fine... just sayin'. Every other man in the movie was an asexual/cuckolded white male which can be critically viewed as QT taking the "easy way out".
White guys in turn are going to be defensive - they're ridiculed regularly in everything from Southwest Airlines commercials to romcoms to History channel documentaries. Most of us are cool as shit about it - I loved "Django" even though I silently noted all the issues and statements I mentioned above).
A lot of "Mad Men"'s popularity is directly related to it's on-the-surface glorification of white males (even though in many subtle ways it's doing the opposite over the course of the series) during their heyday of the 1950's and 1960's. It's relief for WASPS all over America to finally have a show in which they're not cuckolded, ridiculed, and in which they're finally portrayed in an alpha manner - triumphing over women, life, etc.

Dude, come to California. Elderly Chinese immigrants have become especially heavy users of welfare, relative to other nationalities.
There's a whole industry of welfare cheats immigrating to the US from China. Except in their language they don't call it welfare checks. They call it "fringe benefits".
Singtao USA, the local chinese newspaper, has a weekly column on how to maintain your "fringe benefits" --ie how to work the welfare system. Because there's an entire industry of importing people from asia with fake paperwork claiming to be old country relatives, then sticking them on the US welfare system. Are they really relatives? No. But for a $50 bribe in their home country they've got all the paperwork they need to jump to the front of the line and start getting those "fringe benefits" from the US fed. And for a $1000 bribe to an existing anchor family on the take, they're in like Flynn.
There are so many Chinese immigrants in welfare housing in San Francisco and Oakland, they have their own placement agency.

And then we are much better than the Gammas and Deltas. Gammas are stupid. They all wear green, and Delta children wear khaki. Oh no, I don't want to play with Delta children. And Epsilons are still worse. They're too stupid to be able to read or write. Besides they wear black, which is such a beastly color. I'm so glad I'm a Beta."

RE: Django Unleashed
Saw it yesterday, it was really great although not as great as Inglorious Basterds. The main theme (racial revenge) does get a bit worn out, I have to admit, and there are lots of deus-ex-machina situations. Still, I have no problem with the racial aspect. If anything, it is softened by Schultz being there too and despising slavery from another point of view.
Speaking of which, the movie loses steam after Schultz's departure. It's still good and fun, but he provides such great energy to the film that it's impossible to not feel like a balloon had been popped. The heroism does make things better, though, but I was disappointed that Django and his wife didn't get the idea of going to Germany (where their descendants would be fucked by Hitler a few generations later, but still).
